We visited from Los Angeles, Ca. We went the day before the US soccer game and they were packed as the AO pre party was held there. Coming from LA we’re used to our food being out quick. Long story short the wait did not disappoint. My taste buds experienced new pleasing tastes. We had the Deviled eggs, the brined smoked wings, and their soft pretzel for appetizer. We all loved the appetizers. Not your usual appetizers, not what my taste buds were expecting, but much better. Out of the three appetizers I would say the deviled eggs were the best and the pretzels’s dip was sooo good. For entrée I had their pulled pork sandwich and their tater tots. In LA I’ve had puller pork bathed in sweet bbq sauce, this sandwich was so full of flavor that it did not need to be bathed in sauce. The meat was so tender and juicy and the flavor was very distinct. Once again, did not disappoint. Their tater tots weren’t greasy, just crisp enough. I wasn’t too fond of them but that’s bc I’m not a fan or tater tots, period. My husband had the shepherd’s pie. He had never had it anywhere so we don’t have any comparison but he said it was really good. Being that it was a busy night the beer we ordered was out but we had something descent . The service was excellent, our server Danny made sure we were satisfied with their service. We don’t know when we’ll be back, but this place is definitely a place to visit. Highly recommend. It will not disappoint

Great quick lunch spot. Had the blueberry almond salad. Was phenomenal! Another in my party had Mac n cheese and that was good too. Have been here for drinks before and the staff is always friendly. Great spot!

Visiting from San Diego, staff seems overwhelmed and rude. Appeared uneducated about their food and drink… then Danny noticed that we weren’t happy and seemed to rally the staff and the service picked up. The food had inaccurate description but the kitchen didn’t disappoint. Little pricy but delicious. In the end great place to watch soccer. Bravo!

Been here just twice over the past few years, but plan to go back more often after a recent visit now that I’ve tried some of the food they offer here. Had the Chicken with Kerry cheese over root vegetables, and wow, was it special. Not your typical greasy American pub fare served here, but good quality eating at a really nice price. Next time we’re trying the shepherd’s pie. The Scotch Eggs were pretty mediocre compared to others I’ve had, but they aren’t bad. I just miss the breading they don’t put on and I like Scotch Eggs where the yoke is still a bit runny. They also serve with what seems to be a steak sauce, where I prefer the typical mustard mayo. They have a couple beer specials during happy hour and serve the import beer in the brands glasses, so if you order European, you get the larger amount of beer for your buck :-) The atmosphere is very pleasant. Nice lighting, some old brick walls, dark wood, a few tvs quietly playing soccer/rugby matches. They have their own lot if street parking is a bitch, but it is pretty tight to get out of.

Whatever you do, make sure to get the pot stickers. They are awesome and exactly what I crave when I am drinking. These aren’t you’re typical Asian style bites; they are made with dough, not a wonton wrapper, and are filled with delicious corned beef. I also recommend the scotch eggs if your in the mood for something to grease your stomach. Do be sure to dip them in maple syrup, you won’t be disappointed. Best time to order is happy hour of course. I’ve always found the staff friendly, attentive, and they pour a decent drink. In the handful of times I’ve visited I’ve ended up walking away with free pint glasses twice from promotions which I never seem to catch anywhere else. Sure, free loot isn’t essential for a night out, but a nice unexpected bonus.

First day I moved to Tacoma I stopped here at Doyle’s Public House and couldn’t have started a better journey in this city. Had some of the best nachos I’ve ever had and got to wash it down with some amazing Washington beer. The service was a little slow, but I can’t blame them with such a packed crowd. It’s definitely worth the time to stop in and grab a bite or a drink if you are hungry or are just trying to catch the game.

Doyles lol, I don’t knoe what to say… The best time to show up is during happy hour, considering how terrible the food was, and my tomato soup was not steamy hot. it was cold, barley luke warm, and the cook used microwave smh. I paid full price for microwave hospital food. yuck, u gotta be very drunk to even consider the food good. 5 stars lol yea right. The service was great, the female seem more Into her job than the dude was… Overall, 1 star is what they got from me.

Stopped here for dinner the other night. It definitely felt like an Irish bar. There were plenty of typical Irish beers on tap like Guinness and Kilkenny. For dinner I had the corned beef sandwich. It sounded really good with Apple onion relish. However, it didn’t really deliver. The sandwich was dry. The corned beef itself wasn’t dry but the sandwich just didn’t have enough of the Apple onion relish or the horseradish so it was just bread and meat. Service was fine. It just took our waitress like 20 minutes to take our card so we could pay. We actually had to take the bill up so we could pay since she forgot about us. Overall, it was ok. I will probably give it another try sometime though.

What has been a local hangout and gig spot for me since first moving to Tacoma, I will always be a loyal fan of this place. I don’t eat meat very often, but when I do, it’s because their comfort food is deliciously enticing here. Throughout the times I’ve been here, I’ve had the scotch eggs, the HEAVENLY German pretzel bites, the hummus platter, the tomato bisque with grilled cheese(yes, my stomach paid for it later, but it was worth it), the Cobb, Caesar, and spinach salads, the Reuben, the Dip, the black bean burger, the corned beef & cabbage, the Guinness pie, AND the chicken pot pie. I’ve also had a few desserts here, which were supplied by Corina’s bakery. They have a fair selection of wines, beers on tap, and are able to make some really lovely cocktails as well. From a musician’s standpoint, the sound in here is great, whether you’re on the playing end or the receiving end. I love doing and watching shows here. I do wish they had a designated area for the soundboard, versus having to makeshift it every time, but that’s okay. This place wasn’t meant to be a concert venue, but it’s a pretty good place for live music anyhow.

We’re new to the area and stumbled upon Doyle’s one Sunday while looking for lunch. We’ve been back two more times within a month and we just love it. We’ve had the Reuben, the Cuban, Doyle’s dip, tots, the pretzel with beer mustard, and the potstickers, as well as the breakfast sandwich and French toast. Everything was extremely good! Nice big portions, great prices, good beer selection, friendly and attentive staff, and soccer’s always on. We love Doyle’s!

Went on date night with my boyfriend last night and used Unilocal to find a location open late on a Sunday. The location is very inviting and we really liked the décor. The bartender was extremely friendly and did a great job ensuring everyone had what they needed. I had the Shepherd’s Pie and he had the Bangers and Mash. As well as the Bite Sampler. Our drinks were on the stronger side but no complaints here. :) The food was good and I’m looking forward to returning to try other menu items. Read posters of their upcoming Wednesday night Back to school movie nights in September and it really seemed like a fun night to check them out again.

I stopped in for a quick bite and had the«Dubliner Brown,» which is an open-faced sandwich with turkey, bacon and tomato on sourdough served with Guinness gravy and Dubliner cheese. It was good, but maybe a little too heavy for lunch(at least for me). This place has a nice neighborhood pub feel to it, and there were a lot of soccer fans watching a match on the big screen. I’m a fan and will definitely go back.

What a fun bar. We went on a theme movie night. Lol worst movie playing likely accounted for it not being busy, «Throw Mama From a Train». The food offerings were also theme with rotating IPAs & special menu items. It’s not often I like over half the items on a menu, so it was difficult to decide what I wanted to eat. It was 11PM, so we enjoyed happy hour prices. We got $ 4 grilled cheese sandwiches & creamy tomato bisque, a salad & some sort of Irish dumplings. It was all delicious & filling. The bartender was on point. She cleared our dishes when we were done eating, filled our glasses when they needed it & was the perfect amount of attentive & knowledgeable about her menu. Wish I lived closer, I’d be a regular.

The best! You will not find another pub with the kind of character mix as you do here. It can get a little busy on Friday and Saturdays with some cats that like to carry their voices; however, if you wanted a bar that is as close to Cheers as possible, this is it. I’ve been a patron since its genesis and still complain when a friend wants to meet up at another drinking fountain. Needless to say, I always end up finishing at my home, DPH.

I ate here last Friday with my boyfriend. I had the Ruben and he had the Cuban with a Cesar salad and clam chowder. Both sandwiches were soooo yummy and fresh and the soup and salad were great too! We each managed to finish half of our sandwiches and then brought the rest home and ate it happily the next day :) The tatter tots are bomb too. Definitely a must. I had two red bull vodkas with my meal and was quite tipsy. They definitely don’t skimp on the booze here. Boyfriend had an iced tea. All that food and drinks for like $ 40. Gotta love it! Also our server was so wonderful. She was attentive and smiley and had a great attitude. There was an elderly lady sitting next to us and she was so patient with her and came back to her table about four or five times to help her understand the menu and make sure she was choosing a meal and a beverage that she would like. I wish I had caught her name! But she seemed to be taking care of all the guest and doing a great job at 6 on a Friday night. I was surprised it wasn’t more crowded though. I guess this place attracts a later crowd. I went here once a couple months ago around 9 and could barely find a place to stand so I left. Great for a quiet dinner though!

Visited this bar due to knowledge of it being a soccer pub. Although there were no games to watch at the time, the soccer/futbol-ness of it still showed through. Scarfs covering the walls and ceilings, posters in the hall, and the most remarkable part of all — up to date premier league table in a huge chart on the wall. Hope to be back when I can catch a game on TV.
