Dollar Tree

I only buy a few specific items at Dollar Trees. This is the only store I visit in Tacoma because it seems to be more professionally operated in contrast to the ones on Pacific Hwy and 6^th Av. I consider those 2 the quintessential manifestations of how geto Tacoma really is. Call me spoiled but I’ve never been rich and most of my life lived on shoestring budgets, only in nicer areas where people can spell words and talk pleasantly.
This store is like an oasis of semi-​organised neatness in the crass mediocrity of Tacoma’s retail sector. Cashiers here work promptly. I haven’t had a bad experience with cashiers here nor seen huge slow lines like at the other two.
Products I recommend: Calder’s mayonnaise, Silver State pepperjack cheese, Colgate ADA-​approved toothpaste, Ajax dishwashing liquid.
Skip the Home Store aerosol glass cleaner in blue containers imported China. I’ve had a couple with bad valves that would not shut off and next thing I see is entire kitchen counter is buried in foam. Chinese toothbrushes are a joke — I’d never try one. 1 star off is just for abundance of chinese junk that nobody sane would buy.

1 star for the rude encounter with staff at the cashier. Won’t be going back, I’d rather make the extra drive to the dollar tree on pacific or in steilacoom :/
Simply needed one thing from the counter and was shut down.
Another star because it used to be my go to place but isn’t in stock as often as they used to be.

Pretty much like any other dollar tree but the selection is more spread out and more to choose from. My girlfriend and I love to shop the deals everywhere else and we usually end up going in there for one thing and end up buying everything. Haha :)

This is the only Dollar Tree that I will venture into and only for the basic things that I need quickly and cheap, i.e. gift bags and tissue and candy for stuffings in gifts.
I may also venture done the aisle that has air freshener and hand soap and they carry these in names brands as well.
If you save a dollar or more why not? Not all items in the Dollar Tree are cheaply made things.

I’ve been to a handful of Dollar Tree stores and this one is the best. Great selection of everything (decorations, cleaning supplies, snack items, etc), conveniently located by the Tacoma Mall, and easy access to parking. Wish I still lived right by it.
