Everything is delicious here and the hours are great. Bagel Boss has a friendly staff and they are fast. The lines may be long but they move quickly and there’s a reason they are long!

It’s great that they are open 24 hours. I have been there two times now and it has been helpful that they are open so early. I like the bagels, they go a little heavy on the cream cheese which is okay. The coffee is excellent. I only docked a star because the bagels seem exceptionally salty — for whatever reason. They’re pretty nice in there and again I do recommend them. Another great bagel joint is Village Bagel in Sy-oh-sset down the road on Jackson Avenue near the Sy-oh-sset LIRR station!

If I could, I would eat bagels all the time. This place is really the only place you need for bagels. Order cream cheese and it’s liked a mile high for you. I sometimes throw tuna salad or egg salad on the bagel. I always get a toasted onion bagel. Love getting tomato and onion on my bagels too. Iced coffee selections are really solid here too. Didn’t even mention the best part yet. It’s open 24⁄7. So when it’s 2 in the morning and I realize I want an amazing bagel, they have me covered.

Place was messy unclean when I went. Took long time to make an egg, no cheese, bagel though line was short. The bagel tastes ok but I like Bethpage Bagels better.

Alright here we go. As a first time visitor here this is why i gave this place 2 stars, barely. If you are accustomed to New York CITY bagels venturing out to Long Island for any reason and thinking to grab a bagel is not a very good idea. Cream cheese selections are tiny! maybe 4 – 5 compared to the 20+ in city establishments. Now the actual bagel. If you like bagels with barely any toppings on the them and talk about MINI bagels than this is the place to be. Everything bagels should be drenched on both sides with all the goods. Now if you order a egg sandwich with sausage be prepared to taste some morning star sausage patties. Its just not the same! The service was good which is important to me but other than sorry i will never be back. Horrible start to our day. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

I have been to four Bagel Boss locations and have never been disappointed. The chop chop salad is very fresh and the bagels are awesome. I wish they would open up a downtown Manhattan location.

3.5 stars. I’ve been here a few times and I must say they’ve got maybe the best bagels on Long Island(not the NYC area, let’s not get carried away). Bagels here are fresh and there is a large variety of spreads for all bagel lovers. Service is really friendly and prices are very reasonable. Good spot if you’re craving breakfast in Plainview.

Fresh bagels 24⁄7 served by some super cute bearded dudes. What more can a girl ask for? My onion bagel with lox was on point, so was the cucumber salad and matzah ball soup. I’d almost consider moving to LI with the cute-dudes-serving-bagels-at-3-AM combo. Almost.

The best. And that’s 24⁄7 folks. They always hire the best people too. I grew up with this place and once I turned 21, I realized how important this institution is, after last call… Long live Bagel Boss!

The lines are long for a Saturday and by the time we got to the register, they then decided that they needed more than two people to get this line moving. I’m not connoisseur of bagels, so to me, most bagels taste the same. While I do wish they had a better selection of bagels, they do carry the basics — cinnamon raisin, plain, garlic, etc. I had a toasted garlic bagel with the cinnamon raisin cream cheese. I’m in love with the cream cheese! That alone has made this place stand out for me. The bagel itself was alright, half the garlic had fallen off my bagel by the time I ate it, but the cream cheese really sealed the deal. Aside from their unique varieties of cream cheese, the other upside is that this place is open 24/7, which i’m sure will come in handy one day. All in all, a decent bagel place that’s close to home and will satisfy my breakfast needs. Just be prepared to wait a while…

Loved my fresh egg bagel topped with scallion cream cheese! They have great service here and while I was waiting, I was constantly being asked if I was being helped. I wasn’t too big of a fan of the taste of the iced coffee — there’s an iced coffee machine and a machine for the creamer, milk, etc. However, I’ll definitely be coming back for a bagel.

I laugh when I walk into this place. There is a sign, no outside food because we’re kosher but they spelled Matzoh«Matzah». Come on now! Now don’t get all stupid on me saying back in Israel, the old sect spelled it Matzah. Shut up! You’re in Lawg Island, spell it the way we all know! Regardless of the signage, Bagel Boss makes a pretty good bagel. They’re salty, malty, large and in charge. You could even say(Pinky up to lip) They’re the Bagel Boss??? Saturday morning, I came in with my wife this AM and we split a bagel with olive cream cheese. Everything about this bagel was spot on. The cream cheese had a bit of saltiness with the olive and the bagel had the«grab» of a perfect bagel. A neighborhood spot that’s been around forever.

Bagel Boss is an accurate name. They have the perfect bagels. The taste, freshness, chewiness, and even the density of the dough are perfect. The egg everything bagel is my favorite. It’s great any time of day or night.

Great quality bagels and appetizing but unless you can appreciate a place where you get a bagel sandwich and a drink for over $ 10 then this might not be the place for you. 14 different kinds of tuna and fresh-baked cookies and pastries, and if you’re not hungry when you get there you will be by the time it’s your turn in line. I had the baked salmon salad on a raisin bagel, a real favorite of mine. If you’re going to spend the money, a bagel with cream cheese or tuna or egg salad is just not the right thing to splurge on.

I think this visit was my last. Over the last several years I have watched the prices here increase and the level of customer service and the quality of the bagels decrease. For what ever reason, I kept giving bagel boss of Hicksville a chance to redeem itself in my eyes. But if your employees are too distracted and disconnected from your customers to correctly prepare an order for a simple breakfast sandwich, from now on I will take my business elsewhere.

Bagel Boss might be one of the most magical bagel havens you could happen upon. Being a kosher bagel shop, you won’t be able to get bacon or meat with anything. Dairy only. And that’s fine. But everything else you would want on a bagel is available to you. The bagels firstly, are top notch typical New York bagels. Chewy outside, delicious and doughy on the inside. All their side salads and spreads are delicious. I’ve had dreams about their scallion cream cheese on their egg bagel. One star taken away because it is unclear where to start the line to pay. There is a small handwritten sign but it’s pretty intense there when it’s busy. There really should be a neon sign or something. People and lines(hungry people especially) can be tricky you know? Keep the peace. :)

This bagel shop is open 24 hours a day. They have a great selection of bagels, spreads, pastries, and drinks. And did I mention this is all available 24 hours a day? I stopped in for my usual pumpernickel bagel with smoked salmon. Both were on par with the other bagels on LI! In fact, The pumpernickel bagel was one the best I’ve had.

Nice place with a decent selection of fresh bagels. The cream cheese section isn’t as expansive as I’ve seen at some other places but it’s not bad. There’s seating inside so you can enjoy your bagel right there. They also have a few deli style subs and salads with cold cuts. I also like their dessert section with croissants, pastries, pies and babkas.

If the fact that my first stop post arriving at JFK after a sleepless redeye was here isn’t a great indicator of 5*: what is?! My BF knew I’d want a bagel, as he hand carried the last one I’d consumed 1+ yr ago. Off we went to the Boss. The counter guys couldn’t have been nicer, my guy is a reg and we explained my jones for a Pumpernickel with Lox and Israeli Salad. Sweet fella grabbed me a hot ‘nickel and LOADED that bad boy up with Lox-y cream cheese fabulosity. Wrapped half to go for Breakkie the next day and was stuffed. It is a Kosher establishment, which means absolutely no outside food/drinks. Though usually open and making those amazing bagels, bialys and flagels 24/7, they do close for High Holidays. When friends do fly in from home, the hand carry cannot be beat. They do ship, but nothing beats a disk of delight made with love hours before. It is to a point that I don’t eat bagels outside of NY. Why bother, IMO. Lots of salads to choose from in appetizing cases, soups, etc. but clearly bagels are boss here.
