Friendly staff, good doughnuts, however they could take more time to coat the doughnuts. The powdered sugar barely stayed on. That’s the best part!

Donuts here are delicious. Little mini donuts sprinkled with whatever you choose. All delicious. The donuts are made to order, so they taste fresh and warm. Like biting into little clouds if you can imagine that. The way they cook it is pretty awesome. The machine they have that creates a little assembly line of donuts is entertaining. They guys here are friendly and prices are reasonable. Nothing else to say but you should try their donuts!

Address is a bust. Don’t travel to it, just takes you into a neighborhood in Carrolwood. Never even got to try the place.

I bumped into Disco Donuts this weekend at the Tampa Bay Margarita Festival. I almost skipped over the booth because there was a long line, but it seemed to be moving fast. Not to mention, donuts are always worth the wait! These donuts come with a variety of topping choices, including cinnamon sugar, sprinkles, honey drizzle, and powdered sugar. Upon the recommendation of the man running the show, we went with the«best choice» of toppings– a combination of cinnamon and powdered sugars. The donuts came out fresh and piping hot! It was hard not to devour them before they cooled a bit, but they were delicious. The sugar almost melted into the warm dough and created a sweet glazed effect. The mini donuts were the perfect sweet treat to end a great night. Hopefully I run into Disco Donuts again soon!

During food truck rally’s it seems by the time you get around to thinking about dessert, your belly is sitting heavily from all the other eats you seen as a must try fro truck to truck. Last Flicks & Food Trucks rally I finally save room to try a little something sweet at a truck or stand known as Disco Donuts. Looking at the menu, it was simple, straightforward and novel with the disco theme. ½ dozen — «stayin alive», 1 dozen — «disco inferno» and a bucket of 36 — «don’t stop til you get enough». Then you have the option of how you want these mini donuts coated with cinnamon sugar, powdered, sugar with colored crystals and cinnamon sugar with a honey drizzle(only on the ½ &1 dozen orders). Its was my turn up to order, I wanted a disco inferno with KC and the cinnamon band(cinnamon sugar coating). He didn’t have that many made so he me gave almost a ½ dozen complimentary, while I waited for him to make more batter. This is where my appreciation for technique and efficiency gave a 5 star rating. He came with his dry ingredients already mixed in a bucket and a gallon jug with wet ingredients that looked like water. No measurements needed, some of the dry and some wet into the kitchen aid mixer and we wait for the blend to come to perfection. When batter was to right consistency, it was off to his unique frying gadget that was like a one man factory line. Batter poured into the funneling device which popped out precise little donut holes into the first fry compartment. The owner then keeps all the donut hole back with a little bamboo skewer to maintain an even golden brown on one side. When they are done on the one side he lets the go and an automatic lever pops up to flip the on the other side and into the second fry compartment to cook the other side of the donut holes. Once golden enough, another lever pops up and removes them from the oil. I noted all this because, while all this was happening a line was forming, yet when the mini donuts are on the move on this fry gadget, he can plow through numerous customers within a matter of minutes. I was told one batch when he has to stop and make the batter makes about 36 dozen. In the end, I was done with my complimentary mini donuts before my order was done, but that was only because once you pop, you can’t stop. They come out warm, light, pillowy and sugary goodness that just melts in your mouth. So, don’t think 36 mini donuts are too much, they go by fast. Disco Donuts is a perfect example of simple done right.

SOOOOO delicious! The only problem is that the donuts are mini so before you know it you’ve eaten ten melt in your mouth cinnamon sugar donuts! Every time I see Disco Donuts at a food truck event I have to get some!

Any time I see the Disco Donuts cart I simply can not pass them up. While waiting in line you can watch them fry up your little bite-sized donuts and then shake on your desired topping, mine being cinnamon sugar. Even on a hot day, these warm little donuts definitely hit the spot! They literally melt in your mouth — so dang good!

Coolest«food truck» ever!(But more like a food stand.)The kids and I really enjoyed watching the little assembly line of donuts being pressed out of the donut maker and dropped into the grease, floated downstream, flipped over by the little scooper, and then flipped out into the pan all finished. You can choose what type of sweetener or sugar you’d like added to your finished mini donuts… powdered sugar, cinnamon, honey. They all looked delicious, but we went with powdered sugar. The donuts are hot and fresh and oh so good. Like fluffy goodness, they melt in your mouth. We all loved them. They are about $ 3.00 for a half dozen, and he even threw in an extra or two. Much easier to share than a cupcake for the same price!

Worked with this gentleman twice at Verizon and again at Tampa General. He’s a very pleasant guy, very friendly. I have had his stuff twice now, I’m not really a fan of donuts usually but these bad boys are so good. I highly highly recommend the honey glazed donuts. Check him out if you see him around town, well worth it.
