On the 24th of April I went to lunch at this Panda Express that my wife and I go to very often. I ordered my food, went to the register to pay, showed the female my Veteran ID card to receive a 10% discount, payed the bill and that is when the following happened:(«I was first told, I don’t want this to offend you but do you even know what you are fighting for? You DONOT know what you are fighting for, you got Osama Bin Laden you got Saddam Hussein, Why are you still over there killing innocent women and children? Innocent women and children are being killed by you every day. I saw the video on the internet news that white caucasian soldiers were killing innocent black women & children. It is wrong and you are getting away with it.») I was so shocked by her rant that I could not even respond. As my blood boiled and the words that came out of her mouth I picked up my food and left. I kept my composure and did not cause a scene out of respect for the families with the little children and the establishment itself as her rant was none of their doing. I went to my next destination and then proceeded to call the Panda Express and inform the manager of what happened(who is also Army) and he was«Flabbergasted». I the called the corporate number and complained to them at the experience I just had with Gianna, one of their employees. I was informed that my complaint was being escalated and that they would send me $ 30.00 in vouchers to compensate for my experience. Should I decide to re-visit this Panda Express in the future and the Gianna is still employed, I will never go there again and will make one final call to the corporate office and plaster this experience all over their social media pages. It just amazes me the ignorance of people these days. For starters, I was never in the wars mentioned. My military time ended in 1999, further more the combat that I was involved in was during the Kosovo Conflict. But yet because I am a VETERAN I will be blamed with all of my brothers and sisters from ALL branches of the military.

The restaurant food is fine just like every other Panda, so im not complaining about the food but one employee that works here is always the rudest ever. I never have constant awful customer service and every single time I am here, she is never smiling, never kind, always rude and doesn’t care. She does not need to be fired but she does need to get her attitude straight. I don’t know her name but she is always on a head set and has glasses. Seriously, put a smile on your face, life is not as bad as you think it is. Either do something to make life more joyful, it is possible btw, or don’t. If you don’t, stop ruining people’s days with your sour, negative face.

I’ve been a fan of Panda Express and every franchise is different. I did noticed that this location was very clean and I was greeted when I entered the door. I did not noticed a lot of people having dinner but saw they had orders faxed in. There was not much selection for side dishes like brown fried rice or chow fun noodles. I only saw chow mein, fried rice, and white rice. I was expecting more vegetable dishes but they did have a lot of chicken dishes. One of the main dishes I choose was sweet fire chicken. It was too spicy. Other than that, they gave me generous portions. I would still go and visit for lunch.

Empty bowls really limit my options. I felt like I had to choose the best of what was left. There was only one cook working, and he looked very busy, so I do not blame the employees. The restaurant itself was pretty clean, and it was not busy at all. I don’t think I’ll be back to this location.

I arrived in the middle of a lunch rush. Cooks were busy but there were empty bowls. The cook said it was because they were not calling out orders fast enough but I think people weren’t ordering because they wanted to see what it looked like. The food looked extremely fresh and it was hot when it came out. Once again I ordered the kong pow chicken. This time there was a little kick to it. MUCH better. The crab rangoon was a cream cheese filled delight this time. My food was much better during this visit and the place was clean, tables promptly bussed. This is a nice fast food place!

Panda Express caters to the college crowd on Tennessee Street and does so pretty well. Since it is right next to Thai/Japanese-themed Mr. Roboto, this location suffers from the chain vs. local restaurant deal. Yes, Panada Express is supposed to be Chinese, but is as American as they come. This isn’t meant as an insult, just acknowledgement of reality. The service here is 50⁄50. Sometimes you get someone that’s quick to offer you a sample, and other times you get a blank stare as they person behind the counter is tapping their foot, awaiting your order. The food, as I mentioned before, is essentially a modern take on the American-ized Chinese food we’ve all grown up with. The most popular dish is the pick-2 or pick-3 entrée combos. Egg rolls, spring rolls, and other sides are optional. The seating is nice and there is always some authentic-sounding string/flute music pumping in the background. Despite their in-store advertising, I doubt there are actually pandas cooking in the kitchen. For a quick bite for a group, Panda Express is a win. The combinations make it easy for families or friends to get everything they want.
