Better Living Day Spa

I’m giving this place only 1 star because the masseuse and the nail tech were nice. Spa was in a renovated house, not very clean, and a bit tacky (curtains/​furnishings). Pedicure chairs were reg. chairs and an electric basin of water was put on a platform for my feet. I was charged $ 40.00 for the pedicure and POLISH WAS AN EXTRA $ 15.00. OPI Polish is only $ 10.00 for a whole bottle!
Not a «spa» at all. No recommendation here!!!

My wife visited here with her mother a while ago but forgot to finish the review. So I’ll finish it but keep in mind the review is a few months old and hopefully some things have changed. Very soothing music and atmosphere. Mother enjoyed herself greatly. The main services provided are massages. The have body waxing, manis and pedis. The lady doing the manis and pedis is very nice. My mother in law ended up getting a massage. So over all they had a good time but it’s a bit pricey and she wished that had a better set up for mani and pedis because they had to put there feet upon the worker since they did not use the pedicure chairs with a feet rest but regular leather chair with no feet rest. Also used a portable foot bath or a bucket with water (the kind you get from a store for do it yourself) so it had it’s fallbacks. Hopefully they update that area. But my wife mentioned she didn’t think manis and pedis were their main seller.

I have been under a lot of stress from work, so for Valentine’s Day my boyfriend got me a gift certificate from Better Living Day Spa for a deep tissue massage. The location is in a really cute location in midtown Tallahassee in a pretty small, independent building. The interior is not exactly spa like but its definitely cute and very clean. I got a 60 minute massage and it was soo relaxing, the ambience of the room was wonderful and the LMT wasn’t too rough or too light with her hands. Very happy with my experience and I would love to go back to try the hot rock massage! It was fairly busy when I went on a Saturday morning so I would definitely recommend making an appointment.

Visited here while on R&R from Iraq and it was a much needed stress reliever. Nice atmosphere and friendly service. I highly recommend.
