This establishment is a great place to get coffee, study, work, or meet up with friends. They make great java, have loose leaf tea, and the staff are really nice. On the mantle by the fireplace, they have diplomas from the Seattle Barista Academy. I did not know this existed, but why not. I think it’s rad. I hope you go, and enjoy it too.

Tout était bon sauf qu’il est un peu trop gros et ouvert dedans pour mon goût.

Bottom line: if you’re in the area around lunch time, this little spot is safe for an average lunch and a cup a joe for under $ 10. The menu is basic, with tuna melt and the like, all done with a non-descript efficiency one can neither fault nor praise. Espresso drinks tend toward the sweet, more Big Foot than Euro trash type. Very clean, with room for a good sized party to sit. An excellent place to study or hang out with a friend. They offer meeting space as well. Big style point for me: people playing mah jong! I will take this independent place with some personality over Star*ucks any day…

I like the space – nice furniture and lots of windows on three sides. There is a ecclectic feel to the décor and a friendly staff. The tea is stash, fine but nothing fancy. I haven’t eaten anything yet, but there is a full menu(sandwiches, salads, smoothies, etc.). There’s also some nice outdoor seating(though you are on a major street) and couches for lounging. Strong internet. Quiet for studying. And for some reason there’s a very cute little consignment clothing store attached to/in the café with women’s fashions. Fun to check out!

Great coffee and tea, friendly staff and great service! Food items are pretty tasty as well and in decent sized portions compared to other cafes and coffee shops. Don’t let the young age of the staff fool you they are top notch compared to the staff at other businesses.

A quiet comfortable free wifi café with good food and eager staff. I left Starbucks because of the noise and constant line-up, and arrived here for a refreshingly comfortable atmosphere, free wifi, delicious food, and staff that were doing everything they could to make it pleasant. The chicken pannini with oregano was delicious, and what a nice surprise to have home-made potato salad on the side.(I was expecting the sandwich alone for $ 7.) They gave me a pot of tea for the price of a cup, served me at my table, and were remarkably cheerful. Most of the A/C outlets are at the back of the café near the fireplace if you’re looking for them. Also, they have an enclosed meeting room for 8 at the back.

I stopped in for the first time a few days ago and I was impressed. I can’t believe this is the first time I have been in! Ample seating, friendly service and a large menu of breakfast and lunch options. Compared to other coffee shops in the area, Java Fusion definitely offers a much better menu. Prices were very low. They offer coffee/food combos for only $ 5! Most items are made to order, but they also have cases with your typical pastry items. I had a chai tea latte that was crafted perfectly. I will be stopping in more often!

I just got back from breakfast at Java Fusion, something I like to do on a weekly basis with my daughter. We got our usual: cinnamon roll and breakfast sandwich, which we happily split. Service is always top-notch, and the food is excellent. Nice, friendly people behind the counter, and they are thoroughly trained. Since they converted to Café D’arte(always an excellent roaster) their coffee drinks are consistently good. Overall, it’s the best café in the area. You should make it part of your daily grind.

Java Fusion is a great place to hang out, have coffee with friends, or meet someone(or a group) for a professional business meeting. The experience is comfortable, clean and ‘homey’ with nice wood furniture, leather couches, coffee tables, clean bathroom, etc. The coffee. I used to be a barista at Nordstrom back in the day when you calibrated the grind and brewed the espresso shots by hand. Needless to say I have strong opinions about what makes a good shot of espresso. They make a great shot in my opinion. Good flavor, good shot pull with nice crema. The service… They are very friendly. I am part of a networking group that meets there a couple times a month and they have always been very hospitable to our group.

I just happened upon this place while driving down I-5 and stopping off at Exit 3 to find some coffee. It was love at first sip. My friend had recently gotten me hooked on breve(a horrible habit, I know) and we got vanilla breves that were heaven in a cup. I had tried other places, but here, you know they care. The baristas are super nice and the espresso’s strong, but never bitter. I had a pretty great coffee buzz that first time and now whenever I pass exit 3, I take a quick stop to Java Fusion because it never fails to make my day a little brighter. P. S. If you’re bored and can’t think of anything to do, be sure to go to the restroom.

One of the best Coffee Shop /Café’s in the area. Their deserts are to die for! When you ask for a drip coffee, they make it fresh for you, and it’s divine. Very nice atmosphere. Modern, yet homey and very comfortable. Nice fireplace front room feel with private small conference meeting room. Great for business and networking meetings. We hold our internet marketing network group here twice a month. WiFi and Big Screen. Owner’s are wonderful.

This place is the best fusion of coffee shop and café of any of the places I’ve been to in Tacoma, hands down. At the moment, there’s another«Java Fusion» listed on Unilocal, with a different address further down 6th, down near the sound. Don’t be fooled, this is the real location and the other one is an address typo. So, this place is so close to getting 5 stars from me. The deserts look great and the one cookie I had was lemon-white-chocolate with a crack infusion. The drip coffee’s pretty good and they’re proud enough of it to tell you what it is(unlike Blackwater ;-) when you order it. There are only a couple of small negative comments I could make… First, having a 2-hour lease on wifi(buy more stuff, get more time) — I mean, that seems like common coffee shop etiquette to me and enforcing it should only happen if it’s a problem(and I don’t see this place as one ripe for abuse). Second, if all I order is a cup of coffee or a refill, don’t make me wait for you to bring it out — just serve that bad boy up and hand it over — give me my caffeine — really, I could quit any time… I don’t have the problem, you have the problem… oh, yeah, the review… um, lastly, they’re a little short on strategically placed power outlets for laptops. Other than that, this place is pretty quality, in that framed artwork and greeting card coffee shop kind of way… so, despite it not being edgy, angsty and spartan like a true gritty urban coffee shop is supposed to be, I’ll certainly be back.
