Clean place with good and quick service. Quaint décor that does not reflect the Bustling traffic feet away from its doors at the Ocala and Tennessee intersection. Outdoor seating available but why when you can admire the cool décor inside! Lot of available menu options including seasonal juices like Passion Fruit offered in water or milk(3.00 for water based). A whole section of the menu is Veggie options, another is Arepas, and another is appetizers/sides. Oh and bring the kiddos because they even have a Kids menu. Main entrée dishes come with beans and rice plus 3 sides including salad, sweet plantains, tostones, or fried yucca. You can sub sides as you see fit, ex sub your salad for some fried yucca. Carb up! Food was delicious, perfect homesick remedy. Closest I’ll get in Tallahassee, I wager. Great beans, Maduros/sweet plantains perfectly cooked AND the same could be said for the fried yucca. They have to-go too so… this will be perfect for a chill meal here or there.

Came here last night with my roommate. The place was packed, which is always a good sign in my opinion! There was only one waiter and he was very busy so we had to wait a little while for our menus, but the food came out really quick once we ordered. I got the veggie plate with rice, beans, salad, and tostones. Oh, my God. The beans and tostones were the best I have EVER had! Super flavorful. The ambience inside was really nice once you got past the restaurant’s kind of awkward location. Definitely check it out — I am excited to come back and try something else from the menu!

The definition of disappointment… I don’t even know where to begin. For starters, one star is the minimum rating available, but I’d rate it less if I could. NOT authentic Colombian food by any means– lacks flavor and is very overpriced for what it is. As a Hispanic longing for Latin food in the Tally area, I regretted eating here after my first few bites. The ‘chimichurri’ sauce served with the Churrasco(skirt) steak was actually pesto, there’s no excuse for that. That’s false advertising and taking no pride in what you serve. The ‘maduros’ were bland and weren’t even ripe. The empanadas had absolutely no taste. If you’re looking to overpay for for a bad attempt at Colombian food, give it a shot. Otherwise, keep on driving past this place.

I love Super Perros and I’m kicking myself that I never ate there when I was college and living right around the corner from the place. Someone told me it was ‘Columbian Hot Dogs’, so I never gave the place a shot until many years later when I discovered that Super Perros is much more than crazy hot dogs! My favorite dish is the«Godzilla». It is built like a burrito has meat, beans, and peppers, and then gets fried. It’s served with a little lettuce, tomato, and sour cream, and a crispy tostone! They have some kind of spicy onion relish/salsa condiment that is divine with the Godzilla. Make sure you ask for it if they don’t bring it to you!

I’ve been to this place various times during my college days. I was visiting Tallahassee and met with some friends here since they know I love Colombian food.(Its listed as my last meal on Earth haha) This influences my review, and I still think you should try this place out. To me this place gets 3 stars in Tallahassee… but definitively way less in Miami, or Elizabeth, NJ or in other concentration of the Colombian diaspora. Why is a Colombian restaurant serving burritos and gyros? O_o I’d have no problem with this if their Colombian dishes were made with all the ingredients(i.e Bandeja Paisa without avocado and chicharron. :’() and if their arepas were not served cold. Fun fact: What in Super Perros they call the Colombian style hot dogs, in Colombia they are called American style hotdogs. I find that amusing. Anyway, The restaurant is homey, and the service and range from great, to not that attentive. This is not the fault of the servers! This is more an issue with overcrowding and the poor servers extending themselves as far as they can. They try their best, but I’ve been there when it is a full restaurant and there is literally one or 2 servers. They all have been really nice. A thing that is really authentic are the HOTDOGS, yes, that is how hot dogs are in Colombia, though you would get them from a street vendor(with potato chips and pineapple sauce) and pink sauce! I’m instantly transported to my childhood: D Also, the rice! I LOVE their rice. That is authentic Colombian rice. I’ve tried my best to replicate that flavor, but I’ve failed. It is really that good. The bathrooms are SUPER clean. Always a plus! I like this place, but everytime I’ve gotten their arepas, they are cold, plain and taste prefabricated — Why you do this Super Perros? ;’(You are breaking my heart. Haha. Anyway, Colombian food is awesome, this place is not the most authentic, but is nice and the food is cheap and the rice is addictive! Try it! :D

This place is a MUSTHAVE every single time I step foot in Tallahassee. The parillada is one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. This place gets overlooked in Tallahassee a lot, I’m sure for it’s outside appearance but don’t judge a book by its cover.

It’s the place you always drive past but unsure of what it is. If you don’t let the building look throw you off(just because it’s not your typical restaurant appearance) it’s actually really good! Delicious food cooked from the soul. And it’s all under $ 10.

Always out of something. Food is usually good but I getting tired of going with my hopes high and having them crushed when I hear the words, «oh we are out of that». Just order the stuff you need why don’t ya!

I recently moved from Miami to Tallahassee and being from Miami I was sorta skeptical of a Hispanic restaurant being up here. I decided to give it a try and I ordered a Bandeja Paisa. Needless to say that off the bat the steak was not appetizing it looked like a piece of cardboard. The rice and beans were pretty good and the chorizo had to be the best piece off the plate. Being hispanic from Miami it was disappointing, I’ve had a better Bandeja Paisa.

Having worked here for a month or so. I drove by this place a couple of times a day. I came back for more work today and stopped in. The place is not easy to miss for the colors of the outside. I walked in the the place is easier on the eyes with the colors toned down a bit. The young lady behind the counter instructed me to sit anywhere and she will be right over. That she was and I ordered my drink. I looked over the very large menu and went with the Godzilla. It sounded good with some marinated chicken with onions, peppers, and rice and a tostones. Well the dish was huge in size but not so much on flavor. It was a tortilla type of pastry that was fried with chicken onions, peppers and beans. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish but it was pretty bad. The chicken was way over done almost hard. The beans, onions, and peppers were pretty tasty. The tastiness were also really hard and hard to break off a piece to try. The rice was rice. White and scooped into a cup and dropped on the plate. I really don’t know if I;ll be back but it was worth the try.

So while on a road trip we stopped in Tallahassee and we decided to try the restaurant and boy were we disappointed. I am from Colombia and the dishes served at this restaurant are not a good representation of Colombian food, as the average dish you would have in the country is way better than what you get here. This restaurant serves average or below average food, but if you are looking to have a truly good experience of Colombian food please look elsewhere.

Holy rice! Seriously! I came for lunch and ordered Pollo Encebollada and it came with tater tots, salad, beans and enough(delicious) white rice to feed two. Maybe three. That said — it was good! For $ 9 I could have taken home a second meal with leftovers. Décor is very homey, but not in a yuck diner way. Clean and an authentic vibe. Tater tots were average, go for yuca, tostones or plantains instead.

As a colombian, it was underwhelming. I may be biased since I have had«Colombian» style perros in medellin for dirt cheap. Not to the deter everyone’s fascination with it, but I have seen more excessive toppings even in Colombian restaurants in Miami. The second time I went there, i tried there pollo asado plate and it was lackluster. The chicken was alright but the beans were simply reheated Goya beans and so-so rice. Super Perros caters best in reference to it’s name– extravagant hot dogs and burgers. They should offer combo meals with chips/fries because 3 dollars for just a hot dog is not a good deal. I wouldn’t even bother with the Bandeja Paisa.

Been wanting to try this place for two years, finally got around to it – and my wife keeps saying, «Why did we wait so long?!?» Came in at 9pm(they close at 9:30), but haven’t felt rushed and our server has been amazing! I got a steak dish and she got a pork dish — both amazing! We’ll be back!

The Columbian hole-on-the-street resembles the Florida Turnpike pit stop, Yeehaw Junction. The exterior bounces off Tennessee Street, sticking out like a sore thumb, yet often disregarded by nearby locals and heavy traffic. Externally, it’s decorated in the colors of the Columbian flag: red, yellow and blue. Additionally, large lettering and putt-putt walkways tie it all tackily together. Why wouldn’t you expect to find outrageous eats at a place like this? Now Chile Relleno’s aren’t Columbian, but since I missed out on Cinco de Mayo festivities, the craving was tangibly present. Once I spotted its physique on the menu there was no turning back. Super Perros take on the Mexican staple was unique and frankly delicious. The stuffed Poblano was savory, hearty and rich in flavor. Served with beans, sweet plantains and some of the best damn white rice I can recall, I experienced nirvana at Super Perros. My next visit will include a more authentic, Columbian meal. I really enjoyed the homie décor. I’ve never been to a restaurant where the straws are situated at the table. Figured I’d throw that fun fact in here. Ultimately, you should stop passing by Super Perros to inhale a joyous meal.

I do not recommend this place whatsoever. My Girlfriend and I ordered a bandeja paisa, fries, and Colombian burger. The food was so Americanized, bland, and undercooked. The fries were as pale as a full moon in pitch black darkness. The burger lacked in taste and was just a hot mess. The bandeja paisa was huge, but the chicharrones was a disgrace. Looked like someone just put in a blob of fat in the fryer. The service was okay, and the décor of the place seemed very authentic, but in terms of food, it needs A LOT of work.

It’s hard to be engaged to a Colombian woman and know this is all Tallahassee has to offer for Colombian food. I must admit I haven’t tried their hotdogs, but their Colombian fare leaves a lot wanting. I’ve eaten authentic Colombian food in south Florida and in Tampa, and Super Perros falls at the far end of bad. When their name references dogs, it’s not hard to see that the hotdog is probably going to be their specialty. The chicharrón were dry, cold, and hard. Not good. The patacón(tostones to most Floridians) were mushy. I make better at home, and for a lot cheaper. I would be willing to try their hotdogs if a friend gave me one, but I cannot bring myself to support the degradation of Colombian cuisine in such a manner. The sole high point was the ahí, the salsa, but there’s taco trucks in town that do better. The location is across from the Publix near FSU campus, and diagonal from Heritage Grove. If you’re familiar with Tallahassee geography, that alone should suggest that the dilapidated building housing Super Perros is solely supported by the dollars of drunk frat boys and college students with less taste than a dried-out, unseasoned piece of tilapia. I can’t give Super Perros a single star because I have not tried enough of their menu, but they deserve less for their take on Colombian food. It’s a student place, cheap and lacking in flavor. I’m sure they want to offer good-quality, authentic Colombian food, but at the moment, they don’t.

Real Colombian food! The chicharrones looked like they should(everyone who has been to Colombia knows that chicharrones are NOT pork rinds, as the potato chip companies like to label them). The arepas tasted like home, the aji was spot-on, and the patacones(fried plantains) were delish. Oh, did I mention the empanadas? We ordered the empanadas Argentinas and Colombianas. Again, perfect. The Argentinian empanadas were baked in dough, while the Colombian empanadas were deep fried in corn masa. They even offer Colombiana and Postobon sodas, to boot. Although it appears to be more geared towards hot dogs and hamburgers(hence, Super Perros), the traditional menu also kicks culo. I’ll be back… many, many times.
