I honestly wish I could give 10 stars. Garrett has been a TREMENDOUS help training my dog. I have a 3yr old German Shepherd Mix named Bella, rescued, who used to be REALLY aggressive and afraid of other dogs. I couldn’t take her to dog parks and even walking her on an everyday basis was extremely stressful for the both of us. So I looked up Alpha Omega and got a hold of Garrett to help me with Bella and holy cow it was probably one of the best decisions I’ve made. Not only was Garrett able to help me physically control my dog but he showed me the proper ways to train her to help her overcome her fear and aggressiveness around other dogs. By the end of training sessions she was a brand new dog! Now I can take her to dog parks and do so many new things with her! I highly recommend training with him if you have an extremely reactive dog like Bella used to be. Thank you so much Garrett!

Garrett is a great trainer. He helped train our Boston pup, but what’s more is he taught us how to train our Boston and interact with him so he could really become a member of our family. I’d definitely recommend him as a trainer.

Great place! Garrett is SUPER knowledgeable and a no nonsense trainer and the dogs he works with you can tell they love to train with him, that’s important in working with dogs. He’s also very patient in listening to exactly what you want and how to help you achieve it with your dog, it’s been a while but we are ready to take a refresher course w Garrett, my dogs loves this guy!

Huge help! I wish I called him sooner. My shepherd mix was extremely aggressive towards other dogs to the point where there couldn’t be one across the street without her reacting to it. We had six sessions and now we are able to bring our dog into the dog park where she can interact with other dogs. Garrett is very knowledgeable about dogs and has a great sense of humor. If anybody is experiencing similar issues I would highly recommend calling Garrett.

Garrett is as amazing as all of these reviews have mentioned! For about a year my Shepherd mix Loki has had issues with being too aggressive towards other dogs and people, especially children. We could not even walk him 5 steps on the waterfront without him growling and ANYBODY that walked by and he has even latched out at dogs and one time a child. On top of that, he pulled on the leash, got over-​excited any time we were about to go out, and had what seemed like separation anxiety any time we left. After that I knew I HAD to find a professional to work with him. I literally searched at least 20 different sites when I found Garrett’s site. His reviews were AMAZING and so of course I was not going to go through anyone else.
We did 5 sessions with Garrett. It was SO helpful. Garret first identified the issue, he let me know why Loki was behaving the way he was, and what we can do to help him to calm down. What I liked about Garrett is that he didn’t just tell me what to do to fix the issue, or have me coax him with a few treats. He gives you insight why we were doing what we were to help Loki. He gives ME the knowledge and training to help my dog. He watches ME react to Loki’s behavior, tells me what to do, when to do it, and makes sure that I know what to do and how to train/​work with my dog every day.
After 5 weeks, Loki was almost a completely different dog. I can now look forward to taking him on walks around lots of people and dogs. I don’t have to worry anymore. Before, any time we took him out it was overwhelming and full of anxiety. Now there is no stress and I know Loki will behave. Not only is he much calmer, but I now have the knowledge and know what to do in case he ever does get over-​excited or if he shows small signs of aggression or fear before they get out of control! I am forever grateful for Garrett and wish I had gotten with him sooner! I promise, you will not regret training your dog with Garrett. There are no words to describe how grateful and relieved we were to finally know how to control Loki’s behavior.

P. S. Garrett also makes these custom collars that work AMAZING! If your dog pulls at the leash or has problems heeling while you walk like both of mine did, this collar is better than anything I have ever used (shock collar, gentle lead, EZ walk, harness). It makes 100% of difference!

My wife and I have a 1 year old German/​Australian Shepherd mix that we didn’t socialize as well as we should of when he was little. He was aggressive towards small people and dogs out of fear. My wife went to training for the 5 weeks I was gone at an Army school and the dog that I came back to is completely different. He is so much more well behaved and I don’t fear for what could happen when we are in public now. Garrett teaches the owners very well which is far more important than bribing the dogs with treats to learn a few tricks. Anyone can pay money and leave a dog with a trainer but this concept is so much better, Garrett gave us the specific knowledge we need to train our dogs for the issues we didn’t know how to address. I highly recommend his program! You’ll grow a lot as a owner. Thank you!

Garrett is amazing. Our Rottie pup was VERY nippy & was showing signs of strong dominance at a very young age. It got to the point where we feared having to get rid of him. We did three sessions with Garrett and it COMPLETELY changed our relationship with our rottweiler. Sherman is now 9 months old and he is our dream dog, sweet compassionate and loving. Every now and then he gets mouthy or tries to challenge us but with the tools Garrett taught us, we are able to be fully in control of our now powerful & growing Rottweiler. We reccomend Garrett 100%!!!

Our three year old pit bull mix, Oreo, was a nervous dog and didn’t listen well. She wouldn’t walk on a leash without pulling me, and at 80 pounds I could not control her. She would have to be drugged when she went to the groomer to have her nails clipped. After one lesson with Garrett we could already see a difference. Today she is a different dog. We can now go for walks at the park without issue (the collar that Garrett sells is a must, it works wonders). We no longer need to drug her before going to the groomers. They cannot believe she is the same dog. Our family would highly recommend Garrett. He taught us just as much as he did our dog.

First session today was amazing. my dog is extremely reactive and agressive on leash with ALL other dogs. in 2.5 years has NEVER walked beside another dog. UNTIL TODAY!!! NO BARKING.PULLING.SPINNING OR JUMPING!!! I am soooo grateful for today. and see the future of Crosby being able to go out in public and be a calm, social dog. Changed our life… can’t wait till next session. Would totally recommend Garret!

Garrett Stevens has been working with our family and our 2 Boston Terriers. He has helped our dogs becoming more trusting as well as less fearful with people who visit us. He has been nothing but fantastic and we saw positive results from the first visit. I would highly recommend Garrett to anyone who is having issues with their pet. Garrett worked with our schedule and was willing to drive to the Olympia area to assist us!

The first time I met Garrett was when my dog got attacked by a dog he was training on the waterfront. As the incident was happening he stood there without intervention, I had to yell at the lady to get her dog. I walked away once broken up and Garrett proceeded to tell me that my crying was going to make my dog aggressive and that the best thing I could do would be to continue on my run. Mind you my dog was dripping blood from his leg and ended up getting 3 staples to his leg, multiple small abrasions to his chest and front of his leg. Neither one of these people apologized or offered help. He has since ignored my efforts to get ahold of him. Animal control was called and given his name and number since the owner left the scene. Garrett recently made a post about how he finds it amusing people giving out free information without knowing your dog. My comment on his post was such then deleted and he has not responded to me since the incident. I have numerous friends who have used him and had to have their dogs retrained. As priding yourself as a dog whisperer and an expert maybe what you preach should be in your practice. As a dog trainer I would expect much more professionalism from such. By far. Not a good person or trainer.
To continue on topic– I have received multiple calls from Garrett telling me how I am not telling the truth and how great he is. Again, yes my dog had minor cuts to his chest and front is his paw, however the one behind his leg required three staples and I had blood all over my hands so much that it made him question if the dog got me. I do not sneak up on people while running with my dog and I always put two people between my dog and any other dog– as I was properly taught. I find it quite sad you have to continue to bash someone and tell them how much of a liar they are and change the story to make yourself look good. Excuse me for not having my phone glued to my side as I work nights and my career isn’t dependent on it. As my first messages state: was to give the owner my name and number, that was never done and I continue to get multiple messages from you. I’m sorry you feel attacked but I’m just stating my side. So you can believe what you will, I’m sure this one bad review won’t make your business shutter and if you are that worried about it maybe you should re evaluate yourself and how you respond to people. I do care about my dog and no he was not jumping around like a happy go lucky boxer, he was laying on the ground because I was crouched down– like he was taught to do. I wish you the best of luck in your business but I am completely done with you and all your phone calls and messages.

Garrett was a huge help with our dog! Charlie had a lot of anxiety about being left and would bark and bark at anyone who came into our house. Charlie is now greeting people wonderfully and his anxiety has gone down a ton. Everyone who was around Charlie before can see a big difference in his demeanor and can tell he is much calmer. Garrett worked with our schedule and helped us a lot with Charlie!

When I brought home an 8 week old Boerboel/​Kangal puppy last year, I really had no idea what I or my family was in for. Having grown up with dogs I thought it would be fine but the «typical» training methods weren’t working. Sure the puppy would sit, and lay down. But she was overly mouthy with my kids, was very dominant, and possessive of her crate. I researched trainers and called Garret. After our first session we started applying his methods and our pup stopped being mouthy in only two days! We continued to do sessions with Garret and WOW… we learned so much about dog behavior and how dogs communicate with each other. Our puppy is over a year old now and as we continue to use our new skills/​knowledge with her, she continues to develop into a calm and respectful part of our pack. When you own a powerful dog that weighs more then you, being able to keep that animal calm is a very high priority. Garret is amazing!!!

Garrett is a fantastic trainer! He has helped our 2 year old dog become less fearful of everything. He has an extremely calm demeanor and our dog immediately responded to him. I would recommend him to anyone.

Have worked with Garrett two times now with Schatzi, a German Shepherd. She’s a handful but I see definite improvement in both of us. Garrett is such a calming influence with a high-​energy, highly-​focused dog. Working on getting Schatzi more socialized to walking within our neighborhood without her scaring everyone with that shepherd barking frenzy. It’s going to take a lot of work on the humans’ part but Garrett has given me the encouragement that I need. Great working with you, Garrett.

I found Garrett through the Pet Brigade on Ft. Lewis. I have a Thai Ridgeback that was a rescue from Thailand. He was in very poor condition when I got him and because of that, I fostered many of his bad behaviors because I felt bad for him.
I was at my wits end because Mako had alot of aggression (which was based on fear). Garrett came over and immediately diagnosed Mako with fear. Garrett has made REMARKABLE progress with Mako in just 3 short visits. I am beyond thankful that I found Garrett and Alpha Omega dog training.
Garrett is so knowledgeable when it comes to understanding and correcting behaviors. I would hire Alpha Omega and Garrett again in a HEARTBEAT and will sing his praises to anyone in the military community AND in my personal life for anyone that has any dog issues they need help with.

Brought home a 8 week old puppy and thought to myself «what did I just do?» She was my first dog and I needed some desperate guidance.
Garrett was a perfect choice! After a few private sessions with him, I began to understand dog behaviors and body language. He makes training relevant and fun, using your dog’s natural instincts. He teaches you how to communicate to dogs and engage them.
In addition to his knowledge, he commands respect (from me and my dog). He exudes this energy that my dog really responds to. Seriously, it’s like a super dog-​engaging force field.
My dog is about 9 months old now and I get complimented on her behavior and credit that to Garrett’s help. (Ok, she’s not perfect ALL the time and is a total spaz, but then again that’s just her personality.)
I’ve done 2 group obedience classes with other trainers. One was great and mainly for young socialization, one was out of location and convienence and a huge regret. She sucked, MAJORLY sucked. Artificial, «textbook» teaching style, and low-​skilled. Garrett is the opposite and I could sing praises for hours on end. He teaches you how to use your dog’s strengths, training both traditionally and with dog whispering. (His traditional methods are far superior to other drones though!!) Both methods are useful for different circumstances. He teaches things you use in real life: my dog is so good at staying out of the kitchen, if her ball rolls into the kitchen, she just sits there staring at it with her nose at the border.
I love my dog and wouldn’t put her in anyone else’s hands.

The best dog trainer in the South Sound. I would highly suggest all dog owners contact Garrett for any help regarding their pets. He has worked with both of my dogs and did a remarkable job. A month ago he also provided training for a dog from the French Bulldog Resuce Network. He did such a great job helping not only the dog gain confidence, but me as well. The dog had resource guarding issues, as well as bad anxiety. Garrett conquered those issues and gave us tips to last a lifetime. I am a more confident dog owner because of him and I can’t thank him enough. HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR ALL DOGS, ANY ISSUE.
