I have been there several times for lunch and I’ve always ordered the same thing the Ruben sandwich and it’s excellent. The chairs are not comfortable specially for someone with back pain. Only once did I have a very rude waitress and I let her know by writing it on a napkin with no tip. I will go back because i love that sandwich. :)

AMAZING food. All of it! The appetizers, the salad, the wrap. The first drink was a margarita and not amazing but the second was a gingerita and fabulous. Decision unanimous, «I like this place.»

Great place! Drinks are different, its a nice touch. We had a wrap, french dip fries and salad. It was perfect, all the food was very fresh and natural tasting. Will deffinetly be coming back again.

we were doing a double feature at the movie theater so we stopped over here between films. It was pretty easy to find a spot but the… chairs? This weird«I’m not a chair, not yet a bar stool» hybrid was super uncomfortable mostly because I have short legs but they also didn’t scoot on the floor. Our waitress was nice and prompt, my soda was nice and big so I wasn’t waiting around for refills. The beers were also good with a decent selection. The food though… I got the havarti bacon burger and it was really dry and didn’t taste like anything. My husband’s regular burger was equally disappointing and his bun(multi-grain bun? For a burger? Not an awesome choice) was so over toasted it was burnt. they have tater tots though! And they cook them in the same oil they fry the fish in so they will taste like fish! Which is awesome unless you don’t like fish! Like me!

2.5 stars. In for dinner and a drink on Saturday evening wth wife and 2 children prior to heading to a movie Next door. Had to wait for table 25 mins. Setting was casual, average loudness, seemed social, was comfortable. Drink prices were average, once seated, service was quick and friendly. Shared firecracker wings and fried pickles, wings were dry, carrots and celery appeared to have been frozen, not likely to order them again. Pickles were good, would order them again. Between the four of us, we ordered steak salad, prime rib dip, chicken/cheese sandwich and a blue cheese wedge. Steak was thin, overly seasoned and average quality, salad was small, taste ok. Prime rib dip was on toasted bread, like you would get with spaghetti at Denny’s, not good. Chicken sandwich was average, tater tots side seemed like Ore’ida, nothing special. Overall, I would not go back as a destination of choice. If headed to a movie and needed to eat, I’d perhaps consider them, but with hesitation.

Stopped in for a drink before seeing a movie. We were able to walk in and sit at the bar. No wait. This was on a Sunday afternoon You can watch sports, drink, and take a walk around the trail nearby. It was a good time. Our service was standard. They had some local beers on tap. Will try the food one of these days.

Wow this place is terrible. The service was good and friendly but the food and drinks were so so bad. And the décor feels weird. It’s like a dive bar owner decorated a well designed building. The drinks sound good in theory but they’re super bland. I tried 3 different ones before giving up. They were either watered down tasting or just sugary with no real flavor. Out of the 3 I ordered, the gingerita was most tolerable. First I tried nachos and they came out quick but the chips didn’t taste fresh, the cheese was already hard and wasn’t totally melted and everything was cold as if they had been sitting out for a long time, which made no sense. I sent them back and just asked for a quesadilla. Someone doesn’t clean the grill. They were covered in grease and burnt grill remnants. It makes me question the cleanliness of the place if something so essential could be neglected. Had to blot them. Ew. This quesadilla(which was 1 tortilla, folded over with cheese and nothing else aside from some stale chips on the side) was $ 8.99 and that was a «weekly special» like… are you kidding? My friend couldn’t eat the fries without ketchup because she said that they were hard in the middle. She liked the mini burgers though. Not gonna put myself through attempting to get a palatable meal here again. Also hoping I don’t get food poisoning.

VERY cozy bar/pub right on the waterfront in the new Point Ruston development. We stopped in on a pouring-down-rainy Northwest day recently, and found the place to be extremely inviting and cozy inside. We picked a table by the window to look out at the rain to the North and it really was nice to be there. The food choices are typical bar/pub fare as has been pointed out in other reviews, but the quality of what they offer is outstanding. We ordered the very-generous Hummus Plate, which included salami, Kalamata olives, hummus(of course!), olive slaw(yummy!), and really tasty toasted bread strips to dunk in all of the above. We also got a plate of the naked wings, with BBQ sauce and hot sauce on the side. The wings were«just OK» — most likely just out of a big freezer bag — but not unlike a lot of other bars. The treats on the hummus plate were simply wonderful. Service was effective — not overly warm and inviting like the overall vibe of the place would suggest, but certainly nothing wrong with it. The surroundings, Point Ruston, are all very new so everything inside and out was quite trim and proper — will be curious how well this new community grows and settles in to the North Tacoma vibe… All in all, Two Town Pub and Café is well worth being a destination place, if for no other reason than Happy Hour snacks and beverages even if you’re not looking for a dinner destination. Finally the Point Ruston development is slowly getting restaurants that are open! The Two Town Pub seems to be the only full restaurant open other tan a bakery up the sidewalk. This place is located right next to the new movie theater so it is an easy walk to get to before or after a movie. Most people are aware of this and the one time I went by and the one time I had a meal showed that. The place is quite busy! Two Town serves mostly burgers and your pubfare kind of food. There are more healthier options as well like salads. I got a grilled cheese chicken sandwich which was delightful with a nice, fresh salad. The wait staff was on top of things the whole time I was there and very friendly. I would definitely go back whenever I am down there at the theater!

Yummy bar food, good service. We arrived at 11:25 and planned to grab a quick bite before going to a movie at 12:10 next door. Our server was right there and took our order. I had the French Dip, loved the dipping sauce, not your normal plain au jus sauce and it was a nice change. The next best part of this sandwich was the home cut real potato fries! We will be back! We made the movie right on time!

We found this by accident because we turned left instead of right when going on Ruston way for lunch today. It’s situated down at the very end of Ruston way in the new Condo complex right on the water along with several other new businesses. It’s small so if you went at a peak time you might have trouble finding a spot. In nice weather you can sit outside and we noticed they have a jar of doggie cookies for when folks bring fido during the summer and sit on the deck. Not a huge menu but it encompasses salads, starters, sandwiches and a few entrees. Both my husband and I opted for a cheeseburger with a choice of sides. He got fries and I got tater tots but could have had a ceasar or green salad but why bother when you’re indulging in a burger. Both burgers came with lettuce tomato, secret sauce, onion if you want it on a multi grain bun and topped with a deep fried pickle. The sides had more of the secret sauce for dipping. It tasted suspiciously like thousand island but still was good. My tater tots were pretty good, hubby said his fries were just so so. Looked like the end of the bag since there were mostly little bits rather than big fries. I tasted one and it was sort of soggy. They have some signature drinks as well as a decent beer list. Wine list is small, but it’s a pub after all. The price was certainly right, two iced teas and two burgers, $ 29.

We were planning on eating at the Fish place but it’s not open yet. We decided to eat here and I am so thankful we did! Our meals were 5 star and the service was fantastic! We both had the skirt steak with veggies and a side salad for $ 15. We tried three different salad dressings, I believe they make the dressings there and all three were great. Our steak was supposed to be rare(it both came out medium) but the flavor was amazing and it was easy to cut. All the veggies that came under the steak was a BONUS! My GF and I have been meeting for lunch once a week for two years and this entrée stood out to be one of our most favorites. I’ve been lazy and I’m very behind on my Unilocal reviews — but I had to write this one. I’m sure it’s pretty packed at night. Lunch time was perfect and we plan to eat here again next week!

Great service, sports bar theme. Fish & Chips better than most. Good prices, uncomfortable chairs. Recommend it and will come again. Thank you Andrea!

Delicious food, fast and friendly server. Atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. Love the location. To those reviews that said they stood there and no one greeted them: If the sign says SEATYOURSELF, then seat yourself and don’t complain about it. It’s a PUB not Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.

Went in for lunch on a Saturday and it wasn’t busy at all. Was greeted as soon as we walked in and sat down at the bar. Bartender was friendly and professional. Food is good but slightly higher than other restaurants in the area, not by much but enough to notice. Would recommend this place.

Had one of their burgers and some good beer, service is friendly and quick. The atmosphere for this location is awesome and up n’ coming for whats being developed in the area. Ellen, the manager is very friendly and quick to respond to any questions I had about the location and its future. Will be going here many times in the future, they support local Breweries and get alot of their food from local people in the area as well.

After hearing and reading mixed reviews, we decided to stop by on a Friday night«date night». We walked in, looked around, stood there and figured it must be a «seat yourself» place since nobody bothered to acknowledged us. The 1st thing we noticed was an unpleasant smell of old deep fryer grease and empty tables, though a handful of seats at the bar were taken. Not really a great start. We did luck out and found a great table outside, so we’re were content… or so we thought?! Hmmm We sat there for about 15 – 20 minutes before a server finally came by with menus and took our drink order. He has passed by us a couple times so he knew we were there. Not sure what the hold up was, but it wasn’t because it was busy. We ordered 2 beers and were told it would be a few minutes before our beers could be poured because the bartender was on break?! Seriously… I’ve never heard THAT before. As we sat there, it became unpleasantly obvious that we were sitting directly across from the Ventilation exhaust vent and we were being blasted by the smell of that old grease again! Unfortunately we couldn’t move because the tables away from the vent were taken. They all clearly knew something we didn’t! Anyway, apparently the bartender must have been on a dinner break, because it took about 30 – 35 mins to get 2 beers?! Mind you we’ve been there for close to an hour by this point. Wow… just wow. We ordered their chili nachos that came with an «in house» made chili. The nachos would have been great except when they showed up, they were cold. Literally so cold the cheese was hard and shriveled and the chili was like it had never even been reheated. I do have say the chili WAS tasty. At one point went to the restroom, which is in the main part of the building complex, and I could actually smell the good Ol’ grease in there too! Clearly there is either a ventilation issue with their kitchen or I was being haunted by an old dead fry cook in the bathroom? Needless to say we left very disappointed and as we headed home the smell of that dang nasty grease came home with us, having hitch hiked on our clothes and hair! We immediately removed our clothes & I threw them in the wash. No joke, we really did. The next morning when we got in the car, even our dog complained about the smell of that old grease!(Joke) Sorry, but will not be back again!

The place looks brand new but the food tastes old. Nothing special at all. BUT, the fried pickles and sauces are pretty tasty. That was the highlight. Fish n Chips and Prime Rib were very mediocre. Service was odd. Price was ridiculous!

Pub in new Point Ruston development. Unfortunately currently suroundes by construction and architecturally designed not to take advantage of the views unless in outdoor seating. $ 15 flank steak with caesar is good value and their tater tots are the bomb. Decent beer selection. Located strangely next to a plastic surgery center and gym. Their seats are hard and uncomfortable so ask for a cushion
