I had been looking for a Tai Chi school for several months — none seem to resonant. Wu Shen Tao was the proverbial ‘best for last’. Everyone is absolutely a gem — the ShrFu Paul Ramos, his instructors, the other students. Everyone seems invested in the success of each other. The patience, the encouragement, the explanations or applications of movements(why they are done). The holistic exercises for calming/centering, the easy way in which the older students will watch and then offer tips and/or demonstrations. I could not believe my luck! My husband was so intrigued, he accompanied me and is now a student. He asked me to add his comment: Tell them I really like it(not an easily won praise from my husband, the guy). Tai Chi is not the only form offered, talk with ShrFu Paul about what you’re looking for. His background is not only solid but makes for interesting conversations.

Paul Ramos is an amazing instructor who addresses the talents and needs of each individual student. I attended several tai chi classes and learned much about the patience and skill that Paul has for the Pushing Hands form of tai chi. His guidance was encouraging but neither demanding nor unreasonable. During class, he would always warm up with everyone and then guide students individually to improve their skills based on his or her own pace and success thus far. I was always impressed at the calming strength of these classes in providing a balanced workout– though in a non traditional sense. If I had more time in my schedule, I would be back! If you want to learn this traditional art, coming to Wu Shen Tao with Paul Ramos would be wise!
