Overall experience was good. The pizza was delicious. We received a free desert, from manager after having to move from one table to another. Thought that was very nice of mngt. Staff was friendly and did a good job.

The first time I came here the pizza was great! Every time since then the food has just been okay. Usually food tends to suck when a resturant is crazy busy however it seems like the slower they are the worse the food is. I only keep going every now and then because my niece and nephew like it, and they will eat pretty much anything if it has cheese on it.

I am giving them a poor rating because I ordered a small salad, which was my meal and the server neglected to tell me everything extra was an up charge ! I ordered no meat or protein simply a little more veggies! My $ 9.00 salad in the end was a$ 21.50 Salad and the sad part is, it was barely enough for one Person.I guess I know better than to come here again

This isn’t imitation NYC pizza, it’s the real deal. Thin crust, brick oven baked and crust perfectly blackened to a chewy-crispy finish. Order it as-is, without extra sauce or extra cheese, because they really have the balance down pat — although a side of the calzone sauce, which is creamier and more acidic than the pizza sauce — makes a great addition. Lunch menu is a plate — sized personal pie for $ 4.99, or with salad and drink for $ 9.49. Desserts are traditional NYC — Italian favorites: cannolis, cheesecake, and tiramasu. Great value, highly recommend!

Great Pizza! Love the ambience and the crisp brick oven pizza. Staff were attentive and friendly. We got caprese salad and half margarita and pepperoni pizza. Love the sauce and just the right amount of cheese. Not quite NY pizza but hey we’re in FL

The pizza(garlic sauce and cheese) is my favorite and their cheese cake is yummy. The bartenders were equally as good as the waitstaff, so I like sitting at the bar just as much as at a table. The Tampa location is extremely busy but it’s so worth the wait. I also enjoyed the Clearwater location too; less busy and quality is the same.

This is definitely the«BEST» pizza in Tampa. I moved down here 4 years ago from Brooklyn NY and when I seen Grimaldi’s my mouth automatically watered. I knew the owners of the original Grimaldi’s and to find out the son ventured off and open one in Tampa. There is a pizza god! I definitely tried other pizzas since I been in Tampa but nothing compares to Grimaldi’s. Hands down the best, never dissapointed and always satisfied. Plus there are 3 out here in Tampa, we’ve been to 2⁄3 one more to go. It makes it exciting to know you have options if your on either side of Tampa. Thank you Grimaldi’s for yuuummmmmmy pizza.

Fun atmosphere, friendly staff and great pizza. I almost wish it was on the other side of the mall so it would get more attention. Attention is really deserves! I love the red check table cloths and the wine bottle chandeliers. Old photos on the wall are really great too. I like everything about this place. They have wine and beer, good selections. The pizza is thin and crispy. We had the prosciutto and arugula. The personal size feeds two easily. It was fantastic! We also had the antipasto plate as well. Service was kind and attentive.

We love this place for a fresh perfectly cooked thin crust pizza. This a family friendly restaurant that really can please anyone. Although the menu recently changed, I think the less options and simple menu helps the restaurant really focus on their product. We love the salad here and can split and small Mediterranean salad before our pizza comes. This may be one of my favorite salads around! The Mediterranean salad has cucumber, red onion, feta, kalamata olives, tomatoes and a light dressing that compliments the fresh veggies. I could eat just a salad here and leave happy. Tonight we ordered a pepperoni pizza and half w black olives. The fresh mozzarella and the awesome light red pizza sauce was a perfect compliment to the amazing pepperoni and perfectly toasted crust. Decent prices, good wine selection and fabulous food. Definitely a good pick for tasty pizza.

5 Stars because the pizza is delicious– There are quite a few pizzarias in St. Pete yet, we go to Tampa for Grimaldi’s because we just can’t get enough of the pepperoni and spicy chicken sausage. It’s always so delicious that we have to control ourselves and not eat a whole large pizza in one sitting. Add in a craft of red wine and you’ve got yourself the making of a great night out. Best part? There isn’t any. It’s all great — atmosphere, outdoor seating, great draft beer, delicious antipasta, a free pie on your birthday, etc… Also, I read this tip from Alexxander P. the last time we were there and it’s GREAT ! — - — - «One tip I would recommend is no matter what pizza you get, make sure to order a side of calzone sauce, you wont regret it.»

My husband and I love coming to this place for pizza. The pizza is so good. We always get a spicy chicken sausage and pepperoni. We also split a carafe of wine. It’s not the best wine but it’s yummy and you can’t beat the price. This is some of the best pizza in the area. They never seem to be super busy because it’s on the side of the mall next to dicks. So while maggianos and such have a long wait, we usually can get right in here. We have had lots of pizza all around this area and this pizza is very consistent and delicious. Also sign up for their VIP email club because you get a free one topping pizza for your birthday. It’s an amazing deal!

The décor is fun, the service is great but the pizza fell short of expectations. Brick walls, subway signs and photography on the walls, make you feel like you have truly walked into the perfect NY pizza joint. Very clean and a even a little classy, this location is a convenient stop before a movie or after a day of shopping. The service is quick and friendly. The pizza had great flavor, the sauce was very good. The crust was way too chewy. My jaw hurt after just one piece of pizza. I stopped eating because it was just to hard to do it. This pizza is not the same as Grimaldi’s NY and not the best NY style pizza in Tampa.

In a foodie world, I think talking about pizza preference is like talking about politics, religion or how much your salary is. You just don’t do it. There’s too many different types of pizzas — Chicago deep dish, Chicago thin crust, New York, Detroit, St. Louis, Mexican, etc. etc. I just don’t get why New York slices are so big, and why they have to be folded like a taco. A pizza is a pizza, & a taco is a taco. Another thing, what’s up with no sauce, why are New York pizzas scared of sauce? So I picked the pesto pizza this time. I did like it better than the red sauce. More flavor! That’s a great thing. It is always a great thing when it is free too. I’ve always been to Citrus Park, and this location was a first. It’s set in the corner, kind of hard to find. I like the layout better inside, but Citrus Park has a bigger outside area. I did like the pizza here better. If you like New York pizza, you may like this one. It is a great once a year birthday bonus for me. That’s about it. Disclaimor: I’m bias to Chicago Pizza — Deep Dish and super thin!

Tastes like an upgraded frozen pizza. I would not even categorize Grimaldi’s as New York style pizza, even though it is from Brooklyn. The prefabricated crust… The entire experience is streamlined, uniform, and only slightly pleasant. We ordered two personal sized pizzas: Pesto with pepperoni and a Regular with Sausage. To be honest, I liked the salad here more than the pizza. We had the house salad, which was all veggies with a light vinaigrette. Grimaldi’s small size salad is enough for two people, served in a large bowl and easy to serve up. For two people, I recommend ordering a personal pizza to share and a small salad to share. There are 4 – 5 salads to choose from. Pizza toppings range from $ 2-$ 5, and for a whole or half pizza topping covering they charge the same price. Save your money and agree to a topping that covers the entire pizza. Eh, next time, I’ll go to another place that has a more natural tasting pizza.

I have always loved pizza(who doesn’t?), but I’ve never truly had a slice that has blown me away. That is, until I visited Grimaldi’s. From the second you walk in, you can tell that this is more than just a pizza place. The brick interior gives you the feeling that you’re in an authentic New York pizzeria. There are a lot of black and white photos, interesting chandeliers, and checkered tablecloths. Our server was sweet and I could tell that her coworkers were the same from watching them help each other and take care of other customers. The vibe was much more upscale than I had anticipated and that’s something I can always appreciate. My group decided to go with a pepperoni and ham pizza during our recent visit. I prefer thin crust, so it was right up my alley. The brick oven allows the pizza to cook evenly and I loved the cheesy bubbles on top. The sauce and cheese melted together so perfectly. There is also an extensive beer and wine list. I was a little under the weather during my visit, but I can only imagine how much better my meal would’ve been with a glass of wine. I wish that we had saved room for dessert as well, because the cannolis looked great. On the table, I saw a sign for a lunch special including a personal pizza, salad, and drink for under $ 9.00. I guess it’s a good thing that I don’t work in the area, because I would definitely be a frequent customer. Grimaldi’s even offers a free large pizza for your birthday when you sign up for their emails! How awesome is that? As if I needed any more incentive to go!

Now, that’s a darn good pizza! I’ve stuffed a LOT of pizza down this gullet over the years, and this is one of… no, this is THE best pizza I’ve ever had that I didn’t make myself. All of the ingredients were super, super duper fresh! Everything from the dough to the cheese was the absolute best. The sauce was full of flavor! All the toppings were SO fresh and tasty! We also had a salad before the pizza. Also, very fresh ingredients! Delicious dressing, and the parmesan was fresh off the block. The dining area was super comfortable, and perfectly decorated. I could spend all day in there. The staff super friendly, and very attentive. I really can’t think of anything negative about this place. Will definitely go back, and I recommend checking this place out!

My third visit to this place and I absolutely love the décor. The atmosphere is very much like a firehouse in Brooklyn because of the doors that roll up and lights that are wine bottles! You can also see the parts of the kitchen where pizza makers toss up the dough and red table cloth. For the food(obviously) the Caesar salad is delicious and the small size is perfect for two! As for the entrée, we both agree on a small calzone and it is enough for both with some leftovers! I would recommend this place to anyone for your NY-style of pizza and staff being professional, courteous and caring(walked in with a crutch and she put them in a corner).

Best thin crust New York style pizza I’ve ever had. I’m not a huge pizza lover, but my husband is; as a result, I’ve had my fair share of pizzas. Grimaldi’s stands out above the numerous pizza joints and restaurants serving pizza. The crust is super thin and it’s not burnt nor soggy. It’s baked just right with enough crisp to hold up toppings and sauce, and the sauce is good! It has a hint of sweet that goes perfect with the melted mozzarella. The restaurant is located at Westshore Mall by Dick’s Sporting Goods best accessible by Kennedy. Turn left once you enter the mall. If you’re in the mall, it’s close to the kids’ play area. You walk in and it’s warm and inviting with wine bottle lanterns, framed old black and whites of New York City and celebrities, brick walls, an open pizza oven, garage doors on one side, red and white plaid table cloths, and a bar stretched on one side. It’s a great setting for a casual lunch or a romantic dinner. You can’t beat the lunch special though. You get a nice size personal pan pizza for $ 5! Only a dollar or two more for toppings and salads can be added on. On the regular menu is a larger personal size, a small(enough for two), and a large(enough for four). There’s an extensive list of toppings to choose from. Save room for dessert. You can choose three perfectly-sized portions for sampling and sharing for $ 10! Tiramisu and cheesecakes are my favorite. Service has never failed us except once on the patio when a server never greeted us we left. We usually go for lunch and have the same server who I’ll ask got next time. He is so attentive, professional, and pleasant. It completes the great dining experience.
