Really, I would rate this place 4 stars due to so-so food, but the beers are excellent to very good, the styles ambitious and unique, and the location is awesome. We sat outside in the shade, with a view of the lake. It was a beautiful day and worth every penny. The brown ale aged in wood was subtley tremendous. The Hopsong IPA was an excellent example of the style. My wife liked the Hot Pants sour. The high gravity beers were clean and professional judging from the flight sampler. The French Pils was unique and memorable. I wish I had ordered a full one, in retrospect. To improve the burgers, imbue them with more subtle smoke flavor by grilling over coals rather than burning wood. Potato chips had been sitting a while. Spring for the fries, IMO. Definitely worth seeking out for our little family vacation. Workers were good, friendly folks, too. Thanks!

Great service but the food was really just average. Ordered a burger and it was really bland. They also charge you extra for fries because they give you these awful homemade potato chips. One of the saving graces of the restaurant is its location. Outdoor seating gives you a view of the lake.

So disappointing after the food we had here last year. My friend ordered the tri tip sandwhich and reported the meat was«stringy» and some of the meat was unidentifiable and unedible. I had the pok belly sandwhich and it was mostly bread, mayonaise and lettuce and tomato. These sandwhiches are $ 15. 00 each and we expected something decent, not the case!!!

This is just a review of the food. Wine, beer, atmosphere(sports bar or outside area), service, all good. The menu, however is super limited unless you like cheap salads and burgers. Kids ordered tacos — they were very sparsely filled and not very tasty. Only two per plate was a bit of a rip off. Another kid ordered the grilled chicken. Was dry as shoe leather. I ordered a chicken sandwich on a bun with a side salad. Sandwich was«ok» — side salad was croutons from a box and bagged salad mix. I ate the cherry tomatoes and that was it — oh and the salad cost $ 2 more than fries. My husband’s tri tip sandwich came on bread that he could barely fit into his mouth. I’m sure if you just want a beer or a glass of wine and a burger with fries, you’ll be happy. But if you think you might want a healthy option, go someplace else. No one in our group of 6, including our preteen and teens, was happy with the menu and we unfortunately won’t be back.

Great place. Good beer and food. Nice to go to a brew pub where the people are chill… and not the new trend of beer snobs you see most newer breweries.

Good choice of draft beers, good burgers but don’t take the fried chickpeas! Very friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Also: excellent sports bar, thanks to the many tv screens placed all around. Prices ok.

Top attributes– cozy, some of best wings I have ever had(& I have had my fare share), hot sauce homemade and SO Tasty! Overall great bar munchies, hostess is helpful and welcoming, service is friendly, nice patio! We decided to share a couple appetizers on a chilly Sunday afternoon. Pretzel bites with beer mustard — So.Good. Slightly crisp outside, just enough salt, warm soft pretzel inside. These have a slight sweet taste to them. I usually don’t order pretzels because of the overload of salt, butter, and just boring dough… These are anything but that! Chicken wings — up there with Best I have had. I seriously have had wings at almost every place that offers them. Lately I have been bored with buffalo sauce and the fried wings… We got them naked– they arrived crispy, no greasy, and seasoned to perfection! Homemade hot sauce on the side. Definitely made our top Five list!!! Loaded tots– I mean c’mom best munchies We purchased a bottle of hot sauce to take home, and a couple of their saisons!!! Cheers Tahoe Brew!!! Tell the boys(and ladies) in the back they are doing it right in the kitchen!!!

Good place… great outdoor deck when the weather is nice… I’m not much of a beer drinker, but the root beer was delicious as was the food!

Tahoe Mountain Brewery was the first stop on a recent brewery tour around Lake Tahoe. Honestly, I had never even heard of it, but I also haven’t visited Tahoe City in YEARS so I guess it wasn’t really on my radar. Anyway, glad we stopped in for lunch and some beers. The patio has great views of the lake, as long as no big cars are parked along the street. The patio isn’t covered, so not really an option for rainy/snowy/cold days, but remember your sunscreen for the sunny days! I ordered the cuban sandwich with a salad as my side and my friend ordered the tri-tip dip. When our food came out, it was two orders of the cuban. Luckily my friend was ok with that, but I was kind of looking forward to having a bite of the tri-tip… oh well. The cuban was great, not skimpy on the meats, nice and moist, and lots of flavor. The salad was a good size, had cucumbers and tomatoes, and came with a creamy vinaigrette. My beer was the passion pale ale(hints of passion fruit and mango). It was just so-so. If we had more time, I probably would’ve tried some of their other beers.

What kind of idiot orders an ahi salad at a brew pub? This idiot. Sigh. I was trying to be healthy! The veggies were fresh but the ahi had a funky taste to it. Everyone else at my table was smart and ordered fried and greasy things and they were all happy campers. My brother raved about his spicy burger with sweet potato fries. Be like my brother. His sister isn’t very smart sometimes. That being said, Tahoe Mountain Brewing is super cute and I enjoyed my beer. I will definitely be back and throw caloric caution to the wind.

Yeah, I’m not much of a drinker, but we came here before a movie at the nearby theater to kill some time. Very happy and helpful host /waiter. We sat near the door as it was the only seats available without having to wait. My friend just ordered a cold beer. I ended up with a Thai chicken salad. Loved the blood orange slices that came with it. For $ 14, it was a bit pricy but pretty tasty. The serving was quite generous, so I took half of it home. The next day, the salad dressing was even better. So so good. I also ordered a hot chocolate, which was $ 3.50. Velvety chocolate and hit the spot on a cold winter night. It was a bit loud in here, but it’s Friday night and everyone was enjoying themselves.

After a beautiful drive around the lake, and a nice walk to emerald bay. We picked this spot just because it popped out, was kind of busy, and the menu looked ok. Ended up ordering the chicken wings buffalo style, and shared the smokehouse pizza with a wash down of moscow mules. The chicken wings were great. Not those thin small wings you get sometimes Full of meat and a perfect spice to the sauce. The smokehouse flatbread(pizza) was amazing. Contained bacon, chicken, and an amazing smoked pork that blended so well with the home made white sauce. IT was a little pricey, and we beat the rush, sat down fast. I gave this a 4 star because not only was the food great, our server was pretty bad ass. fast, friendly.

While we were pretty sure that the beer would be worth stopping in for, we were hesitant about the food. For this reason, we started with an appetizer and a beer, knowing we could always abandon ship if need be before getting too committed. This turned out to be a good plan. The beer is good. If you’re into local microbreweries and all that, Tahoe Mountain is a good place to get a taste of what the local scene is cooking up. Really enjoyed the Hop Song, it had a nice balanced flavor with a little bite of hops. It was good enough to get two of the same one. To test out the food waters, we ordered the pretzel bites with a side of cheese sauce. They were decent, but nothing to write home about and the cheese sauce was pretty bland. Meh. This just goes to reinforce my perspective that breweries should do what they set out to do – brew beer. The staff was super welcoming and friendly, though, so this is definitely a place I’d hit up again for a cold one.

Really great beer, swag, food, and atmosphere. They have hoppy beers, stout, etc., and pub fare that is just what you need after a day of Tahoe fun. Riding, skiing, biking, whatever, this place will cure any aches or pains. Really well thought out space too– it’s Tahoe fun. They sell their hot sauce and yummy mustard to go too. The strong IPA is fairly balanced, hard to believe you’re having an 8% beer! Giddy up!

We went here for lunch after dog sledding on 2.7.16. The location is across the street from Lake Tahoe with a beautiful view of the lake from their main dining room. I ordered the loaded tots & fish & chips to share with my bf. The fish pieces were nice & crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, perfectly cooked. The loaded tater tots were topped with bacon, smoked pulled pork, cheese sauce, sour cream & green onions. It was tasty & filled us with with tasty meat & carbs. Our friends had the ahi nachos & the tri tip chili dogs, which they enjoyed. They have a nice beer selection on tap. My bf had the hop dragon & porter, which he said were both very smooth & enjoyable. Our friends also had beer & wine, which they enjoyed. After your meal, go for a stroll across the street at Lake Tahoe to walk off those carbs. Service was helpful & friendly. Overall, 3.5 stars.

I’ve come here so many times. And I love this place. It’s one of the few places in Tahoe that I feel is still fun for locals. The beers are incredible and their food is equally as delicious. I would highly recommend the chickpeas as an appetizer and their chocolate stout is the best I’ve had. Ever. Their staff is always friendly and kind, gives great recommendations and does their best to serve you quickly. If you’re in Tahoe this place is a must go. And if you a local you probably already knew that.

In short: First and foremost, a brewery. But also a great place to take friends for some delicious grub. Should you try it? Yes Ambience: Bar atmosphere indoors, but we sat outside on a cute little fenced-in patio. Service: Great service for our large party. They were very attentive. Location: Standard Tahoe City parking problems. When it’s busy in Tahoe, there’s nowhere to park. We were golden because it wasn’t busy, so we got a spot in their lot. 3 Key Tips: 1) Order a flight of beer. It’s fun. 2) Their fish n’chips are super yummy. 3) Ask to sit outside on the patio! Best Dish: I only got the fish n’ chips, and loved it!

This review is for the Ahi Chips starter. Not really interested in most bar offerings — tater tots and pulled pork can be found anywhere. We spotted the Ahi Chips for $ 16 though, and took a chance. What a great choice. The chips are fried wantons, the salsa bed was a minced tomato and cucumber mix with a wasabi cream drizzle. Piled in a tall pyramid with a ginger rose-shaped garnish on top, the ahi was lightly seared and cubed — looked like ½ pound of amazing tuna. Two of us shared the plate and a couple beers. Absolutely delicious!

As a Tahoe City lifer I’ve seen plenty of businesses occupy this spot. When I came up last year I was so excited to see the brewery but never got around to trying it out. So this year, I put it on the top of my to do list! Unfortunately it was underwhelming. The service was… off. The hostess quoted us 15 – 20 minutes for first available even with plenty of outdoor seating open. We stood and waited and about two minutes later a different host comes over, asks our name and says just a moment and then seats us? Clearly some confusion. However, I know what to expect in Tahoe City so I’m honestly not knocking any stars for service. In Tahoe you have to be patient and flexible! Should the drinks have been great I would have loved to give four stars but I just couldn’t. My boyfriend and I both ordered the beer flights. We were informed the pours correlated with a number under the tasting glass and menu. Unfortunately our beers were clearly in the wrong places, so it was very hard to know what we were drinking. Example: a dark stout tasting beer in the spot corresponding to the Hefeweizen… My boyfriend is really into beers so it made it less fun to taste when you really didn’t know what was what. For me, I know to stay away from IPAs because I can’t stand the hops. But with the mix up I tasted a few mistakenly. Also with the mix up it wasn’t worth it to try to order a pint of a favorite because we didn’t know what was really what! So, I give the brewery a three for trying but not quite delivering. Granted it was Fourth of July weekend so maybe they were frazzled and busy. Maybe I’ll give it another shot next year if it’s still around.

Great job!
