Great atmosphere. Space is huge, yet feels intimate. Good tunes… TCQ, Lauren hill, etc. Knowledgeable bartender that can recommend something you’ll like. Patrons actually talk to each other(gasp), and i got some other good, local reccomends. Just wish they had some munchies! !!! I know, I know. .it’s a brewery. Just when I’m drinking 10% abv I need me a pretzel or a pita or sumthin… Beers are good to excellent. Free Dive is popular for ipa drinkers like me but honestly, not as flavorful as jai alai, sorry. Citrus Couture was different, good, floraly mango. Didn’t find my new favorite this time, but I’ve barely tapped their selection. Will be back! !!!

It is a good place to chill between club hopping. The drinks were good. Our waitress were really nice. The drink my husband wanted ran out and she gave us a good recommendation. It is clean and spacious inside. Our fav seat is next to the entrance, where you can watch people outside. It is kinda fun to see people walking by(I know it sounds weird)

Since I cannot have any alcohol drink due to medical reason. I came here for the brewery tour and it was fun. I have done the Miller Brewery tour in Milwaukee before so I was curious how was our local brewery coppertail look like. This facility used to be a mayonnaise factory. When I arrived at the parking lot, there was this funky smell in the air. Later I learned they brewing beer right inside the building. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. He explained the process of brewing the beer and answered our questions. The tour took about 30 minutes. We got to try 2 samples. The first sample got this sweet fruity smell and the second one was a sour beer. Each participant received a ticket to exchange a beer at the counter of their choice and also got a free glass souvenir. Since I didn’t swallow any beer here, my review was only based on the tour, service and the atmosphere of this place. The decoration was unique, pretty and the color theme ran smoothly through out the whole place. There are comfortable bar seats, table seats, couches and big screen TV to watch sports. Some games there you can play with your friends. The background music wasn’t loud so it’s easy to carry a conversation. The entire space is huge. Each group can enjoy their own privacy. On this particular day the second floor was used for an art show. Customers got to browse through different art stands and purchased arts items. The staff were very friendly and they served fast and cleaned up very well. This is a good place to have some beers, relax, hang out with friends(or strangers) after work or on weekend.

Like it! Like it! Like it! I am a fan of the Coppertail free dive beer. The beer is very tasty and smell good with the wheat. This is one of the best craft beer in Bay Area. Today we are here for the cinco de mayo food truck rally. When we arrived, there is only one truck that serve Cajun food. However the truck do not serve that, instead, they are serving taco. Well! food is not happening. We decided to join the tour. The tour is $ 7 per person. This tour is the best value if you visit this brewery. It include two beer tasting and a glass of wine of your choice. I have the free dive. My wife does not drink so I have another glass of Thai spicy beer. Very interesting. The spiciness went deep down your throat. You can feel it. The tour is very informative. The guide is very knowledgeable. He know these beer. If I am visit again, go for the tour.

Visited Coppertail Brewing today. Beautiful building with gorgeous art work and unique characteristics. The staff is friendly, open and full of knowledge. The beer is cold, balanced, not over done and properly handled from start to finish. This brewery is a gem for the Tampa Bay Area and I am excited to see it continue to prosper.

I went to Coppertail with friends to do the tour, but we missed the last one. We were able to see the tanks through the big windows though. The inside is really modern with brick and trendy murals everywhere. The Beastie Boys lyrics in the bathroom were the best part. I think it would be a cool venue for an event. We all admired the giant projector, especially since there were playoff games on that night. There were a lot of games to play, but they were all taken during the time we were there. The bartenders were busy but made sure to pay attention to us when we had empty glasses. I really liked the Core 4 with the exception of the IPA, which isn’t a style of beer I usually enjoy. My favorite was the Wheat Stroke so I stuck with that all night. I’ve also had Unholy at a few other places and always thought it was good. It’s nice that they have so many different beers on tap, as well as a few guest taps. We weren’t able to stay for very long, but I want to go back and try more of their special releases eventually.

I love Coppertail! I love the beers, I love the atmosphere, I love the retro arcade game table! Located just on the outskirts of Ybor City across from Ikea. Let’s start with the beer. My fav go-to is the Night Swim. I love dark beers and this poster is smooth and chocolatey and delicious! They often do limited releases which sell out quick, so stay on your toes! Several months back they did a cherry Night Swim and I missed it… biggest regret of my life! The atmosphere is laid back! There is an abundance of tables and seating, so bring your friends for a game of cards or monopoly. Of course, my favorite spot is at the retro arcade table, you can find me destroying some Galaga! The décor has an industrial feel which I personally love for breweries. And if you’re feeling particularly guilty, there is an antique confessional booth off in the corner. The space on the second floor is perfect for private parties. The bathrooms are clean and have cool mirrors and fixtures. If your hungry, there is usually a food truck out front! There is plenty of parking in the lot and across the street. However, my favorite thing about the parking, is that they encourage you to leave your car if you’ve had too much to drink. They do not tow! More bars should do this!

Cool venue, hoppin’ place! The warehouse feel with high ceilings, exposed piping and pressed tin artwork are definite eye catchers when you walk in. A huge bar with seating dominates the room and a pleasing grouping of various sized tables and a couch set up provide seating spaced through out. Large windows keep it light despite the darker woods and feel of the furniture. High ceilings and concrete walls allow the noise level to rise, but you can hear at the table and there is outside seating as well. The big draw at Coppertail is the huge variety of brew options from more straight forward IPAs to fruit flavored beers. Try the Unholy, a citrus beer blend for a smooth taste and full flavor. Want to try a few of their specialties without overdoing it? Ask for a smaller pour — I LOVE it when venues offer this option!!! 2, 4, 6, 8 ounce options allow you create your own flavor testing grouping. Brewery tours are $ 7. Pay at the bar, they will give you a pass and when they have enough takers for a tour group, it starts. Fun! TIPS: Bring your own food or have it delivered as this brewery does not sell food. Coppertail is on the East end of Ybor City and has a private parking lot which is really helpful because it gets crowded. This is a fantastic place for group gatherings!

I dig this places vibe and atmosphere, enjoyed trying almost all they had to try. Wonderful beers and service was exceptionally good, bartender went out of the way to get us beers and even gave a free round to share with friends.

Although this brewery is pretty out of the way for me, I ready dig what they have going on and was a huge fan of their place. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and had about 15 people. There was plenty of room for us as some sat at tables while others mingled. There is both inside and outside seating and a huge bar where the bartenders are quick to poor you one of their many selections on tap. I loved every beer I drank and was happy with the wide variety they offered. There was a nice selection of IPAs, even a coffee IPA, a few sours, and my favorite of the day a cherry chocolate porter. Wow! Holy delicious. Once I tried one of these, I kept them coming. The staff was very cool and accommodating to our entire party. We will definitely be putting this place on the rotation!

Coppertail is a pretty snazzy brewery hidden on the outskirts of Ybor. It took me a while to find this place, but oh am I glad I did. They have a great selection of different beers and it’s always crowded here. Coppertail has a very hip vibe to it. Unlike other breweries in Tampa, Coppertail focuses a lot of their energy not only on their beers, but also the atmosphere and environment of their brewery. Right when you walk in, you see the exposed brick walls, metal decorations, and artwork covering the brewery. It really gives it refreshing vibe, differing itself from a regularly brewery that is focused on beer decorations. You can also walk to the back and see the entire brewery process. They have a couple of games around the place and even have a massive jenga set outside too. And if any of you are trivia players, they have a trivia night here on Tuesday! I’ve tried a couple of their beers and each one more amazing than the other. My personal favorite was the unholy trippel. But you seriously can’t go wrong with anything on their menu. PS. If you need to do some light shopping later, Ikea is right down the street.

I can’t believe it took me so long to try this place! The inside is enormous and the décor is so cool! Is conveniently located right on 60, near IKEA between Brandon and downtown. There’s plenty of parking in a lot across the street. Every single beer I tried was absolutely delicious. I went for a birthday event so what was cool was they had a lot of 4 ounce beers for $ 2. It was nice to be able to just try a little bit of this and a little bit of that! Sours are my favorite so it was nice to see that they had a gose. I may become a regular! Bottom line: amazing brewery with tasty beer!

Very interesting bar and atmosphere. If you’re into hipster, this is definitely the place for you. No issues with parking. Good to bring in large groups. Beer is great. Sometimes they get a lot of belgian beers on top which I’m not a huge fan of. Otherwise, they brew their own beer and its good. Proud of this Tampa brewery. Tip: you can bring in food. I brought in a box of publix fried chicken once and made friends: D

You know when you find that place that you could call a second home? This is mine. It’s dark, spacious, cool, and classy inside. The beer, so good! I am a beer enthusiast, not an expert-but this place rocked my world. There is not much inside except some open space, a brewery, a bar, a merchandise area, a confessional booth from a church, and some interesting art. That’s all you need, and a little merchandise. I tried their brews and fell in love with a nice sour dragonfruit IPA. I hear a brewery tour is in order next time, but I was happy to bask in the dim lights of the bar and just relax. Very enjoyable brewery and worth the trip if you’re in the area.

5 stars for the beautiful venue and beer selection– This brewery is definitely 5 stars. It has everything you’d expect at a brewery — great beer, awesome brick venue, cool view of the actual brewery and assembly line, games, a confessional, natural sunlight, and… classic 80’s music! BOOM ! They had me at the confessional but then 80’s music well, I’m just glad Coppertail isn’t in Saint Petersburg as I’d be there way too often. Our bartender/beerologist was attentive and offered suggestions on the different beers. I REALLY like how they sell some of the tapped brews in 4oz portions($ 2) because it’s just a great way of always having your beer cold and it offers you a chance to sample a beer. The few that I consumed were the ‘Whoops’ described as a Floridaweiss with cranberries and hibiscus, ‘Wheat Stroke’- a wheat, and the ‘Florida Farmhouse’ — a traditional French Saison. All very good though, I think my favorite of the three was the wheat stroke. So, my next trip to IKEA is going to be a lot better after I stop in Coppertail for a delicious beverage!

I ventured to Coppertail with a small group of friends on Saturday night. We were interested in doing the brewery tour, but alas we took too long and missed the last group by 45 minutes. The tour is only $ 7.00 and includes a pint glass and a free beer. It’s a great deal if you have a free afternoon! The structure has a wonderfully modern industrial interior. The walls are brick, the doors are made of rich wood, and there is a giant octopus mural beside the bar. Think Steampunk meets the dark side of Etsy. You’ll have a great view of the entire brewery interior from anywhere you choose to sit, since there are massive windows where you can watch the brewing process. We were able to watch the NFL playoffs on a huge screen as we got cozy on the large couch. There are also lots of games available to play, but they were all occupied during our visit. We went straight to the bar when we arrived, yet were overwhelmed by the options. There are four«core» beers and then a long list of beers that are rotated to include seasonal options. I’m not a fan of IPAs, but I do love sours. The only sour that was available just happened to also be an IPA, the Weequasher. I was surprised that I really enjoyed it, although I could only take sips. I was able to try everyone else’s drinks as well, which included Night Swim, Wheat Stroke, and a Cigar City cider which I’ve already had. The first two were a little too strong for my taste, but I never turn down a cider! I’ve previously tried the Unholy Trippel and wasn’t a huge fan. The atmosphere more than made up for my picky beer tastes though! Drinking all of those beers will certainly work up an appetite and occasionally we would catch a whiff of the Mexican food truck serving tamales outside. It smelled delicious but we were on to the next bar before I had a chance to try anything! Coppertail doesn’t serve food, but the general theme of Tampa breweries is to always have a food truck on deck. We all enjoyed our visit to Coppertail Brewing Co. and I am looking forward to returning for a tour!

My first visit to Coppertail was during a brew hub tour on a Sunday afternoon. I was only there for an hour, but loved all of the beers that I sampled. My husband and I were able to get a seat at the bar, along with 5 others from the tour. The location is easy to find on a corner near IKEA. The interior is spacious and a bit of the farmhouse industrial style with wood and steel accents. The last time I visited Tampa, Coppertail was a must visit again. This time my husband and I visited on a Wednesday afternoon and got seats at the bar. When we arrived it wasn’t too busy, but a few hours later and it was packed out. The one flaw that I saw was regarding the time it takes to get a beer when it’s busier. The issues are these: they could use more staff behind the bar during the«happy hour»(there was 1.5 while we were there. The .5 is because one was hanging out on the other side of the bar for the majority of the time), a set place to approach the bar to order a drink(if you weren’t sitting at the bar), or staff to take orders from those sitting at tables throughout the bar. Overall though, this is my favorite brewery location to visit in the Tampa area and would highly recommend a visit there if you are in the area.

What a fun place to hang out on A weekday afternoon. Stopped in here, like so many others, after a visit to IKEA across the street. Walking in, I brought my dog and nobody even blink so kudos to them for that. There was actually another person with the dog hanging out on the patio which is also cool. The facility has a lot of seating on two floors and an outdoor patio that catches the afternoon sun which is nice. The facility was very clean and well-maintained. The décor is wide open and very hip. There are boardgames in such you can play if you want, there is a huge TV in the corner, and there are couches scattered about for comfortable conversation. I’ve tried several of the beers and they were all pretty typical microbrews. I did order a small 4 ounce taster of the very dark beer and surprisingly I did not like it. Several other reviewers have mentioned it favorably but to me it just tasted like they burned the heck out of the barley. You know the flavor of super burnt toast that sometimes permeates food even when you scrape off that burnt top? Well that’s the flavor that permeated this beer. That’s sad because I like Guinness and I also like your average microbrew stout. I tried the week beer and it was easy to drink. The staff was friendly and competent. It appears there were a good number of locals hanging out here too come regularly to this bar. I didn’t even think about the fact that it was A Wednesday afternoon before 5 o’clock. This place is definitely worth the trip, it’s in a slightly out-of-the-way location but there is plenty of parking and it’s really painless to get here.

We were introduced to Coppertail by friends who live in the area and frequent it. We first went when they were in their old space with the small, cute(pet friendly) taproom. The first time I went I got a flight of 8 beers, lots of them were Weisse style and very delicious and light. We recently went to the new taproom which is just gorgeous. It’s right next to the old space and is spacious, comfortable, and well thought out. They have expanded their beer selection and are bottling a bunch of different beers now too. I highly recommend Brews Banner and Seasonal Relief, as well as their Coquito beer(can’t remember the name) which was like a tropical treat.

Coppertail Brewery is a unique spot which has some flavor for every taste. Located in the outskirts of Ybor, in a non description industrial styled building across from IKEA, this brewery offers ambiance and a variety of craft beer to appeal to the general consumer. The brewery has good amount of parking on the premises. The open concept interior of the brewery is very nice and spacious, with comfortable seating and cool wall art. The menu boasts the 4 core beer(«Core 4») varieties with an additional 10 rotating beers. I enjoyed the Unholy, an American Trippel, which is delicious and packs a punch at 9.5% ABV. Tours run Thursday through Sunday and you can ask the bartender on shift for more information because they don’t post the hours. I enjoy that they have flights available for sampling their flavor concoctions. The staff was very friendly, helpful and attentive to the needs of the patrons. I will definitely be returning to sample some more beers. I had a fabulous experience on the particular Friday after work when I went and think it is a great venue for a group gathering! Next time I will definitely check out the brewery tour. Currently, there is not food available in the brewery but there are food trucks, usually one per day, that are stationed outside if you get the munchies. There are also events that offer food so be sure to check on their website or Instagram to become aware of what is going on.
