Restless Wings Photography

I was asked by Melissa and a mutual friend (photographer) of mine and hers to use my baby as a «practice» newborn shoot, now with this I figured I would receive some of those photos seeings how this was my ONLY newborn shoot for her and I was told I would receive some. WELL after a month I had messaged Melissa asking kindly what the status was on the pictures and if I was receiving and photos on a disk, her response? «Paying customers come first» alright! Well I can understand that, but now after 3 months and her posting photos she had edited of HERSELF I was a little upset. That clearly shows she has time to edit photos of NON paying «customers» (herself). It was total BS and I would NEVER recommend her. It took me complaining and sending a rude message and giving her a deadline for her to actually come up with product. Not to mention her attitude. During the shoot she was rude and had attitude, she thought she was the boss and could boss me and my boyfriend around in the most rude way possible. I understand we are not PAYING customers, but we are CUSTOMERS. THAT YOU ASKED FOR! Treat people with a little more respect.

This photographer was extremely unprofessional. Not only did she show up to our shoot two hours late but did not inform us that the initial money we paid did not go towards our images but just a «sitting fee» even though we shot in our own house, not in a studio. I have never worked with a photographer that lied about pricing and what they would then deliver. On top of it all she wanted to charge outrageous prices for sub par work. The photos are extremely over edited and like all novice photographers, only charges a sitting fee because she won’t be hired again. She even tried to tell me that the reason why our pictures were two weeks late was because of a family emergency while she posted a bunch of comments about how she was loving her time in mexico all over facebook. Finally, she told me all pictures would be private and only we would be able to see them but she used one of our images as advertising on her facebook page. Absolutely a waste of time and has no business sense whatsoever.
DO NOT WORK WITH THIS PHOTOGRAPHER. You definitely will over pay and waste your time.

Melissa did a Halloween night mini-​session run, and when we came in my then-9.5 month old was already cranky from having his schedule disrupted AND having to wear the parrot head part of his costume! Not that you can tell from the picture! She got him to sit in a chair and smile for her in the best Halloween picture I’ve gotten to date!
Also, I use Restless Wings as my go-​to spot for my in-​home Passion Party business. Combining any party with a mini-​boudoir twist upped my personal sales (I usually sell about $ 500 in retail, I sold over $ 700 when I did it there), made for better attendance and overall benefited not only the studio and my business but our mutual guests! Perfect venue for a smaller party! Will use them for every product launch I do from here on out, as long as they’ll have me!
