Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t the point of this place to enjoy a bottle of beer you may have never heard of then be able to go next store and purchase a six pack? Ok so I asked for 3 things on list they didn’t have. What they did have was pretty much anything you could purchase at wegmans. But the ultimate kicker was them not selling six packs of everything that was available in bottle at the bar AND having beer in the store that wasn’t available in bar. Why would I want the burden of trying a great beer at the bar then finding out you don’t sell in the beer store. That makes no sense when the whole concept of this place is built around that. Giving it 3 stars because the inside décor is cool?

Great change to a beer land mark in Syracuse, and filling a void for a beer/bottle shop you commonly see in larger cities, for those who want to get quality beer and enjoy it without the busy bar scene you see at other craft beer establishments. Their offerings are unusual and diverse, with many of the classics on standby. They have some intriguing bar snacks as well. Couple of downsides: currently you can buy singles to take home, but you can only buy in six packs, and there is no discount for take home purchases. Additionally, their bottle list is sheets on a clipboard. It’s typed out and looks great, but is hard to go through, as it is 7 – 9 pages long. I also noticed many beers in the cooler were not on the list. I understand that there is a lot of turnover, so I would suggest doing a daily update page of new offering on the menu boards. Their pricing is consistent for the area, but some stuff did seem high. However, I fully intend to frequent this location in the future and especially look forward to the bottle shop and open garage doors and patio in the summer!

This family-owned store/pub combo that replaced Brilbeck’s in Tipp Hill fills a void in the burgeoning Syracuse craft beer scene. Been here three times and there always seems to be a nice mix of seasonal and favorites on tap(including an 8 oz pour of Old Rasputin for $ 3) and an impressive 2-page, 2-column, 6-pt font bottle menu. The new décor is attractive and practical, complete with a soon-to-be-open walk-in cooler for shoppers and garage doors that open to a stone patio in the warmer months.
