Some of the nicest guys work this shop. They actually pay a fair price if you sell them used gear. They have really decent prices for a small shop. Yet they carry boutique high ticket items as well. They let you try instruments and they are very knowledgeable if you have questions. They are smart about selling their merchandise online too because that keeps them afloat. Genius. Lastly, they support local musicians by turning their shop into a venue at night! All of these things keep me going back and make me go out of my way to do business here.

i went here for the first time yesterday and it was a pretty cool store. i was a little bummed about the small selection of basses but they had some cool guitars and unique vintage amps. they also have a bunch of old issues of guitar player magazine for real cheap, i found some pretty cool stuff in there. the one guy we talked to was really nice and fun to talk to. they have smaller bands play here every once in a while and i’d love to come up and check that out sometime. they also do guitar and amp repairs, which is pretty sweet. definitely check this place out.

Gorham Bros. hosted a show that my band was lucky enough to play while passing through Syracuse. We arrived a few hours early, and we were very grateful we did. Gorham Brothers Music, to me, represents everything a guitar shop should be. Knowledgeable owners, on the spot repairs, and a gnarly variety of products. Boutique guitar pedals. More than reasonably priced second hand and vintage gear– not to mention it’s all killer stuff. No Johnson basses, or Daisy Rock beaters. We were lucky that our vehicle was already at capacity, otherwise we may have been taking home some of those beautiful Old Soul cabinets(crafted by Ryan Gorham). After the show, Bobby and Brad helped me choose a fuzz pedal that I nabbed at the last minute. I can’t wait to visit sometime in the near future. I cannot recommend this shoppe enough.

Great little shop in Syracuse not far from major hotels and routes. Someone answered the phone right away when I called; I received excellent service and knowledge both via telephone and in person. They had exactly what I was looking for which was an added bonus to the already great experience. This Canadian girl is impressed and recommends a visit. Support your independent shops.

A big shout-out to Gorham Brothers Music for being exactly what a small business should be. Had my Carvin tube amp fixed through them and was still having similar problems a couple weeks earlier. I brought it back in and they fixed it at NO cost despite a good deal of work that still needed to be done. No BS corporate fee policies or pushing products on you that you don’t need. If you play an electric instrument and you’re in Syracuse, I highly recommend you check the place out. They have a great selection of boutique gear. They helped me build an amazing strat guitar at a good cost. I’m super happy to support a small shop that values their customers and do business the right way. I wish there were more small businesses like it around.
