After trying various hair removal techniques, both in salons and at home (tip: Never try to wax your own armpits), I met a guy who raved about sugaring. Granted, his wife owned a sugaring salon up in Portland so it may have been self-​serving, but it was intriguing. Then I completely forgot about it, moved back to Medford, and after yet another super-​frustrating week during the beautiful summer with irritation and ingrown hairs in various unsightly places, I looked up sugaring and found Natalie’s website.
One thing that’s very important to me is that Natalie answers emails promptly and will answer every question and soothe any fear you have. I’m neurotic, I’ll admit it, and I also hate phones. If a website has an online contact form and the only response I get is a form email stating I should call (or no response at all), I’m already done with that site. So Natalie basically ensured a customer simply by following through with my questions and appointment making online.
Secondly, this technique is amazing. It’s far less damaging to the skin than waxing, hurts far less, and is very fast. For armpits, brows, and mustache, I’m out of there in 20 minutes or less.
Third and most important is Natalie herself. She’s very knowledgeable about skin, with a wide variety of knowledge about skin care techniques and will share tips and advice about anything. While getting sugared she managed to solve my dry skin and cuticle problem just by chatting. She’s also very easy to talk to, and the environment of the salon is incredibly comfortable and soothing. The prices are good, too, and again, it’s very easy to make an appointment.
I haven’t yet had a facial there but plan to soon and if it changes my mind about any of this, I will come back and update, but given what I’ve seen after repeat visits, I expect it will be awesome.

I have (yet!) to receive a facial, but her products all look great. What I can speak to is her skill with sugaring (hair removal).
I’d been waiting for some to open a sugaring place in the Rogue Valley, so I was excited to try Skin Solutions when they opened in little ol’ Talent! I wasn’t disappointed. Professional, extremely clean, and very kind, Natalie did a great job, and I’ve returned several times.
I’ve tried the following: underarm, lower let, bikini, and, yes, Brazilian. I’m not going to say it didn’t hurt (it’s called having your hairs ripped out, folks), but it was quick and clean. I didn’t have red bumps or aggravated skin afterwards, and she uses a great after-​wax product that contains (I think) St. John’s wort, which is helpful for healing.
Can’t recommend her highly enough. Also, the hair salon she’s located next to is also great!
