Nice bar with reasonably priced drinks and food. Can get a little crowded at front bar getting a drink sometimes but bartenders are quick to get people served. Friendly atmosphere and a good time.

Got an evening free from children last night(Sunday) and decided on a low-key date at Blarney Stone. Crowded doesn’t feel so crowded now with the addition so we grabbed our Dirty Blonde Pale Ales and quickly found a table. Everybody’s opinion on the Blarney Burger and their wings seem to be either, ‘Best in town!’ or ‘Overrated!’ We ordered both, burger done medium w/cheese and bacon, wings w/medium buffalo sauce, and I lean heavily on the ‘Best in town!’ side for a few reasons. Burger is listed as a half-pounder, which I normally don’t like, but this one is pressed wider than the bun and I had no problem getting a top-to-bottom bite(even w the included toppings of lettuce, tomato, and onion). The bun is soft but grilled, so you get an extra little layer of texture and crispness. Only downside was that it was cooked very medium-well instead of medium. The included french fries were just what you’d hope, a good amount and crispy. Bonus pickle spear was nice. The wings were incredible. I normally order mine extra-crispy but no need to do that here. They were perfectly done and perfectly sauced. The medium buffalo was not just a usual Red Hot and Whirl combination, there was a little sweetness and depth to the sauce that made each bite very delicious. Some people might have an issue with their size but I am not a fan of jumbo wings, so they were perfect. Good ratio of meat to sauce and easy to eat. The part that I love most about our evening was being able to enjoy a hearty meal out with my wife for about $ 20(including the drinks!). Thank you, Blarney Stone!

Good burgers, good wings, good atmosphere at decent prices. Beer’s cold, friendly bartenders and had a good time the 2 times I’ve been there. Remember, cash only, so bring some greenbacks.

I would not call this place a dive exactly, but it is a basic pub with a simple menu and a traditionally separate bar/food ordering process. Huge areas for seating that seem to fill up at popular times(I went on a recent Friday night and seats were hard to find until 8:30 or so). As a Buffalo native, I found the wings($ 7.50) sadly overrated as they were too sweet and a bit chewy. Burger($ 5) was better, though not cooked to med-rare as I asked. My wife, on the other hand, loved the zucchini fries($ 4). The food came up very quickly(10 minutes maybe?) and the prices are budget friendly. Decent craft beers were $ 3.50/pint. I will certainly be back.

The Blarney Stone is a neighborhood bar that was purchased in 1989 by Steve Dorsey and his late sister, Judy Dorsey. Their idea was simple: provide a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere that has a consistent schedule and food offering that was hearty and easily affordable. They believed if you could accomplish both, customers would return. Now I’m not a drinker, but after several«Best of Syracuse» awards, I started taking notice to what most on Tipperary Hill already know… they have pretty good food. As far as I’m concerned, they have THEBEST wings in CNY. They are perfect in every way… size, the way they’re cooked, the buffalo sauce is absolutely delicious. That’s basically what I always went for. But then I kept hearing about the Blarney Burger… how good it was, the value, etc. Finally had to try one and its as good as everyone makes it. Fresh made, well seasoned patty. Great value at only $ 4.50. They spice it up a bit sometimes with different toppings. Fries are good. Everything’s good. It’s a nice bar inside. It’s been remodeled recently. All wood accents and stuff. Typical pub. Good service, very nice bartenders and kitchen staff. They are an all cash bar, so keep that in mind. Parking on the side of the pub, but also a small newer parking lot in back now as well. Plenty of on street parking as well. Even if you don’t drink, you should be coming here for the awesome food.

Great food and drinks at cheap prices. They recently built an addition so there is ample seating to eat and drink. Outdoor seating is nice in the summer but gets packed during peak hours. Avoid weekend or special nights if you don’t like crowds. Cash only but there’s an atm on-site.

If you like burgers, a pub atmosphere, tvs to watch all sporting events, and some great wings. This is a great place. It is cash only but there is an ATM on the premise. During the summer time the patio is a great way to relax and enjoy yourself. Probably the best Friday/Saturday happy hour(free good food) around. Winner of the best burger award in CNY multiple years in a row. It’s a Syracuse must stop. ENJOy!

The Blarney Burger is delicious! Get it! Order it! Love it! Only fault I give this place is that despite being a busy restaurant/pub & more than likely to afford it, they should have a way to accept credit cards.

OK — after close to a year since our last visit, we decided it was time to bring the kids so that they could experience the«Blarney Burger». It happened to be a Thursday(I almost don’t want to tell you why that’s good, for fear that the lines will be longer and seating will be even harder to come by!) which is 35 cent wing day. We did not know this heading there and thankfully got there early enough that the line was short and we found a seat. By the time we left the line was long and seating was scarce. Here’s the run down: CASHONLY! If you are like us and use cards most of the time, remember the cash! You get in line and order your food from a window at the kitchen. Then go sit and wait… and wait… for what seems like a longer time than it really is when you are smelling the wings and burgers! They call your name, you walk up to the kitchen window and pick up your food. Then chow down! I am usually conscious of what I eat but at the Blarney, I take on the«go big or go home» mentality. The burgers are so good. It is definitely not the 95% lean ground beef that I use at home BUT that is why they taste so darn good! The wings(I order extra crispy) are really good too. We like hot and BBQ hot. For a cheap, good pub meal, the Blarney is the spot in Syracuse. After living her 9 years, this has my vote for best bar food.

Fabulous!!! We actually stumbled upon this by accident, at about two in the afternoon just driving through Syracuse. We happen to notice the large amount of cars out in front, and thought that we should probably check this place out. Huge portions, and low prices. Fresh food, very friendly staff, it is cash only though. There is an ATM at the front of the bar, in case you don’t have cash with you. We ordered fried mushrooms, Ruben, onion rings, and the haddock sandwich with fries and apple bread pudding. My sandwich was an ENTIRE fish! Real fish, not pieces. Will be back for sure!

Dive Bar — CASH Only Went to check out what the hype was about. Apparently the burger patties are made fresh, not frozen. Got the burger with everything on it. Cheap, great value for the price. I would go somewhere else for a burger next time however. Get the fries over the onion rings. And if you can get there early enough, get the clams. Apparently those are killer! Order at window, your name will be called overhead. Alcohol is at a separate bar. Also CASHONLY. ATM is inside, remember ATM fees if your bank charges. Great outdoor seating.

Awesome hole in the wall in Tipp hill that has recently doubled in size to accommodate it’s overwhelming popularity. The best place in Syracuse. Hands down. Best burger, best wings. In Syracuse and beyond. And everything is like 5 – 8 dollars. If you want good cheap pub food, come here. And if cuse is playing– there are great wing deals!

My review is strictly about the Blarney Burger. I’m a burger lover, and I say with confidence, so far, this is the best I’ve had in CNY. The burger is grilled to order perfectly, the bun is grilled and flavorful, everything is fresh, and it’s $ 5! I’m a little older than most of the clientele at 43, but I don’t mind a little loudness and drunk younger women watching while me and my buddy enjoy a burger. Highly recommended~!

Came here after a few coworkers recommended that I go and try the burger and that is exactly what I did. It was so fresh, perfectly medium rare, and had a delicious grill taste to it. We also ordered the special poutine which was interestingly topped with pot roast. The onion rings were also so delicious. The food and drinks were both very decently priced and allowed us to order multiple plates and drinks. The only downside was that they do not accept credit card. However, they do have an ATM machine to alleviate your disappointment. The wait was also a little long for food but my suggestion is to grab a drink and a table as you wait!

If you get something besides the Blarney Burger you’re doing it wrong. It’s easily in my top 5 burgers in Syracuse and for the price it’s knocking on the door of the top spot. The beer-battered fries are amazing– I wish I could find more places that made them. Their new addition is beautiful. I’d love to see them revamp the rest of the building to match. The old half has a divey feel to it, but the new half is completely different… I can’t quite describe it but from all the wood, I’m going to go with«Adirondacky». My only complaint is that it’s sometimes hard to hear when your name is called for your order, and when you go to pick it up it’s not 100% obvious which is yours. But recently they upgraded their speakers and they repeat the names generously, so that is definitely improving!

Great food at unbelievable prices! Review #50! And I am proud for it to be Blarney Stone. I have been dying to try this place for ages ever since I heard they were voted #1 for the best burger in Syracuse. My mom and I decided to try this place on an off night, Wednesday, and we were very surprised at how packed the place was! There were many tables and a lot of room, contradictory to the seemingly small exterior yet we still weren’t able to find somewhere to sit. Upon walking in we weren’t sure if we were supposed to seat ourselves or wait for a hostess, we don’t visit bars often, but we saw the food stand to the left and figured out it was a walk up order, grab your food and sit down kind of place. Needless to say, my mom and I didn’t come here to drink, but if we had, it seems like a roomy place that is always hopping. I can only imagine what it’s like on the weekends. I bet it would be fun. Walking up to the counter, we were lucky the wait wasn’t too long. The kitchen was super small with four guys manning it. The one guy taking the orders was pleasant enough to my mom and I but you should have seen how he rolled his eyes at this other woman who asked for mayo to the side of her burger… I ended up ordering a Cheeseburger for $ 5 and an order of Medium Wings for $ 7. It didn’t take very long for our orders to be called over the loud speaker, maybe 10 minutes? In the mean time, we found a table to sit at and went up to the bar to get a couple drinks. When I went up to grab my order the guy forgot about my wings(even though I already paid for it) so he told me he would deliver them to my table in a few minutes. I was happy that they went out of their way to hand deliver them to my table rather then call me up again. It didn’t even bother me that they didn’t come with my burger since I couldn’t eat it all at once anyhow. The burger was amazing. It was juicy, thick and definitely filling; I barely ate any of my wings as a result. I was quite surprised how big the patty was and how great the food was for such a cheap price. The bun was average, but held up to the size and juiciness of the burger perfectly. I did not order fries or onion rings so they served chips with my burger. They weren’t very good and I ended up not even eating them. My mom ordered onion rings with her burger but she wasn’t too crazy about them. They were on the bland side. As for the wings, they were pretty good. They were cooked well, were of average size and had plenty of sauce, but I found that I wasn’t crazy about the sauce itself. It had a sweet flavor to it; not something I want in medium wings. If I was in the mood for this sauce, these wings would have been amazing, but I was craving purely spicy and that was not the case here. Overall, the prices were unbelievable for tasty and satisfying food! I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for cheap good food in a lively atmosphere. Why go to McDonald’s and get a gross Big Mac for $ 5 when you can come here and get a fresh and delicious burger for the same price. The parking can be sort of crappy if you don’t find a spot around the building, but that’s a minor nuisance. I look forward to coming back here, not only for the food, but to enjoy the bar scene with a few friends.

The Blarney Stone is one of the many hidden gems of Tipperary Hill. Many of those gems are pubs. In fact, most of those gems are pubs. Slightly divey, but 100% charming, this establishment has cheap food and good beer(right on target). The Blarney Stone is tucked inside a neighborhood on the hill. Step inside, and you immediately get the sense that it’s a neighborhood bar. The bar room up from is cozy. Further back and up a short flight of stairs are dimlylit tables and chairs. Head all the way to the back and a large window looks into a tiny kitchen, where you can order your burgers, fries, or fish and chips. At the kitchen and the bar alike, the service is friendly and personal. As for the food, it’s as standard pub a fare as you can want. Nothing too fancy, just a juicy burger, served hot(and fast) with plenty of fries. And for the prices(which are pretty cheap), that’s plenty of value. The Blarney Stone is a great lunch spot, and a snug spot to spend your happy hour. Pro tip: they only take cash.

I ended up to give them 5 stars cause their burgers are awesome. it’s tasty patty, good bread and every thing in its right place. i loved it. although they were super busy and we ordered 3 completely different burgers, all of them were cooked and assembled as they were ordered. the fries were really good to. all these good stuff come with a very cheap price. they didn’t have very a diverse selection of beer, but the beer selection was good enough, and again cheap. the only problem that i had there was they don’t accept credit cards, and only cash. atmosphere wasn’t fancy but a very nice place to hang out with friends have couple of beers and an awesome burger.

This place is small, almost always crowded, and no one waits on you at the tables. You order your own food and pick it up at the food counter when it is ready AND you order your own drinks at the bar. If this would inconvenience you then do not come here. With that being said, put on your big-boy pants and stop complaining about what inconveniences you because nobody cares. You have to check this place out. It is unique and awesome! Blarney Stone has some great pub food. The wings and fresh burgers are some the best in Syracuse. This is the perfect place to have a great(and also inexpensive) meal and a few beers with friends and family. I have been coming here for many years and will continue to return.
