The owners are so lovely and the food was delicious. The homemade pasta was to die! If you’re ever in Taft visit the café.

Horrible customer service and false advertisements! I’ve tried to give this place a chance multiple times. First impressions dining in seemed clean, friendly, a nice place in Taft. First they go off telling me what’s on the board isn’t current, when I grab the cheap paper menu everything that looked delicious they didn’t have in stock. Then as we waited for a food I noticed them grab freezer raviolis! If you claim to be a bistro why not make your own homemade pasta?! Cheaper, fresh, and more delicious. The salad was amazing, I’ll give them that. I was extremely unimpressed by the waitress sitting at the table next to us stuffing her face as more customers came in and had her 6 year old daughter wait on their table for her. My pasta was awful. Far from blue crab. The sauce wasn’t even pesto. It was Alfredo with a small dollop of pesto mixed in. Second time around I went there for lunch. Their poor advertisement of time on their menu verbatim states HOURS MONDAY-SATURDAY 5am-8pm SUNDAYBRUNCH11am-2:30pm CLOSEDMONDAY-SATURDAY2pm-5-pm Now why wouldn’t you just put open 5am-2pm — 5pm-8pm The hours make no sense! Third time around we ordered out food as carry out. My boyfriend comes back with the food. No crotons in my salad. He also stated the waitress was rude. So I called to ask why I paid $ 7 for a salad if I was shorter on product. She responded rudely to me saying ‘Well. I don’t know what to tell you. Apparently they didn’t make them today. We make them fresh daily. What do you want me to do? So I responded to her ‘I was under the impression that if you make them daily, then why didn’t you make it fresh today??’ She then realized she got caught up in her BS and tried to be nice. No thanks. Did I mention they never have at least half the menu available? Stop ordering from the Schwanns man and clean up your attitude!

Clean and neat little restaurant, had a kind of barnyard country feel to it. Sandwiches were decent. I had the Italian cold cut sandwich, which was fine except the bread was spongy and had no texture at all as well as a little soggy. Price is a bit high but you get a pretty big sandwich. Would be nice to have a better selection of breads and sides. Overall not bad for Taft.

This small, family owned, bistro has everything a 5star eatery has to offer. Great atmosphere. Pleasant employees and owner. And amazing food! We split the caveman and took almost half to go. It was by far the best sandwich I’ve ever had. The Dutch Crusted bread was the perfect touch to the awesome pile of meat, cheese, and veggies. They also made a grilled cheese for our son and it came with a pickle spear and a homemade toffeechip cookie. Needless to say, it was as good as our adult meal and he was very happy! Definitely give it a try!

This is a great little hole in the wall place. I have eaten here a few times now. Their food is very fresh and full of flavor. Their breakfast and lunch menu is awesome and has something for everyone. Hearty and lite items. The décor is quite pleasant too. Not too busy either so it’s a good place to dine-in although for the quality of food I feel it should be busier. The staff is very friendly as well.

This place has good food. The breakfast was the best but they changed the cook or something because it’s not as good as it used to be

This is a great new addition to the restaurants in Taft. I had the Turkey, Provolone, and Avocado sandwich on some delicious cheesy crusty bread with a name I can’t remember. I like the fresh take on a deli restaurant, it’s a nice change and lunch/dinner option now. I didn’t get to try their pasta salad, which comes with the sandwich, because they had run out by time I stopped by at 1:30pm. That’s not a bad thing, it means other people like this place too and bought out all the pasta salad. I highly recommend this place… and for as small as they are there is plenty of seating for a group as big as 6. I will definitely return!

A sandwich bistro in a small industrial town that encompasses those rare times in life when food is crafted, planned, and served in a manner that is nothing short of genius. A quaint and intimate setting displaying a minimal menu that will assuredly suffice your appetite. Nothing over-the-top, the food speaks for itself.

Had the Pastrami on a soft Chibata type roll and a green salad. The Pastrami is next to the best I’ve had. Cooked full of flavor and balance perfectly with mustard and a dill pickle. The green salad is great with a bit of everything that makes a salad perfect. Very nice place and friendly staff.
