Great family operated joint. Came in here as a group on New Years Eve. The menu is american fare and all of it was very good and well priced! My fiancé and I couldn’t decide between the chicken strips and the veal, so we did what any indecisive couple would do… ordered both and split each in half. Chicken Strip Basket — Chicken was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. The Jo’s were fantastic and hands down the best I have ever had! Veal Dinner — It has been probably 25 years since I have eaten veal, so my knowledge on this matter isn’t the best.(When you are 10 and find out a little baby animal is on your plate, you don’t always look forward to eating it again lol). Anyway, we thought it was cooked well but again, don’t have a lot to compare it to. It came with a side salad, veggies and a potato option for $ 12.95. We went with the hashbrowns, but by the time we ate the salad, veal, chicken strips and jos I was full so I sadly didn’t even touch the veggies or hashbrowns. I bought a slice of pie to go because they had blackberry pie and I am a complete sucker for piping hot blackberry pie on a cold night. The pie was probably the only thing that wasn’t great… don’t get me wrong, pie is kinda like sex, even bad pie is still appetizing… but I’ve had better at LOTS of places, so I removed a star for the lack of enthusiasm about their pie. It seemed to me that there was no actual BERRIES and it was all a blackberry jam substance… tasted like blackberries without the yummy whole blackberries I like to see in my pies. The service was spot on and the waitress did an excellent job keeping us all pleased with our many requests… nobody seemed to be on the same page as to condiments, but she was super nice about it and quick to get everything we needed. Will definitely be back!

Pancake Heaven!!! They see you walking to the door and the table is set and ready with waters when you walk in. The servers remember your name, drink orders and what sauces you like with your meal. They have the BEST chicken and jo’s in town. Ask for extra secret sour cream sauce and honey!!!

Had breakfast. It’s breakfast. Not hard to ruin. The SOS gravy that I got on the side was delicious. Service and was friendly and fast. It’s a diner. The décor reflects that. Regardless it’s good for a weekend gut bomb breakfast. If you need the«hair of dog» this isn’t the place. No alcohol.

This place has been around 1943! You should see the pies. Old school menu-everything fresh and super clean. Our server was delightful. I measure a breakfast by the chicken fried steak! We also had the French Toast. Lots of delicious food and very reasonably priced.

This is an old diner that hasn’t changed much in decades. Today I had some yummy cinnamon French Toast that has super cinnamony swirls that tasted kind of like Cinnabon. The side of bacon was perfectly crisp. And, I love that they gave me my own pot of coffee. One thing that leaves a bad taste in my mouth is seeing«Freedom Toast» and«Freedom Fries» on the menu. How pathetic.

Down home diner classics. Four stars if you’re into old diners, three stars if you’re not. Anglea’s main claim to fame is their fried chicken and jojos. Good. Simple. Old School. I don’t usually see jojos in diners — those huge wedge fries. They’re well done here. You can get the chicken to go. Second: PIE. They have a big rotating case with treats! Great, old school menu with all the diner classics. My mother — who doesn’t like dives — really enjoyed her food here. Anglea’s is a little worn, which doesn’t bother me — but my mom’s pretty fussy… so wow! It’s always busy in here. Tons of regulars haunting the booths and lunch counter. Many waitresses have been here a long time. They are nice and do a great job.

I have been going here ever since I was a little kid. Great food for a great price! My great grandpa who lives in Arizona. He comes up every year and he goes here every day for breakfast. We always take him here for dinner right before he heads back to Arizona. They remember him every year. Try the buster burger! It’s awesome!

My husband grew up with this gem as a family staple. He took me for my first time for lunch on Sunday and I fell in love with its charm. The service was good, and the fried chicken and jo jo”s were just as yummy as he had described them to be. Both of the servers on staff were so polite and sweet and we enjoyed how the kitchen staff would joke around with them when they asked for things. We will definitely be back, and I can’t wait to try their other options for dessert. I had the coconut cream pie and almost finished the whole thing by myself.

Way bad! Food was super greasy, bacon way burnt and his over easy eggs where scary raw! We waited for over 30 min during which a regular walks in and is given toast immediately, good way to gain young fresh new regulars NOT!!! No thanks for the free breakfast next time, I wouldn’t take the risk!

Great prices. Service was nothing to complain or get excited about. Two piece chicken basket was under $ 8. I love a good, cheap, local diner as much as anyone, but this place was just a bit too dingy for me and the food was just a bit too blah. The best thing here were the steak fries(which are apparently called jo-jo’s in WA?).

We where pleasantly surprised here. From the street, this building looks like a truck stop. Inside was a very homey old school diner. Nice family ran restaurant with home cooking type menu. The portions are large. The prices were reasonable. We were treated well and given good service.

To be honest, I’ve been a bit scared to try this diner for the 10 years we’ve lived in the area. Someone even gave me a gift card that I regifted because I didn’t want to go. After going there tonight with my daughter, I’m kicking myself for missing out on that chicken for so long! Heavens to betsy, that fried chicken, it’s so juicy and amazing. Juicy! So Good! The Jo Jos are just as good as everyone says, and the sour cream sauce is tangy and so good with the Jos, but the CHICKEN! I’m sorry, self, for being an idiot. Don’t make the same mistake I made. Go get yourself some chicken and JoJos.

Unimpressive and over priced. The waitress was nice but not enough to be a reason to return. Went in on a Thursday around 1 pm, the place seemed to have a fair amount of customers which I figured indicated good food. Not so. The menu stated homemade food and I was eager to dig in. I ordered the biscuit and gravy with 2 eggs, my mother ordered the asparagus soup and egg salad sandwich. For my tot in tow we got the Mac n cheese with French fries from the kiddlet menu. After a substantial wait, our food arrived. The asparagus soup tasted like it had just been poured right out of the Campbell’s can into a bowl and popped in the microwave. According to my mother, the egg salad sandwich was satisfying but not spectacular, and not worth the wait. Neither my mother or myself could figure out what had taken so long to deliver such mediocrity. When my son’s food came you could still see the impression of the microwave bowl out had been dumped out of. I’m talking Kraft Easy Mac folks, it was pretty disappointing. My order came to our table last. The gravy was super bland and had that same ‘store bought‘ flavor as the soup. The biscuits were pretty good, soft and fluffy at least and the eggs were a perfect over-medium! For the promise of homemade food, it was a seriously underwhelming experience. The total came to $ 27. I gave a two star rating for one star food only because I liked the homey atmosphere and friendly waitstaff.

I eat here all the time and keep coming back for the friendly attentive service and awesome food! Their breakfast is my favorite. Try a huge omelet or scramble. If you like home style food at good prices, this is the perfect one to add to your list.

The car crapped out AT the repair shop. Forty minute walk aheada me. Start trudging. Two seconds in and what’s this place? Angela’s? Must be misspelled. The time was as good as any to go in. Lindsay greeted me at once. Sat me at the counter. Put a menu in front of me. All the times driving past wondering if the name was misspelled. Almost seven years of seeing it and finally here looking thru the menu pretending to order. Looking and looking and looking some more. Hungry, but hesitant. Lindsay chatted me up. She couldn’t have been nicer. Decided finally to order something. Two piece fried chicken with Jo’s. We chatted. About the car, the Hawks, life. Vita Mae, a regular since both of us were born finished up an early dinner and left. Another regular from way back left too. The food came. The Jo’s hot and flaky, the chicken fresh and a biscuit. They have this sour cream sauce. It felt like home, in a way. Sat awhile after eating to give the car a chance to cool down. The car was shot. Cracked head in engine block. The coolant had turned to paste. It would be a miracle if it turned over. It did. Walked as far Anglea’s. Drove that crap Mazda home. The Hawks won.

Service was very friendly. We ordered and were served quickly. I had the chicken fried steak breakfast. loved the breading on the steak. It was delicious and I would say probably the best I’ve tasted so far. Its usually my favorite breakfast to order on any menu. I may have found a new favorite breakfast spot. My husband had the biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy that was on special. Which he said was pretty good as well.

Went here on a Sunday evening because I had been craving fried chicken and this place showed up in my search with decent reviews so I decided to give it a try. They were not busy at all for 6pm, but it was the Sunday after Thanksgiving so I can understand why only a couple other families were there. Since I went there for fried chicken it didn’t take long to decide on the 2-piece chicken and jojos basket with dark meat. The chicken was good but nothing extraordinary(I did have a slight sore throat so that might have affected the flavor). The jojos were good and crispy and the sour cream sauce they served with them was good. The roll it came with was cold and not home-made. Overall, I will try it again if I’m in the area and want fried chicken and jojos.

If you like gossip and self righteous attitudes, eat here. Yum! Food was pale and lacked substance.
