I have gotten food poisonings multiple times from this Denny’s, being toilet-locked and throwing up. The people who work there are rude to say the least and are EXTREMELY slow. It took an hour for them to make me an order of pancakes. Don’t go here, you are bound to get sick.

New management completely ruined the place last school year. It doesn’t even stay open all night any more, making the name questionable at best. They also changed their menu, removing quite a few options and refusing to allow people much leeway for customization. When I asked for a manager so I could comment on this, the guy essentially said that they were trying to be «more like Panera» and that I should be happy they’re making these changes. I walked out, mid-conversation, and haven’t been back since.

First time I check this place out was before the FSU/Miami game. I had just tried my first ever 4Loko’s and was a giggling fool. So… knowing I was a little inebriated… keeps me from giving 5 stars. But this place was great. So if you already have found a parking spot, why leave? Menu is basic and the same everywhere. But that staff make every experience an enjoyable experience. They give you great recommendations for the day. And they tell you corny jokes that you could only be laughing about because you are drunk.(I’m a tweeting drunk — so I keep good records). The food is good, location is ideal, and restaurant is clean and friendly. Can’t go wrong.

So I finally gave in and decided to give this new Denny’s a try after it replaced my beloved Park Avenue Diner(run by Aramark) this semester. Denny’s has pretty much the same 24 hour diner style and food selection. The only change seems to be the theme and layout of the place, which is a bit less«50’s retro» and more«small restaurant.» There is less counter or «bar» space and more regular tables, and a divider with large TVs has appeared in the middle of the room. The servers are very polite and prompt, although still a little inexperienced, and are still pretty much of the same ilk as last year, since any restaurant on campus is going to hire students. The first time I was here was in the late evening on a weekday, and the place was pretty crowded, which is typical for evenings on campus. It took a reasonable amount of time to get my food considering the crowd, and the food(a panini, I think) was good. The second time I went was earlier in the day on a weekend, and there were much fewer people. My burger came out surprisingly soon, and was quite delicious. Overall, this seems to be a good place to go if you are looking for a convenient dinner after the dining halls are closed or if you want to get breakfast at 3AM.
