Groupon. I asked the waitress what she liked the best and the response was the stuffed flounder. That is what the last waitress told me and I made the mistake of ordering it. Not this time! Boston chowder, fried pollock and shrimp with sides of cheese grits and green beans. Hubby ordered the same but with a crab cake and Cole slaw. Our waitress brought hubby’s lime so they get an extra star! Sometimes they forget. Now for the food. It was brought out within two minutes of my chowder. Save your money on the chowder — lots of potatoes and the soup part had a flour taste and not much cream of any. However they did take it off the bill when they saw it was mostly untouched. Green beans were canned but seasoned with bacon. Cole slaw– needed help. The cheese grits were the star of the day! Creamy, cheesy comfort food! But what about the seafood you might ask? I requested the shrimp lightly fried so they would not be overly done. They were perfect! The pollock was OK. The crab cake was horrible unless you like a lot of breading. It was gooey on the inside and not a very good flavor. I don’t think I’ll try this place again. Ps: it is closed now.

The price is really high for what you get. My grilled Mahi was really good, but served on pathetic rice. The green beans are from a can with added bacon, nothing special. Delicious hush puppies and fried green tomatoes. But for the price, I will have to pass.

Crystal River, though not the best seafood in town, is much better. The food here was badly seasoned and cooked. It was mostly tasteless and the mahi was dry. The gator tasted like more like gator McNuggets. Seafood bisque tasted like leftover scraps of mushed up seafood smothered with nacho cheese. The fries were the best part of the meal, but they were just generic fries. The waitresses were very inexperienced.
