BevMo!

I’m for responsible employees; employees both proud and empowered. In laymen phrases: when one is proud they get pissed when drunk then act; when empowered some get like question the action or thought before acting, because there is knowledge in them brains. That’s when managers must learn the difference between transformation or transaction. Man, I pray you get this argument. When I read the Big Book, one man asked, ‘why are you normal, and I am not?’ Not a bad question, and it went something like that. Belligerency sucks, be a gentleman or a lady when drinking. I didn’t like the organization’s questionnaire, but it is necessary. I made commercials as a kid — I ‘kid’ you not — to promote family and community in a state where men got drunk, then got pisted-​offed-​ness, and took it out on their loved ones (California, Hispanics and Mexicanos; which got pisto-​offed-​ness). That’s really a word. I’m getting it; although it made me pisted-​offed-​ness taking the exam, it made me wonder why. I give this spider-​monkey — after all those laws — a 2 star, because it brought back memories lady, you know. Maybe I had to many good times over bad times. Have a beer and relax, and get lushy like with the loved ones. Just not rough (even that happens — when I feel no pain I can play for the farm again). To military bar fights, not. I had the tip of my ear beaten off. Lets change it. I love my muse when I’m drunk, I’ll cook, clean, and make love at the same time. I rate them a two, only because the psyche test was difficult, and I assisted to write them in college. Also screw the memories.
Months and Members Later
Maybe I’ve decided to change my mind along this path after it forked — what does it matter its all the same tongue — only to jump off that pirates plank into a ‘bed of roses’. It was a snake in the grass and oceans — a river solament pa decire ‘gracias’. Stay wet the man said instead. Maybe I’d change my mind after a swim through what Christ turned to wine. Lets dine, I’m thinking that would be fine. We’ll call it stars and no more cars or scars just for a minute, and the ‘sound of silence’. There’s a buzz somewhere ’cause we hear and see. We feel. Must I prove that lady and gentleman.

I went in for some tequila, that is all. I’m not a pet person by far because I grew up not able to have them because of my allergies. So I don’t get amused when a strangers dog jumps on me. On top of that I’m exhausted. It sniffed once. Fine then followed me. Hhmmpph. The owner called it then it followed me again sniffing me. It jumped on me twice. Not interested. I would hope that’s not normal practice to have someone’s pet running around the store to customers. I didn’t even care to use my discount because I just wanted to get out smdh. Idc if he or she doesn’t bite. Period. Not every customer wants a pet on them. I went there for likka.

I know this place has been around for a while now but since we can purchase liquor at our local grocery store, I end up taking advantage of the convience so this is my first time in to BevMo.
I had a specific beer I was looking for since I couldn’t find it at the grocery and decided to try BevMo, walking in, I was promptly greeted as I wandered to the back area that had several large shelves of beer and well I was overwhelmed! Everything was labeled at the end of the aisle but I was in beer heaven and after walking up and down and grabbing a few selections that caught my eye, a friendly worker asked if I needed help and YES please!
I loved they the were super helpful and friendly and when I asked for a recommendation the reply was sincere and personal so I went with it and was not disappointed! I enrolled in the rewards program and saved $ 5 off my purchase and got another coupon for my next visit and whole lot more via email. I will be back!

If you’re in the area and looking for a good liquor selection this is a good place. If you are anywhere near a Total Wine and More, go there instead. Total Wine has a massive and much better selection. The prices here seem to be pretty competitive and they have a member club which offers email and discounts which is nice. There’s nothing inherently wrong with this place except they don’t have the real estate and selection that Total Wine does.

Pricey but fantastic. Great personal service. We were planning my daughter’s wedding and the manager went out of his way to make sure we got what we needed with the least amount of stress. It’s nice to know that customer service still exists.

Really happy with Bevmo! Not only was the customer service on point, but also the prices! My cashier was extremely friendly, so friendly that I WANTED to sign up for a membership card lol! Yes I wanted to! Also, the price was very similar to Costco! Bought a huge bottle of Sky for $ 30!

Can’t really speak to the products offered or the comparative pricing because I was so turned off by the unprofessional and demeaning behavior of the manager toward his employees and a guy (vendor? distributor? manufacturer?) who was trying to drop off some product beyond their receiving hours, that I just can’t in good conscience patronize this place. As a caterer, it’s disappointing not to have this option, but other vendors are not far.
I’m sure that many managers of stores like this are a**holes to their employees and others, but to do so RIGHT IN FRONT OF CUSTOMERS sort-​of calls into question the sanity of the individual and the integrity of the business in general for employing a jerk like this. I see that other reviewers have had a bad experience with the manager, and I’m not sure if it’s the same guy, but if so, he should find a line of work where he’s not «above» others, because he is clearly the kind of personality that gets off on making others feel terrible.
I was waiting at customer service to ask a question, and a guy came in to ask if there was a chance he could drop off an order of something even though he knew he was late. Instead of just telling the guy (who was apologetic, and very professional) that, no, they won’t receive after certain hours, he proceeded to lay into him with such demeaning language that you’d think the guy was a dog. If this wasn’t bad enough, as soon as the guy left the store (clearly bruised), the manager proceeded to yell across the store at an employee who had allowed the vendor to get as far with his question as he had. The dynamic between him and his employees was visibly uncomfortable.
I try to have compassion for jerks like this (dude’s having trouble at home?), but when I see them beating up their employees, I have no tolerance.

Went in for one bottle of wine and was shown a couple local selections. Going to roll the dice on what the employee said, but should be good
Then went to get beer and a growler, and had another employee help me out. Both were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful

I came in and asked the employee where their Muscat was located at, she attempted to correct me, «You mean Moscato», «sure» I said being polite, while in my head, I’m thinking «Moscato is the Italian name for Muscat, but whatever» (and FYI, I bought both a bottle that said Moscato, and Muscat on them).
The young lady took me right to it, which was nice; I had specific wines in mind that I wanted, and of course, they had NONE of them. This is the point when a Male employee came over to assist me, and I asked him if he had any Moscato that was made with peach, or even pear, because my favorite Moscato is Villa Rosa Moscato d’asti; made with peach, and apricot. He said no, that he had no Moscato’s made with peach, but they had some sparkling peach, and green apple wine that he could show me, in which I declined. I started to read the labels to see if he may have missed, or been unaware of one, and guess what, I’d say that a large portion of their Moscato’s had… Ding, ding, ding, you guessed it, PEACH in them.
I love wine, I know basics of wine, but not a whole lot, and I was shocked at how little the employee’s knew, and how they didn’t carry a single wine that I was looking for.
The prices were so so, some good, some not so good, so just like any other store, just keep an eye out for specials.
I would highly suggest that they teach their employee’s something new about wine every week, or even give incentive to those who study about products they carry on their off time, maybe even have weekly scavenger hunts that just lists the descriptions of some products, and whoever can name the most products off of the description wins and gets something, even their names put into a drawling, just something, because they REALLY need to be more knowledgeable of their products. I’m not going to buy a car from a baker, so why would I want to buy wine from someone who knows nothing about what their talking about?
They seem to have a decent variety of wines, so I’ll be back, hope I have better luck finding items that I’m after next time.

Went to get some singles. was told they only are sold in 6 packs, Im like no thanks, I dont want to buy a 6 pack of beer and its crap! (I like trying different beers) so ended up getting nothing here, and at this point I doubt I will be back!
The customer service here SUCKS! And they have lost a customer for good!

OK — I’m updating my previous review here… I needed some wine for Thanksgiving, and found an excellent price on a particular chardonnay at Total Wine & More. BevMo! is closer to me, so I called the local store and asked «Do you match competitor’s prices?» and was told «Yes.» Great — I hung up, drove down, and filled my cart with wine. Getting to the check-​out, I pulled the Total WIne & More price on one of my wines and asked them to match, and was told «Sorry, they’re more than 10 miles away — we won’t match Total Wine’s price.» To clarify, Total Wine & More is in fact 18 miles away — I walked out at that point leaving about $ 150 worth of wine on their counter.
Great job, jack-​wagons! Not only did you lose a $ 150 sale last week, but you’ve lost all of my future business! I won’t be spending another dime at BevMo! moving forward, and I do spend a decent number of dimes on wine!

Horrible service. Their store policies are absolutely absurd and they refused to sell me alcohol for 24 hours because my fiancé did not have her ID when I the guy who was paying and had his id went to purchase alcohol. I dropped her off at home, came back and they still refused to sell it to me claiming they had to wait 24 hours prior to selling to me. BUT, the customer ahead of me, gentleman who looked like he was in his 20’s… Never carded him, no ID asked for what so ever. Their prices aren’t competitive and this experience finally put the last nail in the coffin.

Better than most options in the area and I like this BevMo over many others we have visited. Great service, easy to find items, and they have many more tastings than other similar places.
Good beer selection, growlers, large cold area if you are opening something that evening, and they are always willing to order something. They also always have Becherovka, which I cant find anywhere else.

A warehouse full of booze, what could be better?! Prices are decent (except, of course, the Washington sin taxes), and the selection is amazing. We have a few brands we really like that aren’t widely available, and they carry them all here. They also have a really decent selection of non-​liquor products like mixers, snacks, and sodas (including my favorite brand which I haven’t found anywhere else). Fighting to get to them is a bit tricky with the Costco across the street and an awkward parking lot, but it’s worth it.
As an added bonus, they have one of the best selections of locally-​made liquors I’ve seen anywhere.

BevMo! is an awesome store and one of the best perks of the new law. They have pretty much every type of alcohol your heart could desire. And they’re all at a great price. BevMo also has a great members club. It’s free and easy to sign up and you get a discount on most items and once you reach $ 250 in purchases, you get a 5% off coupon. It’s silly not to have a card and they can look you up by phone number after a few weeks. BevMo also has a great selection of non-​alcoholic drinks, growler fills, snacks, and specialty glasses and items to make your favorite drinks.
The location is not ideal for parking or for getting in or out of the small parking lot. The staff are always friendly and will open up a new lane when a line forms.

It’s still a little strange for me to be able to buy liquor in grocery stores and to not have to go to stand alone, state run liquor stores for booze. I had seen Bevmo in Arizona when I went to Phoenix on a family trip, but had never wandered in until this past weekend.
Pros:
Big selection of wine, decent to big selection of beer (I didn’t really look too hard), growler room that I didn’t look at, but apparently you can fill your own growler. Nice selection of mixers (including a nice area of different tonic waters other than Schweppes), sodas, cheeses, and other various little snacks that you can pick up for parties/​own personal consumption. Staff was friendly.
Cons*:
This particular store didn’t really have the variety of liquor I was hoping to see– mostly big name stuff, such as Absolut, Hendricks, various Monarch liquors, Jim Beam, and so on and so forth. The only local (liquor) distilling company I saw was Dry Fly Gin– a bit disappointing. The prices arent really any cheaper than grocery stores, either, but it is nice to be able to browse the really big selection of minis they carry.
BevMo locations in Washington are kind of out of the way for me, but they’re certainly a place to check out if you find yourself near one.
*The BevMo website is really nice in that, if you’re looking for a certain kind of liquor/​wine/​beer, you can search for it and narrow your location to the BevMo that is most convenient for you. You can also order online, and I believe they’ll also ship it to the store nearest you as well.

We were so excited to see this new business pop up in Tacoma.
We moseyed in the first week and took some time to really browse all the things they had to offer. And they have so much! They have a fully stocked liquor area, with more stock to come, they have a very large beer area, and taps to fill your growlers with. They have a pretty awesome wine selection, as well as glass wear to accompany your drinks.
And to top it all off they have a snack section, with everything a drinkers heart desires! Cheese, meets, dips, candy, crackers, salsa, ect ect.
Bevmo is my new fave spot.
Missing star? The discount program is LAME

Finally we have a Bevmo in washington and it is very similar to the Bevmos in Calif with the exception of our wonderful state taxing. I guess we have to take this in steps and maybe reducing the taxes on this will happen sometime.
I like the growler selection as well as the large selection of liquor. The prices before taxes are are close to california’s and compare with Costco’s.
Hoping to see more open a little closer to me.

I’ve missed BevMo from my California living days. I can’t say this BevMo is as good as the ones I used to frequent, but I like that they’re here. I picked up a bottle of Single Malt and a few really nice beers. And in a plus for WA over CA, we don’t have the silly law that growlers can only be filled with the product painted on the label. So BevMo here has taps and you can fill your own.
They have a pretty standardized and massive inventory in all their stores. So one of the flaws in Washington’s beer/​liquor/​wine regulations is that every label/​product needs to be licensed and getting that license requires someone to pay the fee. BevMo, based on their typical inventory, is the kind of place that will get 50 new Scotch selections and hundreds new beer labels approved. And that will trickle down to much better selection for all stores.
There’s nothing like them currently in Washington. They have more Grappa choices than WA has ever seen where if you could find three in a state liquor store it was a minor miracle. They have a great beer selection which will probably get better over time (and allow your local Full Throttle or 99 Bottles type place carry items that they couldn’t pay the fee to get approved in the state on their own.)
