My husband and I come here for breakfast every other weekend. HOWEVER… the owner is so unfriendly, we have decided to not ever go back. This really isn’t about food, it’s about a business owner that can’t even bother to say hello to his customers or thank them for their business. I recently bought a couple vouchers from CLdeals and the owner acted like I was the biggest pain in his butt for using my coupon. He literally never said a word to me, just took my phone, wrote down the voucher number, and walked away. Maybe he shouldn’t offer groupons. I have to assume they aren’t doing well, which is usually the case when restaurants start to utilize groupons! I hope the owner reads this and becomes more personable. You’ll never stay in business if you don’t stop alienating your clientele.

I would have given this place zero stars. The incredible rudeness of the owner is appalling. We have been going there almost every weekend and this guy just seems like he hates his life and everyone that walks into this place. The food is ok, portions keep getting smaller and smaller, and a bit over priced. Think the owner should have way better customer service and perhaps smile and thank people for coming to his place to spend cash.

Food was awful. My fiancé used to get Cuban food there before it was bought out and he loved it. New owners said they’d still be serving some Cuban food. We went for breakfast and I had the Challah French toast, a side of hash brown casserole and he had a Cuban. The best part of the meal was the drink. Hash browns lacked flavor and salt, but didn’t lack grease. This place just didn’t cut it. Manager thanked the only other customer in the restaurant for coming in and was very personable with him(white male) and as for us, he looked at us(multi-racial) as though we were rift-raft and didn’t speak. He should know that people in this zip code are yuppie families… young professionals that use social media and are well connected. Felt bad for the young waitress so we still left her a fair tip. Don’t think this place will be there long. Will not visit again!

Really good Cuban food. I always get the pulled pork with rice and black beans. Delicious!

The Pancakes were huge and very fluffy and good. The café con leche was amazing as well. Everything was very fresh and cooked to order. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is a pretty decent variety to the menu, which I was surprised at, because the place doesn’t look like much from the parking lot. I’ll definitely be back.

Great little gem hidden in New Tampa. Food is always great and very will priced. If it’s busy you may wait a bit for your food but the service is always on point. We will keep coming back. Try the Cuban!

Was disappointed that La Cubanita closed and after feeling bad for the new owner after seeing hardly anyone in this restaurant several times during peak hours, I gave it a try. I was surprised to see that they had mojo pork, yellow rice and black beans as I thought this would be just another blah American food joint. Well unfortunately what I received did not compare to La Cubanita. A much smaller serving of pork with not a lot of flavor, and about half was dried out from not being stirred or basted every once in a while. This was a weekday at 12:30 pm with only one other table occupied by two people. Same price as La Cubanita, no flavor, dried out, smaller portion. The owner I could tell was sitting right next to me talking on his phone most of the time, but even when not he never attempted to engage a conversation. I was waiting for him to ask how I liked my lunch… I wish him luck. My first impression was my last and like many others that have tried this space, I don’t think this one will make it either.

My husband and I have different schedules. He’s an early riser but I’m a late sleeper. When I want breakfast he wants lunch. Dine or Dash was a perfect solution. I went with a traditional sausage and eggs. Not much you can do to ruin that. It was fine. Just what I was looking for. My husband had a very tasty Picadillo with Black Beans and Rice. What makes this even better is they’re there to serve breakfast after the other breakfast restaurants stop. The one criticism is that the self serve drink glasses are on the small side but you can refill at will.

Las Palmas was closed, so we used Unilocal to find something close by. Dine or Dash had some good reviews, and it was new, so we gave it a try. Since the chicken parm had been praised in some reviews, I gave it a try, along with a stuffed potato, which we frequently order at Las Palmas, where they are excellent. My wife ordered a Cuban sandwich. We were both less than thrilled. The chicken parm was no better than a frozen dinner, the stuffed potato was dry, and my wife only ate half the Cuban, which she was not impressed with. I can only assume the positive reviews were written by the owners, employees or friends in order to get folks like us to give them a try. It’s pretty typical fast food, and we will not go back. I would not recommend it. Do yourself a favor if it’s before 8 p.m. and go down the street to Las Palmas.

Great location. Open seating plan. Menus posted clearly over cashier station. This is there second location in the Tampa Bay area. I believe it’s family owned and operated. Recipes are family recipes and very delicious. I ordered the ropa verda sandwich & was very pleased. They serve breakfast, lunch, and donner items. Sandwiches are served with chips or fries. The fries are very yummy.

Stopped in for the first time for a quick lunch with my wife while running errands. So glad we did. LOVE the menu options. Restaurant is very clean and simple, with plenty of seating. Staff is friendly, knowledgable, and courteous. Mojo Pork and Ropa Vieja sandwiches were good and plenty filling! Will definitely be back!

We were on a trip to Tampa and decided to stop in, from the outside it looks like a burger joint however upon entering were we in shock. What a pleasant surprise it was. I had the roast pork and my hubby had the beef. Yummy!

Note: Strictly a to-go review. I was visiting the Tampa area and we were staying with family in the area. Looking for somewhere to grab lunch to go, we accidently found Dine or Dash while looking for the restaurant that was previously located here as it wasn’t yet listed as closed on Unilocal. We realized that Dine or Dash was it there instead, and gave it a shot. It’s a quaint, laid back eatery with a pleasantly straight forward interior. You can order at the counter and there is ample seating for dine-in, or you can always get your food to go. The menu varies, but has a bit of a Latin fusion feel on top of American classics; sandwiches, breakfast options(burritos, omelets and such), and the intriguing street sandwich selection. We ordered two sandwiches from the menu; my Cuban was exactly on point, and my wife’s Cuban BLT(just a pressed BLT) was great, too. The Cuban was moderately greasy(BLT was not at all, it’s really a matter of difference in ingredients), but not more than usual and they did not skimp out on filling one bit. Price-wise, the sandwiches are very fairly sized, so they’re a pretty decent value. For what it is, Dine or Dash seems pretty awesome and when I’m back in the area, I would surely pay another visit to try more from their menu. Being a fairly new restaurant, as I am the first reviewer, I wish them a lot of luck, but I also think they are on the right track in terms of selection and quality. There are some chain fast food spots in the same plaza but there’s really no decision to be made between a chain restaurant and a legitimate spot like this one.
