Czar

It was a huge club. There are many different areas in a club and a couple booths that you can sit down, which is great if you are wearing high heels.

I really liked this club in comparison to other clubs that I have been to. Usually I do not enjoy going to clubs, and am coerced by my friends, but this club was fairly fun for me. The atmosphere is very upscale-​looking, and there are several different rooms allocated for dancing. There is a main dance floor with a lot of lights, and there is additional seating off to the side as well. The music is all EDM, and it is played very loudly, so this is not the club for you to go to if you do not enjoy that particular type of music. This is a big 18 plus club, so there is a lot of immature behavior, but overall it is pretty fun.

Horrible. It’s 11pm on a Saturday night and this place is 100% dead. I was first greeted by a door girl that had three empty drinks next to her and was completely inebriated. The rest of the staff were inattentive and downright rude. They spoke very curtly to me, and actually seemed bothered when I asked for/​about anything. The club itself was dingy and dated, I felt like I was in a musty basement. I couldn’t believe I paid 8 $ to get in to this place. About 20 minutes after I got there, I left. I have never been so put-​off by a club in my entire life. Maybe with new management, a new staff, and some badly needed renovation this place could live up to the potential the location has.

false advertizing they no longer offer $ 15 or $ 18 bottles. i will give them a 2 star because music was ok and vip table was ok. but there is no service after you get the bottle u gotta get your own mixers. the old place was way better i wont go back unless im completely bored. alot of ghetto actons from 18 yr olds. i don’t know what the fuk they feel intitallted too pushing n shoving the women.

This is an 18+ club. Expect a lot of underage drinking leading to a lot of these kids acting ridiculously ratchet.
This was my first time here, and apparently they have moved their location over to the Ritz theater, so I wouldn’t be able to compare it with the previous location.
When you walk in, you see the hip hop dance room to the left (super crowded), and in the room on the right, all the people standing around and staring at things because they are rolling on mollies and listening to the most awkward EDM songs I have ever heard.
The main dance floor straight in front of the entrance played a mix of top 40 and EDM which was pretty fun, yet there were a lot of crazy people… including an older male probably in his 60s that was wearing a pink see through lingerie, whitie tighties, and a boner… WTF! All the young girls were around this weirdo taking pictures like it was not creepy at all…
There are 2 bars located in the main dance room, and they are usually quick to get you a drink. Drinks run about $ 7 per mixed drink and $ 6 for draft beers. They make the drinks weak, but the bar nearest to the stage usually give a lot of free extra shots.

Have you even been to a dark corner of a parallel universe that is the true HELL for those who have not accepted CHRIST, this is it. I could not believe my eyes for the life of me. Voluptuous women were running rampant, young men were drinking and dancing like FIENDS, and not a SINGLE crucifix to signify that this is a CHRISTIAN nation. I have already petitioned to the White House AND the Cathedral to consider shutting this place down, on accounts of debauchery and sin.
Let me read you some scripture, and maybe you will understand my actions:

Looooovvvve Czar Bar!!! We came from out of town and knew nothing about the Tampa area. We were told Ybor City would be a fun night out. It was! 7^th Ave. is lined with bars and clubs of all kinds. The street itself was like a party! We weren’t sure exactly what kind of bar we were feeling, so we finally just decided to try Czar. Great choice! They have 3 separate rooms, all with different music and atmospheres.
The 1^st room has a long, narrow bar and a small dance floor. It was playing disco and 80’s dance music.
The 2^nd room was the smallest and was like an intimate lounge with plush couches and a small bar. It also had a stripper pole. The music was a little trance-​y and more mellow dance music.
The 3^rd and final room was our favorite. 2 bars. DJ booth. Large dance floor. 2 stages. A ladder leading up to an overlook platform. Large tv screens with music videos. And FUN mixed dance, hip hop, techno music. These DJ’s were awesome at mixing the music perfectly! So much fun!
The best thing about this bar is that it seems like anything goes… It has a great mixed crowd, everyone’s welcome & no one feels out of place. Punks, goths, preppies, hipsters, tourists, etc. Mostly in their 20’s, plus a few older.
$ 2 well drinks & free drafts till midnight. $ 6 cover after 11pm.
We went on a Saturday night. By 1am it still wasn’t very full/​crowded, which, honestly, was refreshing. Plenty of room to dance, no sweaty bodies bumping up against you. Can’t wait to return!

Have you ever been to a bar where you can order trays of shots served in glasses made of ice, which you are then encouraged to throw against a brick wall? If not, you need to get to Czar sometime soon. I don’t go to Ybor City to «club» often, but when I am there Czar always gets a visit. We are usually at a friend’s house drinking when someone suggests going to do shots against the wall. That’s all that needs to be said and we are all quickly on our way to Czar.
Let me put it this way, our group before Czar is much different than the group after Czar. This comes as no surprise because while there we usually end up doing about 100 shots between us. These aren’t huge shots, but they do add up over time, especially if you stick to the Jagermeister ones. It’s not so much that the shots are yummy or anything, it’s just so much fun throwing shit. You kind of get addicted to it. I personally enjoy smashing them with my hand against the wall, but it’s also nice to let one rip from about 20 feet away. Every once in a while you come across someone that hasn’t been there before, and they seem very confused as to why bits of ice are raining down upon them. So you just keep throwing more.
I spend most of my time in the front room, which evidently is called the Cyberia Vodka Room, where the brick wall is. They also have a dance floor in another room that is pretty fun too, but I honestly have only been in there once. I come to Czar to break stuff and leave. What can I say? I like it. The crowd is pretty diverse, so you can count on seeing some hipsters, the gays, some really weird emo kids, and then what I’ll just call «normal» people. It’s a good mix of people looking to have a good time.
From my experience, you can get away with pretty much anything in there. We tend to get a little wild when we are there and I’ve never had anyone tell us to stop. So that’s a plus in my book. The line to get in can be kind of long sometimes, but I’ve never actually had to wait. I am lucky enough to have a friend that can get into just about any bar in Ybor pretty easily. Yeah it sucks for the people waiting in line, but trust me, you don’t want to wait in line with us anyway. Better to just let us go ahead of you.
Although I have focused primarily on the Vodka Room, don’t let that deter you from checking out the other two rooms there. I just personally find no reason to stray. As I said, Czar for me is all about iced shots and breaking stuff. For you it may be different. You have to go try it at least once though. That’s all I ask. If you see me there I’ll probably buy you some shots. Why should I have all of the fun?
