I have tried almost all of their appetizers but I’ve never tried their burgers or sandwiches. I’ve had the pulled pork tots multiple times and have loved them every time! Their tuber fritters are also great. I liked the mini corn dogs they came with a good sauce. The wings were all right, nothing special. The peanut butter jelly and milk shots are a great thing to finish off with and if you’re looking for an even bigger dessert the chocolate cake is amazing! All the food is very tasty! They also have a good selection of draft beers.

I came here while visiting during Homecoming weekend. We used to come here when it was Po Boys! We had a pretty good sized group and sat the on back patio. I loved the beer selection and if you order a beer that comes in a can, you get to keep the coozie! Woo hoo! I ordered some kind of pork sandwich that was really good and the mac & cheese. Nice atmosphere, good drinks, & friendly service!

I was really pleased with the selection on this menu. It offers daily southern food specials, awesome appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and more. The service was speedy… we received our food shortly after ordering. The server was helpful, energetic and polite. We started with the Nacho tots which came with pulled pork, cheese, salsa, and black olives loaded on top of crunchy tater tots. These were awesome but way too filling/heavy for just 2 people! This would be great to share between a few people or could easily be its own meal. I tried the signature Tucker Duke burger. The menu notes that you cannot make any change to the burger and they weren’t kidding. I wasn’t allowed to add bacon. The burger itself was incredible, but the Tucker sauce on it tasted like a gross combination of mayo and ketchup(Big Mac style). However, if it weren’t for that sauce I would claim it to be one of the best in Tallahassee. This was my first visit but probably not my last. I’m definitely eager to try some of the other options. Also, do not underestimate the size of these burgers. I split mine into two meals! For this reason, they don’t serve the burgers with any sides. Although the list of sides all looked awesome, they could only be added for $ 3.

Great burgers and sides. Bring someone to share your food with or plan in only eating once that day when you eat here. You’ll want to clean your plate trust me.

First time this evening. Awesome music selections. Set a nice mood. Caught the Happy Hour prices for my well Bourbon. George Dickel. Very nice. My companion, however, was not told her red wine was at the inflated price of $ 11 bucks a glass. Major oversight, on both the waitress and companions part. Whodathunkit? The sandwich choice tonight was a chicken sandwich with bacon and ranch. Sounds, oh, so simple I am sure many over look selecting it. Huge mistake. It could put Chic filet and Zaxby’s and Lindy’s out of the chicken sandwich business! Clucking awesomeness on a perfect onion roll. It got me. I will be back for their spectacular sounding brunch. Update: what a «friction fire» started, investors finished. This was a quick kill, even for Tallahassee. Too bad.

The food portions are certainly impressive. Check– in on Unilocal for a discount! This is not a good place for anyone with small children since no strollers are allowed. It’s winter and while outside seating is available the space heaters were all turned off in a corner — which makes seating outside pretty impossible if you want an enjoyable experience. I really wanted to try this place! Unfortunately, you cannot modify the Tucker Duke burger which was the one I really wanted. I can’t have one of the burger toppings, but unfortunately they would not modify it(Not sure why they just couldn’t just make the burger without that topping… but apparently they have certain«rules»…i.e «no whining» «no strollers» «won’t modify the burger» etc…) Apparently it is also hard to have them accommodate lactose intolerant clients that request no cheese. So if you have any allergies… I’d suggest you call ahead to see if they can accommodate you so you aren’t disappointed and waste you trip. So I had to settle for a blue plate. I had a fried cod with a side of sweet potato fries. MY bf had a Tucker Duke(I obviously was very envious. humph! haha) and a side of MAc and Cheese. I would not recommend the Beer battered fried cod(blue plates) It was super greasy and all the breading falls apart at once from the fish when you start to eat it… which kind of defeats the purpose of breading. The sweet potato fries were amazing! Sides are large enough to share! Very big: D which is nice. I had a piece of the meat of the Tucker Duke burger and it was delicious, and I’m still bummed I could not have the burger. They are certainly large and have a knife stuck inside holding the whole thing together. It was cooked at the requested temperature, and while they are hard to eat and messy my bf really enjoyed it. The Mac and Cheese was also delicious and creamy! The décor is very nice, a combination of wood and steel. The service was very nice and the food takes a while(Which I don’t mind since they are a gourmet burger joint) but if you are in a hurry or have a very limited time for lunch, it might be tight.

Love this place! The food is super creative and worth the wait, which at times can be a while, the beers are all cold and craft mainly from Florida and all from the USA. Give it a try you will see this place is a 44 magnum in a city of 22!

Great local beer selection. I ordered the sliders and chips. The sliders were super delicious and I would order them again. The chips were homemade, but they were just average. I would like to try a different side next time I go. I went with a friend and she ordered the sweet potato fries. She said they were very good. I love the local, laid back feel, and I will be returning!

Great food and beer menu. Highly recommend the«el Pedro» burger. This place is great for hanging out and having a conversation with friends and family. The staff will not come to you if you have your phone out and use it. There are signs posted«no cellphones». Forces your college student to talk to you!!! Love it!

Looks like Tallahassee has some pretty good gourmet burger joints, and even though Tucker Duke’s has only been open a few months, they really know what they are doing. Just take any diet you are currently on and shelve it temporarily when walking through the door. We started off with Reuben Fritters. That’s right you heard me… chopped up corned beef, sauerkraut, and swiss cheese, breaded and deep fried until the inside is all melty and the outside is nice and crunchy. It’s like Jewish hushpuppies. They were perfectly fried golden brown. The breading was awesome. They were served with a side of what they call Tucker Sauce. This is like a cajun remoulade. I think if I were to have these again I would ask for a deli mustard to go with. Also the corned beef could have been a little saltier to hold up against the rest of the filling. But I nitpick, they were pretty darn good and I love the idea. 4 stars The Smoked Chicken Wings, are a don’t miss appetizer. They are hickory smoked on premises and served with a sriracha ranch dressing. I would have been happy just munching on these all day. They don’t need any sauce really as the smokey chicken had all the flavor you need. 5 stars And lastly the burger. I went with the Mondragon. There’s nothing too crazy or exotic about this burger, just good ingredients and lots of them piled high. Nothing wrong with that. Start with a half pound of tasty ground beef, top it with 6 slices of smokey bacon, 2 slices of cheddar, 2 slices of American cheese, a fried egg with the yolk perfectly runny and white fully cooked, mixed greens, tomato, and tucker sauce. It said it was on a crunch bun, but it looked like just a regular onion roll to me. While I never put it down after the initial pick up, it held together well. The bacon was excellent and perfectly cooked. My only complaint was that the cheese should have been melted more. Since there was 4 slices of cheese, in the center it wasn’t melted at all. You can’t care too much about a minor misstep, while basking in dripping egg yolk and bacon all over your burger. The burger itself wasn’t forgotten and was nicely seasoned and juicy. Even with the unmelted cheese, it’s hard for me not to give this burger 5 stars. One side note, while everyone was nice, I couldn’t help but notice the«No Stroller» sign as one other Unilocaler commented. If indeed they enforce that rule, it’s not cool. I’m from Los Angeles, where we have a hipster burger style place on every corner. None of them would ever tell a customer with a stroller they aren’t welcome. I’m guessing that it’s a joke, as it does say on the menu they aren’t politically correct. After all their ‘lighten up’ rule, must go both ways. It’s just a burger place, not Spago.

This is the best and hottest restaurant in tally. The food is creative and delicious. I would recommend the pork banh mi sandwich. Hosin and pork belly on a roll. My mouth is still watering. Don’t forget to order the pastrami fritters. Out of this work yummy

My fiancée and I just stopped here today after seeing that this place was new and had some good beers and burgers. Though it had mixed reviews so far on Unilocal,I thought our lunch there was very good, with great wait staff and not a long wait which other reviewers had mentioned. We were not too concerned about the price given the quantity and quality of food. We sat outside which had a nice breeze but not the best of views(parking garage) but that can’t be helped. We ordered a couple beers off their extensive beer list where it was nice to see several Florida brewery’s on. They were both delicious too. For the food, my fiancée ordered the Fido and I ordered the Bash 2.0. We also got sweet potato waffle fries too. Both burgers were really good and cooked to perfection with a nice crispy char to it. The only thing I’d recommend is putting the burgers on larger plates as opposed to cutting boards(cuts down on mess and clean up afterwards). The side was good and there were tons of fries to split. At the end, our waitress and manager honored the 10% discount for doing the Unilocal check-in without any hassle. That was very helpful so I’d recommend those visiting for the first time to do the same. Overall, if you like good burgers and beer, I’d recommend stopping by to try this place out and maybe put it on your list of favorites in Tally like we’re planning.

Maple & Bacon Popcorn and Reuben Fritters and that’s just for starters. We were in Tallahassee for the night in between hiking the Leon Sinks and St Mark’s. we were very hungry. So our waitress was new. Really new, we liked her but they would have lost a star if the rest of the staff weren’t so attentive. We asked a question about a sauce, she said she didn’t know the answer and mentioned that she had to pass a menu test so it was surprising that she couldn’t remember. she never got back to us on that one. we also asked about several other items on the menu, but she confessed that she hadn’t tried any of them. The menu indicates that you might get some attitude from the staff, we are completely cool with that, but based on her apologies. I don’t think that’s what was happening. OK, so that aside, they were ALL over us with service. we had people constantly stopping by our table and checking on us. So, we felt well cared for. The food was fantastic. not just good. I would seek this place out again. We also liked the vibe, it was fun place to eat and watch people. It seems like they get a lot of people from the University and that adds to the ambience. Back to those appetizers: Popcorn with maple syrup, butter and bacon for $ 5. it was delicious. Reuben Fritters… OMG these were absolute bites of heaven! I loved them. I had the Mondragon Burger. A big ass burger with a fried egg, a couple of slices of cheese and six slices of bacon. I hate to use the word epic. so just use your own superlative in it’s place. I had mine served with tots. Yum! Lisa had the Brisket, it was terrific. served over potatoes and with a horseradish? sauce. The beef was tender, not too fatty, smokey and the sauce delicious. I wish they were in Illinois.

Went about 3 weeks after it open for lunch at 1 o’clock. Seating was quick and we had a wonderful waitress. Food was good but we had some temperature issues(cold chicken tenders, but were replaced quickly and without fuss) Your burger doesn’t come with fries which is a bummer but the burger is big if a bit pricey! Best bet for value is the blue plate special. Wish they delivered downtown, but oh well. Will go back

Went to Tucker Duke’s for lunch. It was pretty new(I think it was only open for a week or so). Was impressed withWe were seated really quickly for how packed lunch was. The waitress took and our order quickly and for it being lunch our food came out fast. The remodel of the old poboys was nice also. The shocker was the prices of the burgers. Get ready to pay at least $ 11 for burger and fries. I got water so I couldn’t imagine buying a drink. I figured I would try the mondragon $ 12, sweet potato fries $ 3, water, then tip(20%). $ 18…for lunch. Ok, I could have had the $ 8 burger, $ 3 fries, still $ 13 with tip. That’s an expensive lunch. Nice place but expensive. Didn’t try the sandwiches. The price of the burger alone would keep me from going back. Good luck.

First official day open — well staffed and packed for lunch. We(five-top) were first seated at a little before noon and it filled quickly afterwards. Good ambiance(rough hewn wood paneling /PNW feel with a touch of Urbana. Great burger(steakhouse) — mashed potatoes and collard greens were right on. Medium rare burger ordered and relieved. Seating layout may become problematic and I suspect they might reconfigure the tables in the center. Great location. TLH is certainly upping its burger game! This is a dog friendly joint — and the outside deck is very welcoming to that end. One last thing — our server(Mike D.) did a great job and made sure we were taken care of).
