I made a special trip to check this restaurant out. I love supporting small businesses and want to see them thrive. I visited this establishment on a Saturday during the time most restaurants get their lunch rush. It seemed a bit peculiar that the place was empty, but I gave it a shot anyway. I ordered crawfish, mild. Then another patron walked in and took a seat. Quickly the food arrived, spicy. A «4» at most Thai restaurants. I finished my meal anyway and went to wash my hands in the restroom. I was simply amazed in there. Every corner had dirt in it. The door was filthy with hand smears that hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. There was dirt in every corner and on the counter-top as well. We’re not talking about a little dirt, it was enough to make me gag. I could hardly believe that I just ate food from there. With a restroom in that condition I could only imagine what the kitchen was like. I mentioned to the lady at the front, my server, that because of the lack of cleanliness I wouldn’t eat there again. The server told me that they have a lady come in and clean each day, but apparently she doesn’t clean dirt, or corners. I wondered why the able-bodied workers weren’t exceedingly interested in creating a clean work environment that guests would want to return to. Everyone working in the restaurant was either on their electronic devices or watching the huge TV in the dining area. In addition, R&B music was playing so loud through the restaurant that I wanted to get up and dance instead of gnawing on my bowl of crawfish. For a meal that was not inexpensive, or awesome, the ambience needs to at least be comfortable. Between the loud music and TV I could hardly concentrate on eating. Dissapointedly, I can only give this establishment 2 stars, eventhough the sauce wasn’t mild, it was tasty.

This was the worse crawfish I’ve ever had in my life. The sauce had too much sugar and was way too sweet. The crawfish, shrimp and crab legs were all over cooked to the point that the crawfish tasted like a sponge(and did not tasted fresh nor juicy) and the skin on the shrimp was stuck to the shrimp itself and made it impossible to peel. Considering we paid $ 100 for our bill, we expected quality but this was far from it. I will not be returning and quite disappointed at the lack of quality at this place.

The 4 pound combo with crawfish, shrimp, snow crab, clams, corn, potato, and sausage was perfect for 3 hungry people. The butter garlic sauce is totally delicious. The place is not what you would call«upscale» or in a nice neighborhood, but the food is so good it doesn’t matter. That sauce is totally addictive. Get some bread to soak up the rest of it. We’ll definitely be back. Areas for improvement: The garlic fries need some salt. The corn was a little overcooked. A few more choices of local beer would be appreciated.

I have driven by Dragon crawfish many times since it opened and always wanted to try it. Finally went there after reading all the positive Unilocal reviews. I ordered the garlic butter crawfish/clam. My crawfish appeared black and burnt from being on the stove to long… strike one… the garlic butter was extremely sweet, whereas I couldn’t take a second bite… strike two… I had to ask to dipping sauce for my meal and was only given a few small slices of lime to go with it… Strike three… NEVERAGAINWILL I EATHERE. What a waste of my hard earned money.

This is a small place but they are fast. The crawfish are amazing. You have to get the bread to soak up the amazing sauce. I need more words for this place. We ordered the sea snails(tried them wont get them again), crawfish(a must), clams(I wanted more), and shrimp(yummy). You will have plenty of food. I ordered the mild which has a kick. The price is not to bad for all you get. It is small so get there early and wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Do not expect top service(it is a small family run place) you go there to eat. Do not bother with the garlic fries you come here for crawfish! The crawfish are frozen but you can not get them in Washington any other way.

This is a garlic lover’s paradise. Here, there’s no such thing as too much garlic. So don’t forget your mints. The signature sauce is addictive. It’s sweet, garlicky, and can be as spicy as you want it to be. They cover the seafood in a generous amount of sauce. There’s always enough left for me to dip my bread and pour over my(garlic) noodles. Avoid the garlic fries, though. The sautéed garlic on top makes them very soggy. I much prefer the sea snails over the crawfish. Snails have more meat, better chew, and absorb the sauce more easily. Plus they’re less messy to eat. Still, Dragon’s Crawfish has a much better ring to it than Dragon’s Snails.

I’ve been looking for a new crawfish place to try and I ran across this one in the search menu. The reviews seemed great so I was expecting good things coming here. Our waitress was okay, she wasn’t very knowledgable and her responses always sounded like a question which made us question our order. My friend and I ordered 1lb crawfish in the garlic butter sauce and 1lb in the Cajun seasoning just to compare the two since it was our first time there. We asked if everything was frozen and she said yes. Once the order was placed, it didn’t take too long for the food to come out which was great for us because we were starving! They came out in stainless steel bowls and it looked good. But I wish it tasted just as good as it smelt. The garlic butter sauce tasted like it was just drenched in sugar and garlic, the sweetness was so overwhelming! So I reached for our other bowl which had the Cajun seasons which was even worst! It was super salty and hard to eat. There was just not a good medium between the two and the flavor was not consistent. My friend and I couldn’t finish most of our food because the quality of the crawfish and the taste was so poor. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this place… Sorry

I tried this place out for the first time six months ago and i gave it a 3 star review… my mom came to town and wanted to try it for herself… They had this amazing deal going on. 1lb of crawfish, snow crab, clams, and shrimp for $ 60 which includes the sausage, corn and potatoes. We both had the very hot garlic butter flavor. #Amazing…tastes waaay better than my first experience. And the bowl felt bottomless!

I visited few days ago. Waitress was friendly but me and my friend were only 2 ladies. Waitress recommended $ 60 menu for lunch. we ordered dozen of oyster too. It was too much and even we couldn’t finished half of it. Otherwise tastes was good. It is for 3 – 4 people. Not recommend for 2people at all. Kind of Expensive

This place is amazing! I came with my family and i was planning on eating the chicken because i typically dont care for seafoood. I ended up eating some of the crab pot and really enjoyed the crawfish, the shrimp, and the actually enjoyed the crab. It was amazing! Will definitely come back.

First time eating here, but not my first time having CAJUNCRAWFISH. I really wanted to like this place and come support local business owners. Had their oysters which were PERFECT. It all went downhill when my crawfish, shrimp and clams in garlic butter sauce came. The quality of the shrimp and clams were on point and I didn’t really mind the frozen crawfish. The sauce however ruined everything! Not even the bread could save it and I love bread. The garlic butter was overly sweet, not much butter or flavor either. It should have been disclosed on the menu that their garlic butter was«different»(sweet) was the word the owner used. I mean if you didn’t already have diabetes when you got here you sure will leave with it. They should rename that sauce/boil to sugar water and garlic. It was just all bad. I will not be returning. I will stick to Cajun Phở or The Cajun Crawfish.

This place is amazing. Small, cozy, a couple televisions, friendly service. And the food is amazing! Word of advice though, if you like spicy then mild is spicy enough. Cuz ours was SPICYGOOD crawfish, shrimp, crab, clammy, yummy goodness.

Solide 4.5 starts so I’m rounding up! It was awesome to find a craw fish boil place in WA! Clean restaurant, friendly service, good flavors… we really enjoyed ourselves here. We started off with garlic fries and when they say garlic fries, they mean that literally — we were given a little bowl of fries with a heap of hot fried fresh garlic on top. I’ve never actually had garlic fries like that before, but it was delicious actually! Then our 3 lbs of shrimp, craw fish, and snow crab legs came out in a huge bowl flowing over the brim… and it was mmm, mmm, good! Additionally, nice big clean bathrooms — a definite plus for a place where we use only our hands to eat :) The only critiques I have are the following: — price: quite expensive for WA where seafood is quite plentiful. At the end of the day, we still paid a considerable amount(same as if not more than places like the Boil in LA or Claws in HB) — limited seating: the entire restaurant probably fits 30 people if that, so it may get pretty crowded here, especially during the dinner rush — location: i guess lakewood is relatively central, but it was quite a trek for us to get there and the neighborhood isn’t necessarily the best, but it was still worth venturing to Will definitely be back for more seafood-y goodness soon!

Fairly new business and it shows. I’d rather not give any stars and just leave my review, but as that’s not an option I’ll leave 4 stars and return in a few months. I’ve enjoyed a number of great creole/Cajun seafood meals in recent years in California. I’ve eagerly awaited a place similar in the area and was excited when I read a recent article in the TNT about Dragon Crawfish. I think many others were as well as the owner tonight made comment on how overwhelmed they had been the last couple days. Good flavor and we enjoyed the clams and shrimp tremendously… I sensed this was a family run operation and they truly cared that you enjoyed your meal. That being said and appreciating the desire to stand out, I’d highly recommend a few of the following suggestions. — don’t run out of food. your serving frozen food after all.(Tonight no crawfish, no snow crab) — allow the option of having different spice and flavorings when ordering multiple pounds of food — turn the game off and put some lively music on. — get rid of the tiny water glasses, be quick to refill, or leave a pitcher. you’re serving spicy food, right? –consider employing more then 1 waitress –imagine the tables you could turn if you put a couple more in(you have the room) and had the staff to get the food orders taken and delivered quickly. Truly the best of luck to this place, I desperately want to have this as my go to spot when the craving strikes. As it stands, they have a ways to go. Give em a try, bring your patience. Prices seem reasonable, sausage needs to be better and corn is too small.

I’m originally from the Bay Area so I’ve been searching far and wide for a restaurant as good as boiling crab up here and I think I’ve found it! Ordered 1lb shrimp for 12.99, I originally wanted cajun sauce but she recommended garlic butter so I went for it instead. Also added corn and sausage for 1.99. The sauce was amazing! I have more of a sweet tooth so I was in love with the sweetness of the sauce. The mild sauce had just the right amount of kick. I’m so glad she recommended the garlic butter instead because it was crazy good, plenty of garlic flavor with perfect amount of cajun spices. Somehow the 1lb shrimp seemed endless. I’ve always been able to finish 1lb shrimps at any cajun restaurant on my own but somehow I had to leave at least 6 shrimps at the end so I definitely think they give you your moneys worth if not more. For additional 1.99 I got 3 small cut up pieces of corn on the cob and plenty of tasty sausage which I also highly recommend. She recommended us to get bread for the sauce so we went with her suggestion and boy it was delicious. The bread soaked up the sauce like a sponge and it was so tasty! I almost wish we got the bread instead of the garlic noodles because it would have been less filling. Overall I love the sauce and I would recommend this restaurant for all cajun lovers and remember to get the bread to dip into the sauce too! Also, I wouldn’t recommend going on a date or anything that involves someone in your personal space because you get drenched in the smell of garlic.

This place is amazing! I kept passing it up as I drove through 38th and just had to give it a try. I do not regret it! I got shrimp and snow crab legs with garlic butter and it was delicious especially with bread. No regrets! I am so glad I came here and will continue to come here going forward. PS. The service was also amazing! All around great experience
