Play the Game, Read the Story is a local comic and game shop with locations in Syracuse and Watertown. This location is in the Destiny USA mall, in the new Canyon side of the mall.
I try to support local comic shops as much as I can over Amazon and the like. PtGRtS is my usual go to. They have two locations, and while the other one is bigger, this one seems more geared towards comics while the other more geared toward RPGs.
Always friendly staff. Informative and knowledgeable as well. I’m a casual comic geek, really only buying when something strikes me as interesting, and the staff here have always been helpful.
They have a good selection of single issues and whole series collections. Prices are typical of most comic shops. Good selection of action figures, and a few clothing and collectible items. They do have a selection of RPGs, but the other location on Clinton definitely has a ton more.
