First and last time to this one. 6:30 am visit. Only 2 customers there, besides 1 guy waiting for his to-go order at the bar. Seated, then ignored for 10 – 15 minutes. We both already knew what we wanted — it’s Denny’s, right? The waitress brought one of our meals, and THEN mentioned there were no mushrooms available for the omelet I had ordered. She then went back to get my plate, which took on a walkabout away from our table — even looking over her shoulder, at one point, to see me wondering just where the hell she was going with my food. Cold toast. Tasteless, watery country gravy. Meat forgotten in the omelet. Not a great experience at all.

Stopped in for a midnight snack after the Black Sabbath concert. The dining room was packed with other concert goers, but the wait was short. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, in spite of the customer volume. The food was good. I had a half portion of nachos, which was just the right amount for a late night bite. While not a dining«destination,» I would eat here again.(Although I do not EVER plan on attending any event at the Tacoma Dome again … see next review.)

It is a chain restaurant. It is Denny’s. It is hard to navigate into the parking lot. It is absolutely better at night time. I never come to this location before 11pm. The service is hit and miss during the day. At night I am always taken care of. We have yet to have an issue with our food. 1 friend has to send fries back once. We frequent this place and it is our Denny’s of choice for late night grub.

I may be blinded by the brand new Denny’s that sprung up next to my place in Albuquerque, but damn. This place smelled from the moment we walked in. The floors were dirty behind the counter and the bathroom was in a bit of disarray. You know they say you can judge a restaurant by the cleanliness of its bathrooms. We sat down and ordered being only one of three tables at 3am and ordered. The waitress seemed frazzled, but took our orders. I had the Moon of My Hammy which was a predictable choice. Nothing to say really about the food. Seeing my friends and I had just finished a night shift we were eager to leave and get to bed and it did take a very long while to get our checks and a to go box. When I politely reminded her about 5 minutes later she snapped at me(now down to two tables and a to go order). Unexpected. Although I won’t be returning because of the state of the restaurant or the staff, the food was fine.

I like that it is 24 hours, so you have somewhere to go late at night when you’re hungry and do not want to eat fast food. Sometimes service can be iffy, but the food still tastes good, and they have a good menu. Also, they have great low prices, compared to Shari’s or Ihop.

A lot of people don’t understand that Dennys is not a high class restaurant. They complain about the service as if the server is supposed to give a blow job along with the grand slam. People, Dennys is the defition of average. Average setting, average service and average food, all of which you get within an average time for an average price.

Unlike some others reviews here. I actually had very positive experience here. After worst possible service from denny’s in pacific ave, me and my gf came here. We were greeted right away and seated right away. The server was a mid-aged asian lady. And she was serving the whole restaurant. And there was at least 8 tables she was serving. Ordering was breeze and food was quickly served. She was attentive and kind. Other table had kids and she was very attentive to them too. We left her a generous tip. I would visit here again. If 1 server can serve whole restaurant like here and satisfied everyone’s needs… how come Denny’s In Pacific ave, with 3 servers, not busy what so ever, cant even bring me a spoon? It’s pathetic.

My girlfriend and I stopped here for dinner while back home in Tacoma, I noticed that only one young lady was covering what seemed like both sides of the restaurant. Regardless, she had coffee and water to us in only a few minutes and seemed to appear by magic only a moment after my sweetie and I had decided our choices. Our meals were served quickly and the food was awesome :) The young lady provided great service, was very personable, and made our dinner enjoyable. Even though the interior was a little faded, we had a nice meal and would go back again.

Without a doubt, the worst experience I’ve ever had dining out. I came to Tacoma on a trip through the Northwest and stayed at the hotel next door to this Denny’s. Before slipping out for the night I went over to eat. Standard, nothing to write home about, but I didn’t come to a Denny’s for a premium dining experience. I left for the night full of food and went to bed. End of story right? WRONG. I woke up the next morning and packed up to leave, and my car was gone. It was parked in the shared parking lot between the hotel and the Denny’s. The concierge at the hotel let me know that they never tow, so I went over to the Denny’s, where I had had dinner the night before, to see if I could get my car back. The manager, for one, was gone for 45 minutes in the middle of the breakfast hour, and when she returned she started going off on me about how I had parked in their parking lot, how they tow anyone who’s there in the morning because there’s, quote on quote, «clubs nearby», and that I, their dear customer from the night before, was on my own with my vehicle. Never mind the fact that my car had been parked in their lot for a total of 7 hours ironically enough directly underneath the sign for the hotel. A taxi ride, 3 hours worth of jumping through weekend towing loopholes, and $ 400 later, I know never to go to a Denny’s again, to recommend against going to them at all costs, and to always, and I mean always, find out where the legitimate parking is when staying at a hotel. TLDR: Ate at a Denny’s, got my car towed by a harpie of a manager, paid the rest of my travel money to get my car back, will always eat Taco Bell when travelling.

I haven’t been to a Denny’s since about 1994, but our dining options were limited on this layover. The server worked really hard. The food came out quickly. The nachos tasted good as an appetizer. They forgot to bring my soup. The chicken fried steak left a lot to be desired. Cleanliness…meh…not dirty, not clean though either. Menus were sticky. I doubt I’ll ever go back, but it wasn’t terrible either.

If I could give negative stars I would!!! So we went after clubbing in Seattle, by the time we got here the big rush should of been gone. While from the looks it seems they never had one had a big rush in account that most of there parking lot were blocked off. So it took us 10 min to find a parking. Once inside we find that they have one whole side empty and the other side has about 4 – 5 tables with about 5 people each all eating or getting they’re orders taken. So you would thing we would be seated right away. Wrong we waited 10 min watched as another party of 4 came in and was seated before us. Then they asked is for how Many and when we said 6 she told us it would be another 5 – 10 min wait. Once we were finally seated by the manager she told us «we are very busy tonight so if you wouldn’t mind being patient. We will be with you in a few mins» we said okay but were shocked that they said they were busy! Yes you have some good size tables but it’s a Saturday night After the club with a Rave finishing in town. You would think they would of planed to have more staff for the rush… although it looks like ppl didn’t care to come here. We had to wait 20 min and NOONE came to our table we watched as they checked on there other tables and got drinks started but not ours! Finally we got up and said something! I was pissed it is not that busy and the least you can so is get the waters and say sorry it’s going to be a bit longer but no nothing. Then when the manage comes she says sorry about the wait I’ll get your waters in a little bit if you can be a little patient as I mentioned earlier that we are busy and that just set me off! We’ve already been waiting we just want some waters! And we shouldn’t have to continue to Wait just to order! If you say a few mins take a few min not 20+ fucking min!!! When she finally does come with our waters we had all lost our appetites and just got some coffees and shakes. The coffees tasted like they were brewed 3 days ago she took 5 More min after making the horrible coffee to bring the shakes they were really just some expensive chocolate and strawberry milk! So we just leave!!! But were still paid! While waiting in a ridicule line because the waiter didn’t listen to the party that they wanted separated checks was now going through and doing each one! The manager was taking some food and saw our table empty turned around real quick pit the food down and said that bitch left with out paying. Rushed to the door almost ran into me didn’t wasn’t going to say excuse me say it was me and just turned around and took out the food. So after waiting for 5 min just to check out we just pulled our cash together and left it one the table. Even though we should of just left! Never had such horrible service! Gone to plenty of Denny’s that have been busy and it would be doing the morning and after the club and never been treated this bad! Never ever going to this one again! I will drive further to go to a better one or just go to they IHOP down the street!

it took over half an hour to get her food let alone the wait to sir down with open tables we could see from the front and the food was terrible my french toast breakfast came on two separate place to my bacon was horrendous. my mother got a lumberjack slam that had bacon on it and she had to normal full-size strips of bacon and mine look like their bottom of the barrel it was a little ridiculous.

This Denny’s is terrible!!! I love most Denny’s but this one had deplorable hygiene, bathrooms were disgusting, had to ask for clean menus, the wall. Behind us was fairly dirty, dust everywhere, and our cups were consistently dirty and we stopped asking for new ones… My nachos which I asked for with out pico came with pico and I had to return it, then it came back 10 mins later and halfway through it I found I was eating some green white goo… Discussing!!! My husband was only ok with his pancakes and bacon whereas any Denny’s usually completely satisfies him! Never again will we visit this Denny’s and I’m so glad we didn’t bring our kids here!

There’s a Family Guy episode after the destruction of civilization where Chris says«let’s build two Denny’s so we can say let’s go to the ‘better one’ not the bad one.» well in my opinion this is the bad one. Ordered breakfast and the garbage can and dogs actually ended up eating 90% of the food. Pancakes as dry as Dr. Phil is fake, sausage was so burnt and completely destroyed I actually felt sorry for their sacrifice, hash browns were stuck together like Jinga game pieces and eggs taste like something I would have made… when I was 3. I know Denny’s is better known for late night crowd or people who quite frankly just give up on finding a good place on the cheap but this is a new low. On top of that they messed up the order. It was so bad I finally did one of those surveys rating them and for some reason got a call which was pointless since no resolution was made outside of «we’ll send the location a note». Yeah I just wasted $ 25 on breakfast and feel so much better that they will get a «note». It’s fine since what they going to do… threaten me by offering me a free meal… no thanks! Overall, I never will eat at this place again. I know people have a off day however when you order THREE breakfast meals and all three come back messed up and taste like something you find in a Doomsday Bunker you loose my business. The good news out of this is my dogs loved it! Bad news… my dogs still refuse to pay me for the meal.

After our really bad experiance, I received a call from the manager, and I was blown away at how understanding and caring he was. He asked me to come in again, and give them another try. The whole entire experiance was so much better; 100% better. The food was was really good, they were on top of everything. I know that they were taking really good care of us because we had complained, and I’m going to go back sometime to see if we are still treated so good on a normal day, and visit. I wish that I could remember our servers name, because she was awesome! I have a lot more faith in this location, and it felt good to be heard, and listened to, and to feel like a valued customer, I’m glad that they cared, and took good care of us. We will be back…
