Susan Haas, Harpist

Susan performed the ceremony music for our Feb 2015 wedding. I cannot recommend her enough she played beautiful and was such a pleasure to work with. I knew that the ceremony music would be perfect so that was one less thing for me to stress about on our wedding day. You won’t regret hiring her!

I loved having Susan play for our July wedding at St. Patrick Church in Tacoma! She was absolutely wonderful. I found her reviews to be accurate thanks to Unilocal and Wedding Wire.
We conversed over e-​mail and she was quick to respond. For our consultation, we met at her home in Tacoma to go over music selections and as a musician myself, I had a lot of ideas. with the exception of one song, she was open to all of them and played 3 songs specifically for my ceremony plus many others I chose from her list of selections on the website. Speaking of: I LOVE that Susan has sound clips to listen to on her website! How lovely to listen while doing other wedding research :)
I asked for such favorites as More Than Words by Extreme, I’ll Be There by the Jackson Five for family processional, some Sound of Music. She sounded great playing all of them and even had different methods to offer (more legato, more bass, etc etc).
Susan arrived on our wedding day on time with her gorgeous harp. I like that she also asked me what colors I’d like her to wear — how thoughtful.
The cost was more expensive than expected — $ 400 for just the ceremony (playing 20 minutes before plus the processional) and for one consultation, but she did a beautiful job and I’m so glad we had harp as apart of our ceremony.

We hired Susan to play prelude and ceremony music at our wedding. She was great to work with, very responsive to all of our questions and requests for music samples. On the day of, she was on-​time and played beautifully. We’d highly recommend Susan to anyone looking for a professional harpist.

Susan has an amazing touch and skill. The Cellist was also amazingly gifted. I wish I could play harp. Her music is beautiful.

She is super responsive to emails, and very helpful with questions. As an overwhelmed bride, it was just really awesome working with her! We had a few special requests that she accommodated and played beautifully with Nicole during our wedding.
She worked with us to figure out exactly which songs to play at which part of the ceremony, and what kind of music we would like at the cocktail hour. That was so helpful!

Susan W Haas is an amazing harpist. She provided amazing music during our wedding ceremony at the state capitol. I would 100% recommend her.

First off, let me talk about Susan as a person. Susan was amazing to work with. When other harpists had turned us down due to the nature of our music requests, Susan was there to save the day. She was super personable with my future bride and I. From the beginning planning phase of the wedding to the end of the ceremony she was upbeat and wonderful.
We had custom videogame music that she was able to learn quickly and beautifully. She helped us figure out everything we needed for our June wedding and was always available on the phone and email. She was very flexible in all areas and made everything just work. We had compliments the entire wedding about how much they liked the music she played. She knew exactly what we wanted to hear based on the song suggestions we gave her to build off of.
Not to mention how beautiful she sounds at the helm of her pedal harp!
If you want a kind, helpful person to handle the music at your ceremony or cocktail hour, my wife and I cannot recommend Susan W. Haas more. Worth every penny. =D
