This Irish pub is worth to be in. There is no live music and food when I was here on Christmas Eve, not sure if they have on other days. The bar has a good ambience and yes a recommended place!

I was really pleasantly surprised at how good lunch was. I am used to all the fake Italian and Irish stuff that seems to permeate Syracuse so I wasn’t expecting too much. So much for my preconceptions. Coleman’s really did us proud. The bangers and mash with onion gravy was delicious as was the authentic Shepherd’s pie. A starter of very crisp fresh Crab cakes, enough for both of us was accompanied by a really spicy remoulade. Eric, who served us was quick and very pleasant. The only negative for me was the Guinness head didn’t have the staying power until the end. Tasted good though. Well kept and nicely poured. Will definitely go back and try something different.

Very solid place for dinner and drinks and definitely group-friendly. It’s a standard meet-up destination when passing through Syracuse. I usually end up with a burger and have yet to be disappointed. Good prices, good service, good parking, it’s a restaurant trifecta!

Stopped in here for lunch while in the Tipp Hill area. I was really surprised; the food was CHEAP but quite good. If memory serves, I had haddock(which was fresh and cooked properly) for something like $ 10. You really don’t tend to find decent food in a bar like this often, in my experience. The service was excellent. Now, to be clear, it was not Wolfgang’s Steakhouse level of quality. This is a pub so let’s keep it in perspective. All things considered, the balance of quality, price, and service was beyond the normal ratio, hence 4 stars. They also have a large parking lot which is a plus.

I go to Coleman’s whenever I can! Green Beer Day, Trivia Night, you name it! Best trivia in Syracuse, possibly the world, with Brian! Green Beer Day is insane and so well done! Or just any random night to go get a beer and some food. I’ve been here a lot and enjoyed every single time! Parking can be annoying for sure at busy times, you’ll probably end up in the street somewhere. Doesn’t change my review at all though, that doesn’t even matter.

Coleman’s is one of my favorite places to eat around the Syracuse area. The menu isn’t the most expansive, but what’s on it is to die for. I usually get the grilled chicken sandwich or the open race reuben – you can’t go wrong with either. They also have Guinness onion rings that are absolutely delicious. I would also suggest getting a side of the Guinness sauce on your burger or chicken sandwich if you’re not a big ketchup or mayonnaise fan. As for drinks, you have a huge variety of choices – everything from local brews to the more common stuff. You can also get Baileys and coffee if you’re up for that sort of thing. The best part? The prices will fit any budget!

I normally come here for the beer… who doesn’t? I finally went for the food and it was absolutely delicious. I had the bacon wrapped scallops.

Giving 2 stars mostly because of food. If this was solely based on food is give 1 star. Over-priced bland food. I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. It was bland and chewy with 4 little half pieces of corned beef for 13.99. Great place for trivia, drinks and to hangout though. Friendly staff

Can’t imagine a better place to hear West End tales from JJ Harrison and Mike Hutchinson over a beer!

This is the second year we went there for Sunday brunch. Last year Mother’s Day, this year Easter. Both times it was a crowd pleaser. A basic brunch offering(eggs, potatoes, assorted meats) but some nicer foods also. The seafood newbert was excellent. Considering we were feeding six teenagers every one was satisfied.

The food is pretty good, but that’s not The Point. This is a bar smack in the middle of Tip Hill. Every time I go in there, it warms my heart to see the framed picture of FDR that STILL has the place of honor right in the middle of the bar. Ya gotta understand what that means to the American Irish(and to my Polish grandmother who had the same photo framed in her house). It’s the place you go after the Tip Hill Run, the FIRST run of Spring in SYR. It’s the place you go to drink disgusting green beer on St. Patty’s day. It’s the place you go when you just finished a meal at a Mexican resto and your daughter wants to do Irish Car Bombs for dessert. It’s just the place you go. So go.

Walking in to find a beautiful wooden interior was a nice surprise. Did I mention that they have a private lot for parking – and plenty of it. I had the scallop and spaghetti dish. It was delicious! I loved it. The waitress who served us and took our orders was really friendly, too. I liked how there was a bar separate from the dining area. There are also heaters and stained glass interior. I came with two guys who ended up getting a beer tab.

A decent bar at night if you’re into a young crowd and loud music. Also, during the Saint Patrick’s Day season there a lot of fun, kitchy events. But during the day, the food leaves a lot to be desired.

The Guinness beef stew is one of the best meals I have ever eaten. HUGE portion & delicious, for $ 8.99. I would recommend getting that with a side of Irish fries(I did) Atmosphere is old Irish Pub, in an Irish neighborhood… fun place, great food!

I go here solely for their cheese steak sandwich. So. Good. And, really, that’s about it. My friends live within walking distance so I’ve been quite a few times, and it doesn’t really do it for me as a bar. I think the layout makes it feel cramped and it’s usually too loud. Also, we had an issue with a bartender being snotty to my friend about the wine she was ordering, which was just off-putting. Nice pub look to the place though. Really, it’s nothing remarkable. Unless you want a cheese steak sandwich… then, head right on over because it’s delicious.

Well, the décor in Coleman’s is unique and authentic. It’s a hot spot during St. Patrick’s Day and I can see why. The full bar is a good size, the atmosphere is buzzing and don’t forget about their famous green beer! However, the dining experience was a bit disappointing. I ordered a Margarita for a drink and it was almost sickeningly sweet… i could only finish half of it. The meal was OK. I ordered pasta primavera with an alfredo sauce and the sauce was lumpy and not of a smooth consistency. it was also very heavy and I couldn’t even eat half of it. So, I guess if you are looking for a fun hang-out spot at the bar, Coleman’s is the place to go(or so I hear, I have never been there just for the bar)…but the dining experience is somewhat different.
