View of the dock with the lake behind. Clean dining area. The service was great! Our waiter was attentive and funny. The food was absolutely delicious and better than we expected. There were four of us at the table and total bill including tip(no alcohol) was $ 75. Would highly recommend and will most definitely be returning here on future trips to North Shore.

Excellent lunch and service. We had gluten free beer and great stouts. Mandarin salad was great, had it 3 times this weekend. Great for kids and families. Nice views of south Lake Tahoe and Lake!

Great place to stop for lunch. We had the French Dip & Cod fish tacos. Be sure to get extra homemade chips & kale slaw. All yummy. Great service.

Dockside 700 is our(my wife and I) go to place for delicious authentic BBQ on the north shore in Tahoe. Salmon is excellent as well! Casual relaxed atmosphere, fabulous bar selections, great service and a very cheerful owner(DR) make this a great stop for locals and visitors alike. Very reasonable prices for high quality food that is expertly prepared and presented. Location is somewhat hidden in the winter, a few feet from the Tahoe marina with stunning views… this is a must stop!

Came here for lunch on a Wednesday in January when it was snowing outside. While the atmosphere/environment could have been improved– i.e. Updated furniture, etc., the food was fantastic. We absolutely loved the food. We had a nice view of the lake with boats docked, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall a good experience, will probably try somewhere new next time though.

Went for lunch It was freezing cold inside and the heating system was not running. We waited more than an hour for food. No bread and no I am sorry. Food was not super hot when it arrived to our table. I am not going back.

Rack of lamb(not the lamb lollipops) was way undercooked. Seared perfectly on the outside but inside was half raw. Server never asked how I wanted it cooked. When I complained all he said was sorry. No offer to compensate. Yellowfin was great. So was the red pepper bisque. They closed at 7:30 pm.

This place is excellent. I have been to many of the surrounding restaurants and did not realize this restaurant was even here until I walked over to look at the boats in the marina. After making a mental note to go try it sometime, I went back today for lunch. It was amazing! Not only are the views second to none, but the food is excellent and the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Chopped Salad with Flank Steak. The presentation was excellent and it tasted even better than it looked. My lunch date ordered the Dockside Chicken Club sandwich and mentioned that she would only be eating half when she ordered it. She said it was so good she couldn’t stop eating it, and needless to say, the other half was gone before we left. Hers came with homemade potato chips. I know this is a trendy thing that many restaurants have, but these are different. They have some kind of special seasoning on them(maybe ranch powder?) that make them taste really good. This is a must try. I also noted that it was one of the only lunch places open in the area. Go check it out, you won’t be disappointed. Prices are a little high, but the view makes them worth it and the food lives up to the cost.

The food was great. We had lamb lollipops which were so good! And pulled pork nachos and joe’s burger. They were very tasty. The location was very beautify as we chose a booth in the open seating/patio area and we could gaze at the lake as we ate. We were impressed by our waiter whole had moved from Romania and was super funny and made our meal enjoyable. I’m sure a manager who hired him must be hiring good staff. Giving them a five star rating based on our one visit which was enjoyable after fun activities in king’s beach

Our family went here during our stay in Tahoe City at the end of June. We attended for happy hour and was disappointed to find that service was very lacking. We were a large group(8 adults) ready to have several rounds of food and drinks but our waiter rarely attended to our table. The place only has a few outdoor tables that are not large enough to accommodate bigger groups. Wish we knew this ahead of time! Additionally, we called in advance to see if they had TV’s(to watch the Women’s World Cup Game), and they said they did. However, they only had one so this vastly limited where we could sit. They also advertise themselves as a «full bar and brewery.» They were unable to make several drinks we requested. They said their blender was broken and therefore could not make any blended drinks. Additionally, they were out of several menu items(such as the hummus dip). It seemed like they could not fulfill so many of our requests. We ended up leaving and moving to a new location with better service and food. We were overall very disappointed.

Unfortunately had a horrible experience here. The view is beautiful and that’s the only positive I can say. Service was the worst I’ve seen in a while. Our waiter never came by to ask how our meal was, which is unfortunate because he got my dates order completely wrong. Jalapeño cheese instead of cheddar, my date specifically asked for no thousand island dressing, and revived thousand island. And the burger came with bacon on it, even though the burger he ordered didn’t come with bacon. I order a Arnold Palmer, and it was just strait ice tea. It was like he didn’t even listen to what we were saying. My pasta was cold and hardly had any sauce on it. I ordered pasta with marinara sauce and it came out to be 22 dollars! For pasta?! What? No bread either! Also, the guy who i am assuming is the owner, went around to every table but ours to ask how everyone’s meal was. I guessing my date and I revived the short end of the stick because we look a lot younger than we are.(We seemed to be the youngest ones there) Overall, this place has so much potential, but I will never recommend it, nor will I be back.

Average. There was a chopped up toothpick in my chicken salad, the waiter said the owner thought 10% off was more than generous for this near fatal encounter. Nice view tho!

Happy hour isn’t even worth the price. My boyfriend and I came here on a dinner and a movie date. Having previously rode past this place on my bike, noticing the patio and location, I thought I would give this place a try. We sat in the bar for happy hour, because this is the only area which happy hour applies. Cross onto the patio where the ambiance is 10 times better and your paying $ 60% more for the same food. Not very good food. We dined on the clams and wontons, as they were out of other on the menu. I love clams, but not these. They didn’t taste fresh and were overlooked to compensate, or just overlooked. Plus there were only half the clams for half the price. Needless to say, I felt ripped off. Having gone through the photos provided by other Unilocal reviewers, I noticed that my dish was particularly more skimpy compared to other portions of clams. The only saving grace was the fresh bread. The wontons were pretty good and looked hand made. I may be a fool, but fried wontons kind of get me. The sauce was spicy and flavorful. The dip complementary. The price on these was more appropriate. The service was strange. The bartender was training and the older training bartender/manager really wasn’t very welcoming. If anything I felt uncomfortable by him. I’m assuming he is also the owner, but not sure. This place has potential. The location is great, but the value is absent.

Excellent service, sweet owner, wonderful view. We ordered Brie en croute, Joes burger on freshly made bun with fried egg, beef patty was huge, quality beef. I ordered the surf and turf special seared Tuna and 160z ribeye with asparagus and I ordered a small side of jasmine rice. Steak was huge and cooked the way I like it. Thank you
