I know this place was great 20 years ago, and it is trying it’s hardest to stay there. Salmon and beige, vinyl tablecloths, and the place smelled of stale air freshener. We were seated, waited a few minutes for water, 15 minutes to order, at least 20 minutes for our food, and another 20 minutes after we finished eating for the check. Turns out, someone had called in sick and they had our waitress serving a 15+ person private party in the other room, PLUS2 – 3 tables in the main waiting room. That’s just bad management. Very limited menu — 3 salads, 5 sandwiches, 5 fish fries, and a handful of other entrees. The menu doesn’t detail what comes with everything(sides, salads, etc.) and our server was not very knowledgeable about the options. I ordered the Tuscan Quesadilla and a side salad. I received a honey mustard chicken wrap and fries. It had already been almost an hour since we arrived so I just ate it. The sauce was way too sweet, like McDonalds honey mustard. My parents got the fish(s) they ordered, but the crust was bland and the asparagus was dry and unseasoned. The fries were at least ok. The room was loud the entire time we were there, which was not helped by the band setting up while loudly chatting with each other, and later sound checking, 3 feet from our table. As 8:00(I’m guessing their start time) came closer, right about when it got dark outside, they didn’t turn the dining room lights down — they turned them off! With 4 tables left including one still looking at their menus. The bar was still well lit, though. So yeah… as you can tell not really the best experience all around. We’ve gone to Drumlins plenty of times over the years and they’ve only gotten worse in atmosphere, service, taste, and food quality. I think it’s time to either close down the restaurant or RADICALLY change the theme and staffing(the recent horrible name and logo change don’t count).
