Great white mocha, perfect balance of coffee and white chocolate. It’s where the locals on the lake go for their coffee!

The secret to their awesome cinnamon rolls is that they use croissant dough: It really doesn’t get any better, especially if you arrive just after they open, in which case their baked stuff is hot out of the oven. But their croissant is not flaky enough: it’s more like a buttery dinner roll:

Small shop with lots of character. Meals are prepared in the small area behind the counter. No frills food and a bit pricier relative to other breakfast options, but definitely a nice change of pace from the Starbucks you find all over the place.

Good, small café right near the lake. Breakfast sandwiches are made on demand and the pastries are alright. Coffee was tasty; we took it to go and walked out on the nearby piers.

This was my second time here. I had onion, tomato pesto crêpe. Loved it! Their white moca was also great!

This is a solid 3 star place. A place to get coffee, pastries, and breakfast sandwiches but nothing remarkable about it. Had a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel. Bagel was soggy(toasting would have helped) and flattened. The egg was ok but the bacon was chewy and overly smoked. I’m guessing economy cut and precooked way ahead of time. The cup of coffee(Sierra Sunrise blend) was good, like I would expect from my coffee maker at home.

My husband and I decided to come here based on the good reviews and we were underwhelmed. I ordered sausage, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. When the girl who was taking our order(she was very nice) asked if I wanted Cheddar, Swiss, or Provolone cheese I almost changed my order because I wanted American cheese. I went with Cheddar. The sausage and egg were good but, for me, the Cheddar detracted from the flavor as much as the fact that the muffin wasn’t toasted did. Four ingredients – two good, two bad. I also ordered a mocha. It was made with steamed chocolate milk. Not the best mocha I’ve ever had but also not the worst, although it got worse as it cooled. I tossed the last 25% of it out. My husband got bacon, egg, and Cheddar(which he loves) cheese on a sesame bagel. His bacon was chewy and his bagel wasn’t toasted and it was squashed flat. Again, four ingredients – two good, two bad. He got a cup of coffee which was average and not worth returning for another.

Great hole in the wall coffee spot by the lake. I’ve tried as many variations as possible of the breakfast sandwich, with eggs, bacon, ham, different cheeses, tomatoes, etc. and all have been excellent. For 2 coffees and 2 breakfast sandy’s the whole cost is less than $ 20 with tip. Solid.

The regular drip coffee is excellent and depending on who is working, the espresso isn’t too bad. The service could definitely be better.

We’re spending the winter up in Tahoe, and have decided to try all the coffee houses in Tahoe City area. First up was Coffee Connexion, which is conveniently located next to the post office. There is very little seating inside, with just a small counter area with three stools. It is not a place to snuggle up with your book or laptop. We thought the cinnamon roll was delicious. I also ordered a lemon crêpe, and was surprised that they added no sugar, so it was very tart. Once I added sugar to my liking, it was quite good. My husband said the hot chocolate was okay but not outstanding. I had the house coffee, which is not burnt and bitter like you get at Starbucks, but quite mellow. No complaints about the service. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Meh. My iced chai latte was so so. The place had a funny, nasty smell. The staff isn’t friendly.

This place definitely runs on Tahoe Time. But staff are all friendly(and beautiful), the coffee is good, and it’s a welcome fueling stop before heading up Dollar Hill. Pace amber k., there is a small seating area outside. Currently, one of the tables(the high one) has seats from the Bicycle Art project, so it’s a bit uncomfortable, but otherwise you can set a spell. If you don’t like those table, you can go around the building to the greensward above the water — there are picnic tables there.

Great alternative to Starbucks. It’s not fast, but nothing in Tahoe really seems to be. I love that you can leave your frequent visitor card on the board.

You know that phrase, ‘Slow as Christmas?’ All of Tahoe City seemed to be under the Christmas spell. Once I got past the fact that I was in Country Time and not City Time, I was able to relax and enjoy Coffee Connexion. I got a breakfast crêpe with cheddar, tomato and onion to go and it was absolutely delicious. I had an amazing, warm chai to wash it down. This place was worth the wait! Warning, not a sit down place, this is definitely a to-go spot.

While it is small, no wifi(at least that belongs to them), it is a great local spot. The service is great, the coffee is self-serve, and it tastes good. This is the kind of place to come if you want to get the local scoop and really understand the vibe of the town.

Got some coffee here after breakfast. When I entered, there were a couple of other customers in front of me. There was this loud music playing — and the two girls working behind the counter were bopping to the music as they worked. I would guess that they both were about 17 – 18 years young. Both had long tousled hair — and both of them were gorgeous — they exhibited this natural, organic, mountain girl-next-door sexiness. I also noticed, as it was very cold out that morning — that both were wearing one piece mini dresses — showing a lot of leg — but maybe they are used to the temps around here. I got a 16 oz. Columbian coffee and hit the road. They don’t accept credit cards — cash only. Good coffee!
