Purchased a Radio Shack brand stereo cable extender for cash. Tossed the receipt. Went back to store because it was a mono cable. Asked for a refund or exchange. I was told by the assistant mgr that I must have a receipt to exchange or refund. Cable is Radio Shack brand where do they think I bought it. WTF. The stores return policy must be in plain site. No such info was available.
DO NOT BUY FROM RADIO SHACK

This radioshack has a helpful staff except one member on the staff who tried to sell me a service plan and keep going after I said no multiple times he than had the nerve to offer me a cell phone. Everyone else was nice and helpful and that is why I have given this store 4 stars

I stopped by this Radio Shack today to buy a short cable to use my MP3 player in my car.
I hadn’t been in a Radio Shack for several years and now I remember why.
Predatory sales «help» and a limited stock of overpriced merchandise were and remain the hallmark of Radio Shack.
They didn’t have the cable I needed anyway, although I saw the spot for it on the rack along with the price, so I thankfully left the store.
Came home, looked on Amazon and got the exact cable I needed for less money, even with the postage added in.
Frankly, I don’t know how this chain stays in business.

It’s radio shacks like this one that’s making a bad name for the chain: their service people don’t care to truly help, except to try to make a sale. Other radio shacks aren’t much better. Makes me want to stop supporting the chain altogether.

I would say it has been at least 20 years since i have been in a Radio Shack store.
Boy has it changed. Totally unrecognizable, Now it looks more like a cell phone store.
I went in to find out about an ac adapter for one of my customers.
The salesman/​cashier was helpful and friendly and pointed out the ac adapters that they had.
I did not bring the stats of the ac adapter with me so unfortunately ill have to go back.
overall the store was fine, help was good, and for what i needed the selection was good.
