Love this place! It’s a hole in the wall for sure but the food is excellent. I’m from Nawlins so I have to try any place claiming to be cajun. Gumbo is definitely cajun and the jambalaya was some of the best I’ve had. I’ll be going back.

I went to their Food Truck. The food was good. The service from the woman on the truck was horrendous! She was short tempered, unfriendly, and when I asked if they had a trash can so I can throw out my trash, she acted as though I insulted her. I had tipped her and everything … there’s just no reason for that. They won’t get any more of my business or many of my friends. There are plenty of places to eat around here. Service is just as important as the food!

I was excited to see this food truck outside of my office in New Tampa since it can save quite a bit of time and hassle of out of grabbing lunch from one of the many nearby restaurants. Unfortunately, the experience did not quite meet my expectations. The woman who took my order was a little rude. The gentleman who ordered right before me had the same name as me. So when she asked what my name was, I paused to think of a variation of mine or just a different name alltogether(to save her, myself, and the other gentleman the hassle of being confused when they call your name out to let you know your order is ready).after no longer than a seconds pause, the woman repeated herself in a very condescending tone, «your naaaammee!!! Needless to say, she didn’t get a tip after that. It was completely uncalled for. The food itself tasted quite good. I got the loaded grilled cheese. It was ready in just about 5 minutes. The sandwich itself was a little smaller than I expected and literally had mac-n-cheese on one half of the sandwich and the BBQ pork on the other half — they should have at least been on top of each other(like in Mark P.‘s 2÷18÷16 picture). Anyways, I spent $ 10+(including a coke) and still left hungry. If you don’t mind overpaying for food, give it a try. Otherwise, there are many other options out there that will actually fill you up and at least the service will be better!

Saw them as i was passing by this morning, on the way to work. Told myself, that was where i was eating lunch. I am not disappointed. I got the gumbo and added Shrimp. It is very good. Can’t wait to tell my Louisianain husband. Next will be Jambalaya and Beignets!

An old buddy of mine from back in my radio days is now running a promotions and marketing company, and he recently invited me out to his newest client – Cajun in a Truck. I dropped by for«Free Taste Friday,» which was a promo-sampling event designed to bring awareness to their new stand-alone restaurant on Hillsborough Ave. While snacking on some samples, I learned that this location originally served as their kitchen for the food truck. However, after people stopping by on a daily basis to order food, and having to turn away business, the decision was made to tryout selling food from the kitchen. So far, it seems to be doing good, and if I lived in Seminole Heights, I’d be fairly regular because the food is good. Based on the taste of the free samples alone, I ordered two bowls of jambalaya to go. So damn good, and even better heated up later. Highly recommended.

I loved the loaded grilled cheese with BBQ pork and mac and cheese. I appreciate that the food came out pretty quickly because I only take 30 minutes for lunch. So they get five stars from me for taste, value and service on first visit. Update: went back a couple more times for another grilled cheese and a chicken po boy(didn’t like). Averaging out the visits to give 4 stars.
