Sadly all these reviews are accurate of this location. I have visited the Tallahassee location many times since living here and EVERYTIME there seems to be a NUMBER of products missing and out of stock! I have asked and inquired about when they will restock and get no real answer. Even worse, there is no other location within 60 miles! Someone at corporate needs to address this!!! It has gotten so bad that the shelves are actually empty in many areas. Shampoos, hair care, and more, makeup brands such as NYX, Ulta brands, etc etc. I’ve always been satisfied with every Ulta I’ve ever been in but this one is horrible! Please do something about it! :(

I dislike leaving negative reviews, but I feel something needs to be said. I love Ulta as a company but I cannot shop at this store. It’s unfortunate that this is the only Ulta in Tally. Every time I go into this store, it’s messy and not stocked well. It’s difficult to find employees when you need help, and whenever I ask for help, I am met with rudeness and attitude. Simple questions such as where products are located are met with eye rolling and other unprofessional behavior. Additionally, there’s always a huge line at the checkout because they have ONE person working the register when 10+ people are in line. Who on earth thinks this is a good idea? I refuse to shop at this store. If I need a product from a brand that’s exclusively carried by Ulta, I’ll shop online.

I have to say I do not enjoy giving bad reviews because it only takes one person to destroy an impression and I’m completely understanding of bad days, but I’ve had to come here several times when I needed products for a job last minute and it was too late for me to order thru my accounts. The worst Ulta in any city I’ve been to. Rude and lazy employees, it appears like they went through Tammy Faye’s School of Make Up and nothing is stocked. When I was checking out last time, I asked a question regarding a current promotion and the girl at the checkout looked at me as if I had two heads and was pissed at one of them. The store itself looks as if a hurricane went thru. I believe it’s right up there with Sally’s and the public’s misrepresentation view of trained employees. Since I travel a lot it looks like I’ll wait to purchase anything from an Ulta until I get to other locations. If its last min., I’ll just hit Sephora and thank goodness for Amazon prime now. It’s a shame considering the corporate concept was not intended for this to happen when coming to this city. I’ve heard their training is great, but something happened here. I feel sorry for anyone needing true product consultations that come to this location and expect help. I’m blaming the management. There’s no reason for the madness to continue like this if it hadn’t trickled down or set the tone.

This ULTA is fantastic, so clean, staff is always attentive and helpful! Love the benefit brow bar, it’s so great to have such a luxury service offered in Tallahassee!

I have to agree that this Ulta is pretty terrible! And sadly it’s the only Ulta in TLH. Came here a couple of times and left empty handed. First of all nothing I need is ever in stock. That’s very frustrating. Secondly, you are pretty much on your own and employees never help you unless you go hunt someone down. I never buy prestige brands from Ulta anyways b/c Sephora is my best friend for that. The only reason I come here is because of the coupons I regularly receive from them. Now even with that, I have to reconsider because coming here is such a waste of time. And we all know time is money so Ulta if you don’t get your act together I won’t return to this particular location anytime soon!

I got my hair cut by Marie and she totally butchered it. I have thick hair. In this humidity, I need to get it thinned out or else it never dries. She attempted to thin my hair out by going to the midsection of my hair an running the scissors from my roots… That is a horrible technique and makes your hair grow back funny. As for the layers, they are extremely choppy and lopsided. I can’t even get it corrected unless I want to cut my hair to my chin. Honestly the most upsetting hair cut I have ever gotten. I know not every stylist here is that bad. I have a friend that gets her hair done by Ashley and it always turns out great. My best tip is to ask Ulta the experience level of your stylist before booking an appointment.

Absolutely RUDE employees. I was in the store for an hour and was never asked if I needed assistance or greeted or anything. One would think since they work on commission that the workers would aim to be helpful. These employees did quite the opposite. When I would walk anywhere near them they would pretend they didn’t see me and whisper to each other or walk away. Do not go here if you want to be treated with any respect or need any help. I finally had to go up to the person at the checkout counter who was still terribly standoffish and rude. I would suggest investing in and training employees who do not act like catty, shy, high school girls as your sales employees. I will not go back to this shop ever again.

I am so disappointed in this Ulta. Ulta used to be my go to store for makeup, but after being in Tallahassee with this Ulta I’m not sure anymore. It seems like nothing is ever stocked and they never put up stickers to show you what is on sale. Honestly the best thing about Ulta(and the only reason that I go) is because they have the $ 3.50 off coupons. So if you wait for a drugstore item to go on sale for BOGO half off, with the coupon it’s basically a buy one get one free. It doesn’t apply to prestige brand of cosmetics tho.

This is a medium-sized Ulta location that is very well organized and staffed by friendly employees. Their selection of premium makeup includes Benefit, Urban Decay, Too Faced, and others, but is perhaps smaller than other large Ulta stores. They have a wonderful drugstore selection, as I like to call it, with Almay, Rimmel, and all of the other familiar brands. I haven’t used the salon, so I can’t comment there… but I’ll be sure to update if I do!
