Love this place. Soft ice cream reduced calories. Medium cone, about 4″, 100 calories! Also super chopped salads. Can’t wait to go back!

Fellow Unilocaler BG and I come here on a weekly basis for business discussions. Nice atmosphere with plenty of room. The associate Kim can have an attitude so make sure you spell your order out nice and clear so she understands. Overall not a bad place. It is good for a nice healthy snack that you don’t look back on and say why did I eat this.

Hmm, a shill and an undeserved one-star blast. Lemme weigh in. D’Lites is similar to many other joints that do low-calorie ice cream, yogurt, wallpaper paste, whatever in a cup. What sets them apart? Pros: + Serving size. You get a decent amount of ice cream in a medium cup. More than LC in Woodbury, which charges the same price. + Coupons. Apparently they do a lot of coupons. I went in with one! + Individualized toppings in little cups. You can add toppings as you eat, which is nice. + It’s not self serve, despite Eric M.‘s astute observations. I don’t need no 16-Handled mess, we had that on the Upper East Side, and man was it over-rated(I heard they’re in Plainview now, too). I’d rather a counter girl with clean hands work the machine, thanks. Cons: — Price. Place ain’t cheap. But see above: coupons. — Limited flavors. I’m not sure I’m so broken up about this. It’s soft-serve, how many flavors do you need? Carvel has two soft-serve flavors. Two. — Attitude. No, Deborah, the staff was not kind. I clearly interrupted the world’s most important text message when I approached the counter, or at least that’s what the counter girl’s eye roll told me. — Hot pink. Again, I’m reminded of the Upper East Side, that pizza place on Second Avenue that was done up in hot pink and white. Clearly someone loves pink, and you know the type — they love pink SOMUCH and EVERYTHINGISPINK and OMGYOUGUYSWOULDN’T ITBESOCUTEIFWEHADHOTPINKTO-GOBAGSAND stop. Take it down a notch with the hot pink. So, I’m not blown away, but I’m not turned off. I’ll be back. A tip, out of the control of D’Lites: that stop-light to turn back onto Jericho Tpk: bring a pillow, take a nap. You’ll be sitting at that light for a while.

It looks like a self serve with the toppings at your fingertips but they are all covered and individualized. It looks like you can choose a lot but you have to pay for each one. The flavors are limited and it is expensive. You think you are eating yogurt but some are low fat ice cream and the difference is not clear. Worth driving further to find a better place.
