NOPHOFORME! HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE! NOCHILDRENWANTED! My family went here two days after it opened and found: 1. no children’s menu, 2. two teenagers behind the counter who told us «order a full meal» and«I didn’t make the menu», 3. the owner refused to come out to speak with us after we asked one employee to get her, and 4. a second request to speak with the owner was met with«she said you will have to wait 10 minutes.» So… «NOPHOFORME!» We will post everywhere in social media and tell all of our friends AND the hundreds of students and employees we see regularly to GOELSEWHERE. This will be an excellent example to teach other businesses how to ruin their reputation in the first two days of business.

Tasty Eats is transforming into Phở Me! Vietnamese Noodle Bar. They’ll be open on Wednesday, September 10th at 2320 Apalachee Parkway. The restaurant will feature several Vietnamese soups, including the famous phở, spicy beef and mi quang(pork noodle soup) served at the Tasty Eats location.

Lovely little place near FSU campus in a red caboose! Kids had rice bowls, I had greek chicken. All delicious. Family run place, nice garden in back which I’m sure is wonderful in good weather.

I originally found this place on Unilocal when I was looking for other available options. I’m glad I came across it. The address was weird and I was afraid that I’d have an issue finding it. Look out for the bright red train. But that won’t help much because everything around there is covered with bright colors and drawings on the wall since it’s in the middle of the industrial railroad art park. They have a great garden outside on a nice day w park benches and limited seating inside. Beer and sodas are available. I’m never around when Friday comes since I’m headed home already but hopefully I get to have their Friday Phos one day. The house rice bowl is always my favorite. It gives you some beef and some shrimp thrown on top of rice and veggies. I was tempted to go for the dry noodles this time but I still had to go back to the house bowl! The Nutella donuts are a great treat to end your meal. They even have shepherds pie which is unusual. There is no rhyme or reason for their menu(after the Vietnamese section) but it has a little everything so check it out before you head over. They take visa and mastercards via square :)

A bit out of the way location, but if you are shoppng for artsy finds on Industrial Drive, then check them out. Very tasty spring rolls with hot mayo! I also tried the Bourbon Chicken, hashbrown casserole and green beens. Very good stuff. The service was a bit loose, however. Had to wait a while to get our entrees and also had to ask for the check. My coworkers recommend Phở Friday, too.

This«funky» place has a surprisingly high review rating, but very few reviews. Always a red flag, IMHO. I had the shepherds pie — barely edible. Friends had Vietnamese dishes, again, barely edible. The three of us will never return. Although I am not a beer drinker, for a beer garden, very few beers on offer. Although the noise level is low, that is only until the band starts up.

Kind of out of the way in Railroad Square, but I’m very glad I finally got around to visiting. Thanks to Unilocal,I knew that Friday was probably their most popular day, as that is when they serve their phở, a traditional Vietnamese noodle dish. I had the phở with rare beef, sitting in a very generous bowl full of noodles and a very complex broth. It was my first time having phở, but besides being very filling, it was also very tasty! I also got a chance to try their spring rolls, about $ 3 for two of them, and truly, they were probably the freshest and tastiest spring rolls I’ve ever had from a restaurant. For beverages Tasty Eats offers sweet tea, canned soft drinks, and a few bottled beers to cater to the hipster crowd that frequents the Square. Service was friendly. There was a nice outside area to eat, like a covered pavilion, and a stage that frequently features live music. There were also a couple of tables inside. This is an order-at-the-counter kind of place, where they bring your food and bus your table for you. The kitchen area is built into an old caboose, which really adds a touch of whimsy to the experience, and is very appropriate for the location. Finally, the staff was friendly. And they accept cards via the little iPad square. So, the bottom line is that I absolutely recommend stopping by and trying this unique eatery — come on Friday and bring $ 7.99 plus tax for the phở. And don’t worry, if rare beef scares you, there’s a roast chicken option!

I honestly cannot believe how amazing this place is. Tasty, what an understatement. I love the flavor combinations– so clever, so delicious. Reasonably priced. Friendliest staff. Just, wonderful. What a Tallahassee gem. I sincerely regret not discovering them sooner. Try the noodle bowl. Fantastic.

If you are lucky enough to be there on Friday get the phở. Delicious and a serving big enough to swim in. The bourbon chicken and meat offerings are very good too. And grab a spring roll as a starter. Tasty also offers a frequent diner loyalty program too that makes it even more budget friendly. There is entertainment outside from time to time with varying degrees of talent.

It’s a pretty cute place with good food. The owners are actually Vietnamese which kinda surprised me cause they only did phở on Fridays. But, that still means real vietnamese food. Friendly people. If people were to ask me about this place i would say, «It’s good. I liked it»

Went there for Phở on Friday and it was good! Location is neat. Also ordered the summer rolls and the curry chicken — both were good. The curry chicken was a bit dry and the string beans didn’t have as much flavor as I would like, but we would definitely come back and try something else. Wish they would serve Phở on more than just Friday.

I have never regretted a meal here. There’s a huge amount of variety on the menu and everything I’ve had has wowed me. They have phở on Fridays. You can smell it as you’re walking up to the restaurant and the smell alone makes me ravenously hungry. The broth for the phở is great. Different than what I usually like, but still great. The shrimp poboy is the best poboy I’ve had in town, but don’t order it thinking it’s a bahn me sandwich. Lots of other great dishes but those would be at the top of my list.

I’ve heard whispers about this place and I finally had time to stop by during my last Tally visit. Found in the art district called Railroad Square, this humble restaurant specializes in Vietnamese cuisine although the menu has an array of Asian inspired items. I came in with a friend and we started off with the spicy hummus, which I found to be unique yet simple. It’s your traditional hummus(store bought) that is drizzled with sesame oil(instead of olive oil) and sriracha hot chili sauce. Something I wish I had thought of… and will probably start doing that at home now. We happened to come on a Friday and, fortuitously, they only serve Phở on Fridays. At that point, it was a no-brainer. I had to try the Phở since they only serve it one day a week. The Phở was quite good and the broth had a great depth of flavor. The sliced beef was tender and cooked perfectly. The«beer garden» has a decent selection of imports and micro-brews. Great service, great food, and good beer offerings… what more can you ask for?

Over the past few years, I’ve watched many a restaurant pass through the bright red caboose that sits in the corner of Railroad Square, on the way to the Tallahassee Rock Gym. Since the demise of Starsea’s Café, there have been many failed attempts at creating a successful(and tasty) eatery to feed the hungry patrons of the square — until Tasty Eats. This is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Tallahassee. Aside from being a stone’s throw from my second home, Tally Rock Gym, it’s also charming, tantalizing, and offers the friendly, casual atmosphere that Railroad Square is known for. My favorite dish is the sweet and spicy tempeh — with jasmine rice and green beans on the side, yum. The fresh tempeh is slathered in an unbelievable sauce that has you on the verge of licking your plate once you’re out of green beans to soak it up with. I made the mistake of sharing my first plate of this goodness with my boyfriend, and we spent the entire meal shoveling our face trying to eat more than the other person. I learned very quickly that Tasty Eats is not sharable — you’ll want it all for yourself. They also offer a selection of unique, imported beer — and on Fridays, you can gorge yourself with a steaming bowl of phở. These folks are the reason I would pick a local eatery over a chain restaurant any day. Fresh, tasty, creative cuisine, mmm. Relax at one of the picnic tables in their quaint outdoor area, kick back with a cold beer, and dig in.

My buddy and I were rolling through Tallahassee on a road-trip of the south when we came upon this charming little place. The first thing that attracted me was the caboose that houses the kitchen. There is a beer-garden area on the lawn decorated and illuminated with strings of lights. The dining area is a handful of tables and chairs. The menu is a combination of Vietnamese dishes and an eclectic sampling of vegetarian and Western dishes. I had the caramelized pork with hummus and french fries. A weird combo I know but I chose these items so don’t blame the proprietor. As weird as the combo was the items were DELICIOUS. Best caramelized pork I’ve ever eaten, and I’ve eaten lots. The hummus is drizzled with sesame oil which is a brilliant flavor addition. It adds a smokey quality that is pure taste heaven. The fries are crinkly!!! Loves those from my high school cafeteria days. The owner/chef mans the register and helps in the kitchen. This is a small super-friendly team that does everything perfectly. One of my best moments in Florida.

Great food at a great place to hang. While listening to a full lineup of bands last Friday, we had the spring rolls, hummus and sliders. All were great, but the sliders will haunt me for a long time — quite possibly the best chicken I’ve ever had. The menu is crazy diverse — there is definitely something for everyone — and I can’t wait to go back and try some of their other dishes.
