I love Sonic but seriously: FUCK. THIS. PLACE.
The quality of food, the wait time (morning, afternoon or night), the staff, etc ALL SUCK.
I’ve have never been to a place that just doesn’t give a fuck about what they are doing or how long they take to make your food.
Drive to Binghamton if you want a real Sonic experience. At least then you can drive down the road to the arcade.

Sonic is new to this area and they have seen the business because of the excitement surrounding the opening. Since then, it has slowed down, but their service speed has not sped up. On several occasions I’ve waited an absurd amount of time in the drive thru for a simple order. Disappointing service for «fast» food.

Never use the drive thru. Waited 20 minutes STUCK in a line of not moving cars for a diet limeade only to get a cherry sugar drink. Pulled into the car service to correct my order and STILL waiting. Girl at the window said nothing to us after our wait, just as others have posted.
I could have eaten a whole dinner out by now. It’s a shame — other Sonics i have been to are good (and get tips — not tipping today!)

All the times I’ve been there my order has been screwed up. And they are very very simple orders. I’ve ordered a cheese burger with ketchup only. I don’t know how much simpler that could be. How much of a dipshit can you be. But when I got it, it was packed with everything on it. Or when I ordered something else they only gave half of my shit. Better off just saving your money. Or just go anywhere else but here to eat. And the customer service… you can find more personality in a cemetery. And when I got my food they might as well as just thrown it me. Needless to say I’m never giving those morons my money again. If I could give a half a star I would.

The food is great! Not to mention it’s better quality then McDonald’s, and around the same price for a meal. New York has definitely been missing out on these phenomenal Southern chains.

The food is OK but never use the drive thru. I went to sonic and got in the drive thru. After waiting at the speaker for 3 minutes and never having anyone respond to me or ask me what I wanted I drove up to the window. They refused to take my order and told me I would have to go around back to the speaker. I told them I’m not going to do that and be ignored again and drove away.

Update: awful experience on this visit. The girl at the drive thru offered possibly the worst customer service I’ve experienced in a very long time. Unfriendly, said 0 words to me except what my total was. Not a thank you, not a have a nice day, just handed me our food took my credit card… Didn’t say you’re all set, thanks, nothing. It was as if I had a transaction with an African American android robot.
Upon driving away I realized I’ve been charged $ 0.75 each for the two ice waters I ordered with our food. I find this unacceptable. A few minutes later when my cup holder was filling with water, I had to pull over and dump them both out, as the crappy styrofoam cups were leaking!
I opened the chili dog I ordered only to find out it was smothered in cheese whiz?! I didn’t order cheese on it!
Crappy crappy service, an innaccurate order and leaking $ 0.75 cups of ice water! Thanks, but no thanks.

Welcome to Sonic, central New York. This one is average, unfortunately. I was hoping for better, but for this area, its not bad at all.
Ordering was slow. There were a lot of «ummms» when asked a question, and they seem very scripted otherwise. Just talk to me like I’m a customer, not like you have to get every detail of your script in.
Had my food in 4 minutes. Nice. It was hot and as expected.
This restaurant has an indoor sit-​down area as well, and a drive thru.
Only saw one server on roller skates.
Driving in to the parking lot was a pain. Only entrance is Southbound on South Bay Road, not Route 11, but this may be temporary.
I may be biased, spending years with Sonics in Oklahoma and Texas. This one is almost there.
