I don’t quite understand the function of having employees in this store, other than to make sure people don’t walk away with merchandise. If you want to play around with a Surface Pro and don’t have the urge to ask any questions, go ahead and check this place out. But if you have any questions or want someone to tell you why you should buy a Surface Pro over an iPad or MacBook Air(otherwise known as «customer service» or «sales»), you are out of luck. I have never encountered a more apathetic, untrained, and uneducated group of employees in a tech store in my life.

I walked in to this store with the intentions to ask my question and get out. I wanted to know what the student discount they offered was and if they had any discounts so I could price match with best buy(that I had a gift card for). The employee that I talked to asked if he was getting paid on a commission, reminding me a lot of a car salesman. Tried taking advantage of an older woman and her teenage son acting like we were stupid. My advice, if you plan on purchasing anything from there… Go down the mall to best buy, they have great customer service.

This store has only been open for a short time, but I decided before it even opened(Nov. 13, 2014, I believe?) that I had to make a trip to it. I had previously purchased one of the new Microsoft Band fitness tracker/watch products, and I wanted a screen protector for it. When I apply those screen protectors though? I always end up with bubbles… so I decided I’d have an employee at the store do it. Anyway, I get to the store and walk in. I’m immediately approached by a store employee who asks if I need anything, or would like something to drink. I ask about getting a screen protector for my Band and he finds someone right away who can apply it(additionally, in the short period that I’m waiting for him to find someone, another store employee approaches me to ask if I’d like a beverage or anything). I’m taken to the register on the side of the store with the employee who will apply the screen protector. I complete the purchase, which was very quick, and he asks for my Band. It didn’t take really any time at all for him to apply the screen protector, which was great… and no bubbles! All in all, a very positive experience at this store… and the employees were very helpful. I’m not generally a significant consumer of Microsoft products(I have an iPhone, use my iPad, etc), though I have to admit that I’ve been contemplating a Surface Pro, especially to be used while I’m traveling. Either way, having this store accessible will be helpful as I consider future purchases.
