Great food, served hot and fresh! And reasonable prices. Staff energy low but overall very satisfied

Simply put: service deserves one star and food three. Keep in mind that it was a group of 17 people who had made a reservation four days ahead so there was plenty of time for management to plan. We had only two servers, the same two that were also serving the entire left side and half of the center(how is that fair to the staff and customers? No idea). Needless to say that the service wasn’t the quickest nor best; it took me about 15 minutes before I could get a hold of the server to order my drink. To be fair, after we all ordered our food it came out in a promptly manner but in two sets at different times. My hubby’s salad was good and my wings were yummy, however, that drink that took me 15 minutes to order was HORRIBLE. The drink was supposed to be their version of the blue long island but it was tasteless and it had no alcohol(at least none that three of us could detect); it tasted like cough syrup. I don’t think I’ll be coming back to this location.

This was my first time coming to Red Elephant. I was really excited because I have had their catering before and loved it! They offer a chicken parmesan that will have your guest craving more but to my dismay they do not offer it on the daily menu(sad face). Since it was my first time I was surprised to see booth and table sitting with a whole bar in the back and a game room. I was having problems deciding on what to eat(because they didn’t offer the chicken parmesan!) so I asked my server for advice on what to order but she wasn’t very helpful and kept leaving me to decide on my own with minimal guidance. I finally landed on the chicken pasta. We started our meal with cheese fries and didn’t have silverware on our tables so we had to reach over and grab some from another table. There were two options for the cheese fries and the server just assumed we wanted the larger portion with out asking or clarifying what size we prefer. We ended the meal with the elephant ear which was super delicious but was it served with out plates so we had to use napkins as plates. We would have asked our server but she was no were to be found.

The Red Elephant is always on my «must-do» list when visiting home. Their menu is quite expansive and accommodates most dietary restrictions. I’ve had the cheese fries, hummus, pizza, wraps, salads, boiled peanuts, and elephant ears. My «go to» on my visits is the Rebecca’s Salad with grilled chicken and ranch. The cheese fries are a must for any cheese fry lover. Hint: this restaurant was opened in part by a former manager of a well known chain steak restaurant. The ranch and cheese fries are on par with that chain, and in my opinion are slightly better.

Had the hummus app, personal pizza and thanks to the excellent customer service, free desert. Our order was taking a little long due to large parties and the manager came out to offer a free desert to compensate. Our server was also very attentive despite working a large party. Thanks!

Red Elephant is a neighborhood haunt. I’ve been losing weight and trying to stay in Triathlon shape. It’s not health food, but their low calorie options are tasty. They’ve been very accommodating with things like adding chicken to the veggie pasta. Overall, there is usually something for whatever calorie count I need(from 450 to 1500) in that moment’s meal. Most of the dishes taste pretty good. They’ve done a lot of good for the community, hosting«share night» fundraisers for any number of local groups. It’s seldom a first choice for me, but certainly one that I don’t dread.

Wow! I haven’t reviewed Red Elephant before? Well, here goes…(I will say that family members are keeping me on a somewhat short leash here, so(dear reader) you may need to decode certain passages in the ensuing write-up.) I’m not going to review The Red Elephant as a pizzeria. Instead, I encourage you to read my on-point review of a local institution(Barnabys). I fully recognize that I risk an outright flame war if I don’t succumb to the de riguer idolatry bestowed upon Barnabys(and by extension, The Red Elephant) so I will say this: Both institutions play host to great family experiences that become cherished memories. Both place pizza at the center of their respective core competencies. Both have arcade game rooms. These three points make both places desired destination points for a host of celebrations. I know what you’re thinking: so does Chuck E. Cheese. Yes, BUT… Chuck E. Cheese tends to take the narrower path and focus on single-digit birthday parties(the occasional tween parties slip through) whereas you’re likely to see folks meeting for lunch and ordinary(sans event) dinner here. Also, Chuck E. Cheese doesn’t do the admirable annual sponsorship of little league baseball. Hats off to Red Elephant for that. To be clear. I’m not a hater. I get it that there are a bunch of folks that not only like this pizza — they LOVE it! That’s great. That’s just great… Here’s what I DO like, or find OK, at Red Elephant: The appetizers are what you’d find at ruby Tuesday’s, Applebee’s and the like. After all, there’s a finite number of app choices at places like this.(Loaded fries, various dips(spinach-artichoke/hummus, onion rings, garlic bread(you get the picture)). The various hamburgers. I consistently order a medium-rare patty. While seldom do I get a patty cooked less than medium-well, I overlook it because — well, I specifically ordered a burger and the others at the table are often enjoying their fare. The wings. I do like the wings. They’re not BW3 or Beef O’Bradys, but they’re decent. The sandwiches(here, we get to the crux of the matter(I see Red Elephant as a sandwich shop that also makes its special type of pizza)). Here, find usual suspects(French dip, BLT, club(here embellished and called a smokehouse grille) in addition to the Westshore Grinder(«from the west coasts of Italy AND Florida») and the grilled Mahi-Mahi sandwich. Finally — the wraps. I’ve only had one and I like it very much. The Mahi Taco Wrap is, in my opinion, the best option on the menu. My only pet peeve is that it’s billed as accompanied by Jugoso(that means«saucy») sauce. So… «Saucy Sauce». Ok, I know. That makes me a wee bit peevish… The Mahi Taco Wrap is a winner. In short: The Red Elephant is never my idea, but I’ve come to find options that I do enjoy so that when others want to come here, I know I’ll be OK.

I’ve come two other times and tried they’re burger and boneless wings. Wasn’t really impressed at all with their famous«bbq bacon burger». I say famous because everyone told me to try that because it was so dang good! But it tastes like any old burger with bbq drizzled on top and a few underdone pieces of bacon. The boneless wings sent to bad. You could compare them to hooter’s boneless wings at best. They have some good fries though! Since those two visits I expected nothing amazing when my girlfriend wanted to try their pizza. So we got a large half cheese, half pepperoni. The pizza crust wasn’t thoroughly cooked on the bottom. Pizza shouldn’t fall apart in your hand, especially when it’s cut into square pieces. The pizza sauce was mediocre and cheese burnt in various spots. The meat tastes well and the marinade on the side is good. A tad overwhelming in flavor so dip it into the sauce just a tad bit! I believe They brushed garlic butter over the crust on the pizza which helped s little bit. Over all not really impressed with red elephant. If you’re into averagely priced food and over priced pizza then come here!

We eat here all the time. Good service, good food and affordable. Family friendly for sure as they run kids specials and have games for the little ones. If you don’t know what to eat come here, as you will find something you’ll want to eat.

I come here one a week with my child after her class at Young Actor’s Theater. Food, such as it is, is never disappointing. She loves the cheese pizza and ceasar salad and we are out of there for about 15 bucks. Servers are really sweet.

Place is always so freaking noisy. Mediocre food. I gave it another try after more than a year. What was I thinking?

I just moved to Tallahassee from Texas and this was the first place my family here treated me out to as a welcome. I was not disappointed. First off, the atmosphere was perfect. It was relaxed and all the staff seemed happy, even though it was storming outside. Our waiter had to be the friendly person ever. When he heard it was my first time there he made good recommendations from across the menu. I ended up getting the Elephant Burger with fries and it was one of the most tastiest meals I have ever tasted. The burger meat had really good flavor and the fries were five stars. And my favorite thing is our waiter never let our cups go empty. The price was right, the customer service was amazing, and the food was fantastic. I can’t wait to visit again! Eating here was a great way to start off in a new city. (If your a fan of the review and found it useful, please compliment it so others can enjoy it too!)

As far as the burger here, I «thought» five guys in this area had it. So glad I took daughters suggestion and tried there. The fries dipped in their honey mustard– don’t get me started… And the staff are just the friendliest folks ever.

Got dinner to go while in town visiting friends. I had the Tuscan roast beef sandwich with fries. I was very pleased, and would eat here again.

First off, Red Elephant is a great local chain that is quickly expanding across the Florida panhandle. I’ve eaten at all the Tallahassee locations and there isn’t one that is better or worse in any way. The restaurant may advertise as a pizza place, but I’ve found the burgers and salads to be the best things on the menu. The steakhouse salad is delicious and filling but still very healthy. The BBQ bacon burger was big and cooked perfectly. I personally think the pizza is still really good, but it is a bit pricey for what you get. Service is always great with friendly hosts and servers. The restaurant does get very busy on most nights, but even when every table is full the service does not falter. Atmosphere is a mix of sports-bar and family-friendly, which actually turns out great. Overall a really great place to eat!

Favorite pizza in town! The lunch special is a salad, personal pizza, and drink. My favorite is pineapple pizza and the homemade ranch is delicious. The fries and sandwiches are also quite tasty. As well as their honeymustard. Service is always friendly, restaurant is clean, and and they have a game room for the kids too! And kids eat free on Tuesdays.

I appreciate that they fixed my sandwich but the fact that they sent the sandwich out as small as the breast was and tried to me that was normal. It was insulting… the manager says they weigh them. Ok — but why not say I’m sorry and not argue the point. Get a bigger breast or smaller bun to make it right. You don’t keep customers when you say«this is the normal size»

I think the Red Elephant’s problem is that it thinks it’s a pizza restaurant. And from the other reviews I’ve read, the pizza is just ok and overpriced. I hate overpaying for so so food. I have never gotten the pizza and maybe that’s why I like this place. The loaded cheese fries were average. But the southwest chicken wrap was very good. I like their French fries — thick and crispy. The roast beef dip was also pretty average but the spinach artichoke dip with pita bread was the best spinach dip I’ve had in awhile. Kids eat free on Tuesday. My husband got four beers for $ 5.70. They were really small but that’s still cheap. All the food was reasonably priced under $ 10. Our server was very attentive and courteous. Ultimately it’s a great place for the price.
