Very expensive for the quality of food. Part of my order was scrambled eggs with cheese. The eggs were not real eggs. I’m quite sure they were powdered eggs or something equally gross. I’ve been here many times in the past(mostly the bar for drinks) but will never eat at Knapp’s again.

After being in a nearby restaurant for dinner and a missed connection, we ended up at Knapps to visit in a quieter atmosphere when our friends were finally able to joined us. Amy, our waitress… who only works Thursday nights, was the best remedy to our evening! She was so pleasant and patient. Above and beyond service that Knapps is already known for. So happy to have discovered her… a jewel for the restuarant and will have me making an effort to return again and out the place back on my list.

This place is a Pacific Northwest institution! Love to time travel back to here. It ruminates my experience growing up here in the Puget Sound Region… Great genuine small town, hometown local service and great food! I was here in March(2016) with a large group for a meeting and the staff was so very gracious, helpful, and exceptionally good hosts! Personally, I love going here because this wonderful neighborhood has such a great local feel and Knapp’s is so adorably part of that old school PNW tradition friendly. You’ll run into a lot of great chatty locals young and old here.

Service at 12:30 was sllllllow at the counter despite the 4 servers that walked by… despite eye contact. Had to ask 4 a menu. Food was good & there was no wait like usual on the weekends.

I’m giving two stars because the service was good and the women working were very sweet. unfortunately the food is pretty bad and covered in grease. I had a turkey sandwich that could have soaked through 5 napkins with the amount of butter on the bread used. My wife had a benedict that used a hollandaise straight from a store bought packet. Overall. very unimpressed with the food. That was a one and done kind of place for me. I’ll stick to Alfreds across town!

Was in for breakfast today and had the harvest breakfast, fantastic food, great service, but what topped it off was the chocolate peanut butter pie. OMFG! The best ever. I asked to buy the whole thing but it’s so popular that they did not have any left!

I highly recommend this place for dinner on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thersa, Berbel and Pam are pros at customer service and have earned the trusts and admiration of their customers. I have had many many great meals here through the years. The long litime servers and customers are wonderful. Angie, Teresa and the Amzaing Maria who has served me here and at Lakewood Terrace for 45yrs are what makes breakfast a hallmark of Knapps. Tonight I had the best meal and experience I have had here in many years. The fun, spunky and always wonderful Teresa was working for Berbel tonight. I had so much fun. Try her Wonderful pies. Peanutbutter and Keylime are to die for.

Not to fancy, has a very homey feeling to it. Customer service was awesome i had the fireside omelet, with hash browns and wheat toast. My omelet was great and my hash browns was ok they were pretty greasy and my toast was slightly burnt.

The food was very good as was the service portions were a bit on the small side. They have a monster omelette that is not a monster at all its an average size omelette. Prices Fair.

Good food, great service! My husband and I came in here for dinner earlier today and I had the French dip. Superb! And it hit the spot. He had the mushroom burger and claimed that it was delicious as well. Not as busy as most places, but then again it was Seahawks Saturday! We will totally be coming here again soon. Our waitress Pam was super friendly, and made us feel at home! Thank you for a great dinner experience!,

We went here the other day for lunch and were not impressed. They forgot the chicken on the chicken Caesar salad, and the staff seemed inattentive. I waited in line to ask for a few items, as the waitress didn’t come to check on us for some time. While waiting for assistance, three staff members were carrying on with their own private conversation. We will not be returning.

I’d avoid the Turkey Dip if at all possible. Incredibly dry and lacking much flavor even when drowning the thing in the accompanying sauce. Service was fine, even if the waitress suggested one of my friends was«easy.» Everything was fairly expensive for what was being provided. There are certainly better breakfast options out there and I’d recommend doing research to find them.

The staff were plentiful, friendly, and quick as a whip. When I ordered my OJ it was fresh squeezed AND cold. I can’t stand the sickeningly sweet taste of warm OJ. The pancakes were fluffy and HUGE. My only complaint was the Meat Lover’s scramble. I’m a fat guy, I love meat. And this had a lot of it. A bit too much in fact, the meat to egg ratio was so off it was very crumbly and couldn’t hold together. They also didn’t melt the cheese all the way on top and when I got to the bottom of the plate there was a thick pool of oil they used to keep it from sticking. The prices were fair and the service more than made up for the lack luster eggs. Will return, but not to order any scrambles.

First, I’m betting the negative reviews below are written by the competition because I cannot see how a person could have anything negative to say about Knapps. I’ve only eaten breakfast here but I’ve eaten it many times over years… For breakfast you can’t beat this place. Good food, good service. clean, prices a little more than Denny’s but worth it. I always get a Monster Omelet. Everything plus hashbrowns inside, smothered in gravy.(you can even substitute SOS gravy). What more could you ask for? But each of member my regular group has a favorite item and it all looks good. On the subject of SOS Gravy. best in town, hands down. and I love my SOS. Don’t listen to the Debbie Downers below. Try this place yourself and decide… but come early. the local regulars pack this place like clockwork on the weekends. What better recommendation could there be?

Okay, my fiancé and I have been coming to breakfast here for a while… until now. Last weekend we came to Knapps for a typical breakfast and, instead, experienced a stomach-turning violation of health codes. To be short: DON’T DRINKTHEFRESHSQUEEZEDORANGEJUICE! To elaborate: An older gentleman from the kitchen came out to disassemble the juicing machine. At first, I was turned off that he was taking the rotating juicers apart with his bare hands and tossing them in a bucket… questionable health standards for sure, but what happened next made that child’s play. Upon reassembling the juicers HEDROPPEDTHEMONTHEFLOOR, PICKEDUPTHEDROPPEDPARTS, ANDPUTTHEMBACKINTHEMACHINE. Didn’t miss a beat. The EXACT part that applies pressure to the tender flesh or your orange to deliver you delicious fresh-squeezed OJ, was laying on the scody tile and area carpet. We’ll never return. Bön Appetit!

Have you seen«The Goofy movie» by Disney, where they stop at a diner and Goofy gives his son Max, the road map, and makes him the«head navigator, and head which wayer of this years road trip». Well, this place COMPLETELY reminded me of the diner that they were at in that movie; if you’ve not seen that movie, then just picture any road side diner in your favorite movie, and it’ll remind you of it. I see why local, and loyals like this place. The chicken fried steak was huge and good. The biscuits and gravy with the sausage was way too salty. The french toast was average. The visit was nice, food was ok, but I didn’t really feel that it was worth the money.
