Second visit to the station came away more impressed with the food. Pizza here is excellent a must try had small pepperoni pie it was on point that using all my fingers cant wait to try other options. But the real surprise star of the night was thai peanut chicken wings a new flavor was on menu since the last time i was here. Mmmmm is all i have to say so good i love the thai wings but this new favorite here on the wing menu seriously stupid good. Add live tv’s yes they play old movies on one and sports on the others. Love dj on fridays im guessing outside and comic book geek vibe and u have a nice neighborhood pizza bar wings hangout with local brew on tap. Im going give it a 5 but if could a 4 and a half service is okay but ill just have have a hard time with having to awkwardly get a service at crowded bar and they dont have sign telling u that.

If you aren’t looking for it you’ll probably miss it being that it’s a renovated gas station. The décor and crowd is hip and welcoming. I’m glad to see this type of establishment is doing well on Nebraska so hopefully Seminole Heights is finally growing to have two main drags instead of just everything on Florida. As much as I wanted to love this place the food was just so lackluster that I can’t give more then two stars. I ordered a calzone; chicken, mushroom, cheese and onion. It was very bland and was not seasoned at all. While the portion was large(it’s shaped more like a filled ring vs the half moon stuffed pita shape) the filling was not consistent throughout. I intended to share this but it was very obvious that one side was missing the onions… a totally different taste for my guest :(. If you’re going for a beer in you live within walking distance this is probably a good choice, otherwise wasn’t worth the drive.

Hampton Station is a fun & funky neighborhood pizza, wings, and craft beer spot in Seminole Heights. Look for a refurbished gas station just south of the Publix on Nebraska Avenue, two blocks south of Hanna. Outside, under the covered carport are a series of picnic tables and a big screen TV. Inside, is the bar and a few high-top tables. The place is small, but it has an intimate neighborhood feel. The menu has several different types of pizza, along with a build-it-yourself option for people who just can’t get enough anchovies, pineapple, and feta cheese on their pies. I ordered the 16″ Supreme which came with pepperoni, sausage, ham, green peppers, red onions, and mushrooms — and took about ¾ths of the pizza home for another day. In addition to pizza they have calzones, salads, chili, and wings. Oh, and beer… several different types of craft beer on tap so that you can have a frosty cold Adult beverage while you wait for your pie to cook. You place your order with the bartender, and pay right away. Rather than take your name, they assign you a superhero action figure to carry to your table. In my case it was Spiderman(Fanboi cheer of excitement!), and I proudly displayed the web-slinging statuette on my table while sipping my Blackthorn Apple Cider and waiting on my dinner. There are four or five tables inside, as well as seats at the bar, and of course there were picnic tables outside for larger groups. It’s not a real large place, but it’s perfect for Seminole Heights. They also offer carryout if you don’t want to eat it there. Place your order, grab your superhero, and chill out while they prepare your food.

It’s not officially the weekend without at least one trip to Hampton Station. This relatively new addition to Seminole Heights deftly manages to maintain its broad appeal simply by providing excellent food, service and craft beer in a casual, welcoming atmosphere. The Food: The pizza is great. Thin crust with just enough chew. Fresh toppings(the sausage is actual, sliced sausage and the mushrooms never saw the inside of a can), tangy sauce and plenty of cheese. The wings come in a variety of flavors and are always cooked just right. Crispy outside, never greasy. I favor the hot wings but family members assure me that the Thai and the Jerk are even better. The calzones are huge. I’ve had the Cheese Steak and enjoyed it thoroughly. There’s chili, too, but I haven’t tried it. AND, unlike some other spots in the Heights, it’s CONSISTENT. Same guys in the kitchen all the time. Same high quality all the time. Tuesday or Friday — always good. The Beer: Balanced, rotating selection of cold, craft drafts and an extensive list of cans and bottles. Lots of local options as well as ones from across the country. My wife’s a wino(um, I mean she’s a drinker of wine) and has always enjoyed their numerically small but carefully chosen, affordable options. Atmosphere: This is what clinches the deal for me. Hampton Station has the feel of a true«local». Small groups in their 20’s and 30’s, couples in their forties or fifties, gay, straight, with kids, without kids, with dogs, without dogs — all are welcome and all feel at home. Heck, I’ve even walked in all by myself for a quiet beer. The«big game» might be on a big screen outside or an old movie on one of the several wall-mounted TV’s inside. Eclectic(overused but true in this case) tunes always rockin’ in the background. Remember: You have to order at the bar. It’s not a hassle because the staff are attentive and friendly. Troy, Katie and the rest can and will help. Wishes: Although Hampton Station is clearly abiding by the adage that doing one or two things and doing them well is better than doing many things poorly, I still think Seminole Heights is in SERIOUS need of a place for a consistent, affordable burger. Just sayin’. Love this place. And, no, I don’t work there or own the place.

YAY, PIZZA! Checked out Hampton Station Pizza in Seminole Heights. So glad we decided to grab dinner here tonight. This is a no frills pizza/bar located in an old gas station next to Publix. They have indoor seating either at bar tables or at the bar, of you can dine outside under the covered street side patio. We placed our pizza and drink order at the bar and then let our server know we would be sitting at an outside table. Food/drinks came out in about 15 minutes, hot and bubbly. The pizza is a typical NY style crust, so it’s thin a bit crisp crust with a very slight chew. We liked the dough. I also liked that the sauce and cheese went all the way to the edge, minimal«uncovered crust». We pretty much ate the whole thing. Yeah, it was a good pizza. Order was 2 cans of beer, 2 root-beers and a large 1 topping(pepperoni) pizza total was $ 32 plus tip. Glad we checked it out, might become a new pizza place in our neighborhood pizza rotation. TIP: order directly at the bar… on and they have beer/soda pizza and wings.(limited menu)

I gave this place 3 stars because I felt it was a step above the heights pizza location. That being said its not the best either. I’ve come to the conclusion out of all the«height» pizza spot, Lee’s grocery has to be my fav! Then comes Cappy’s, this place, and then the heights pizza. Don’t get me wrong this place was a nice hangout spot with outdoor seating, craft beer options, and wings.

A much-needed neighborhood bar and pizza joint nestled in the Hampton Terrace area of Seminole Heights. I have watched several businesses come and go in this spot but I think they’ve finally nailed it with the type of business this area needed. It is a no-frills place with a good selection of craft beer and yummy pizza. What more could you want? The wings are also great, very juicy with a lot of meat on them. This used to be a gas station(or so I assume), and the pump area is now an outdoor patio perfect for breezy evenings. The patio is dog friendly, too. Staff is friendly and welcoming, which definitely helps give it a neighborhood bar feeling. Looking forward to many visits here!

Sorely disappointed. Walked in Friday night to eat, drink and watch some post-season baseball. Sat down at a 4 top table and mulled over the short menu for roughly 5 minutes wondering if anyone would acknowledge me. Finally, I decide to move to the bar, and when putting the menu back on the table, I noticed an advert card on the table stating to place orders at the bar. Once at the bar, the two ladies whizzed by making no eye contact for another 3 or 4 minutes. I ordered a draft beer and 10″ cheese pizza. I then sent a text to a friend and pulled up some baseball on my mobile device. Once I got halfway thru my beer, I noticed the guy working the oven in trouble. He was struggling with something in there, and the next thing you know, the entire place fills up with a plume of smoke and the dreadful smell of severely burnt popcorn. The smoke was thick enough to cut with a knife, like being in some 70’s Afghani opium den. Thankfully, the one staff members suggested opening up all of the doors. Once the smoke subsided, the gentleman beside me asked for the status of his order, citing that he had been waiting for 40 minutes. Probably an exaggeration, but he was there before me and looked a bit upset. The bartender told him it would be a «few more minutes» and offered him a free beer for the wait, to which he accepted. More time passed and neither of us had our pizzas, so I looked at the time, which was 8:46PM. Then, I checked what time I sent the text, which was immediately after ordering, and realized I had been waiting 20 minutes. So, I got the attention of the bartender and checked on my order, and she said they just put it in the oven. It takes roughly 12 – 14 minutes to cook a 10 pie in a deck-style gas oven. This means, I’d be a minimum of 30 minutes into my visit before sinking my teeth into a slice of pizza. I hadn’t eaten since 10AM, and at this point I was becoming hangry, so I just cancelled the order and went elsewhere. The bartender gave me the beer for free, which was nice, but I would have rather had the pie. Based on the reviews from my fellow Unilocalies, I clearly caught them on a bad night, so I’m not writing Hampton Station off just yet. Not sure when I will get back to The Heights to give them a second try, but I’ll do my best. Hampton staff, fire up your second deck on Friday and Saturday nights. It’s unacceptable for any pizza joint to run one deck on the busiest nights of the week. You guys could have had the queued pizzas cooking down below whilst struggling with whatever went wrong inside the top deck.

My first visit. I got Supreme pizza and hot wings. The pizza looked great with fresh looking ingredients and was cooked perfectly. Both the wings and pizza were so salty I could barely stand it. I made it through a piece and a half and I was done. Taste your cooking and back off on the salt. I’d rather add it myself than not be able to get away from it.

I’m so glad Hampton Station has found it’s home at the end of my street! I’ve been sad to see 2 businesses close down in this location– but I think Hampton Station is exactly what was needed here… a low key bar with a good beer selection and delicious pizza. The Hampton Terrace area is sat right between the Mermaid and the Independent… so when driving a mile seems too far, we now have this place! Service is friendly. Atmosphere is laid back. Pizza, calzones & wings are fresh and made to order! Have a great craft beer(bottles and draft) selection… in fact, I don’t think they have anything but craft beer. as well as cider on tap. With NFL sunday ticket and 3 large TVs inside, it’s a great small sports bar. On Sundays(maybe Saturdays too but I’m not sure) they roll out a 4thTV to the outdoor area. Outdoor seating area is dog friendly– bones and dog bowls for water are provided at the entrance. Great place to stop if you’ve had a rough trip at Publix across the street ;)

We went today for the 1st time and were very pleased. They have a great neighborhood feel. Love the décor and the vibe inside. We ordered pizza with lots of toppings and an order of extra crispy wings. The pizza was excellent, without a doubt the best pizza we have had in a long time. The toppings were fresh and the crust is crispy and delicious. The wings were great too. We ordered mild sauce and I still thought it was hot, lol, but the wings were great! They had great flavor. We will definitely be eating there again. They are an awesome addition to Seminole Heights!

Perfect neighborhood bar: plenty of seats inside and out, televisions on the wall, cool reclaimed wood bar top, friendly bartender, and plenty of craft beer and cider in bottles and on tap to work your way through. I stopped in for lunch — for now they are just serving lunch on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday — but they hope to increase that once they build up their clientele. They open for lunch at noon, but apparently that means they turn the fryers on at noon, so by the time I had the wings I ordered, it was almost 12:30 pm. No biggie since I wasn’t in a hurry, but if you have limited time for lunch, be aware. Generous portion of wings came in a tasty hot buffalo sauce with three little celery sticks and ramekin of blue cheese dressing. Food options are whole pizzas, calzones, or wings. It would be nice if they expand those options a bit — I would have loved to have fries with my wings. Next on my list is to try the pizza — everybody has been raving about it, and I can’t wait to go back, hang out, and indulge.

There is nothing to say about this place other than… it is a wonderful neighborhood hangout for pizza, great beers, and fantastic wings and calzones! Because they are so close to our home in Hampton Terrace, we visit at least twice per month. The pizza is fantastic– fresh NY ingredients– you can’t go wrong! We usually get the meat pizza, it’s delicious thin crust goodness. The wings are amazing. We usually alternate between naked wings and Sweet Thai Chili. The wings are plump, crispy and delicious– every time! I am curious though– for Brittany that ordered jerk wings(though it was«not her choice») did someone twist your arm? Why order something that you apparently know that you don’t like then slam the restaurant because of your poor choice? Seriously? Kathy– HAMPTONSTATION– station– Station– STATION!!! They have a great selection of standard and craft beers as well. But the other great thing about Hampton Station are the people that own it– Troy is amazing and very community focused. He cares about his neighbors, his product and the experience at his restaurant. This is a great place to meet friends and family for a meal, or just for a beer. We are huge fans! i

Living in Seminole Heights I was very excited to have another local spot to frequent. I have been here a handful of times with mixed reviews. That is why it earns 3 stars. The first time the pizza was great and the beer was locally brewed and ice cold. The most recent time not so enjoyable. We(my husband and I) sat at the bar and ordered a calzone and wings. We watched our food die in the window while what I can only imagine was the owner downing his beer placed under the drafts. Not cool guy. The calzone had a sweet taste to the dough. Not sure if the pizza is made from the same dough. I’m assuming… Nonetheless it was too sweet but I was hungry and ate it anyways. We ordered the wings jerk style not my choice. Not so good. We didn’t finish them. Additionally, it was so stinking hot in there… Turn the A/C on… It’s so tiny it can’t cost that much to cool this place. When will I be back. Hard to say… I know if it’s for pizza I’ll definitely be going to Cappys. Better luck next time I hope.

First let me start by apologizing to Troy & the great people at Hampton Place. My first review was less than stellar, it was really bad. I returned this past Thursday & what an amazing difference. This little redone gas station was a hub of activity. There was one lone bar stool left for me. The vibe from the patrons was charged, but laid back. The staff was super personable, quick & accomodating. The interior is quite eclectic, with odd signs & neon on the bright orange walls & behind the bar, quite the collection of a ton figures. I got a supreme Pixma with sausage, ham, pepperoni, onions, green peppers and mushrooms. The veges were sautéed ed or nuked, prior to placement on the pizza. This was really a nice change, aren’t you tired of raw veggies on your pizza. The crust was perfect, if you are a thin crust lover like me. It was nice & crispy, totally well cooked & even the dormer was no more than ¼ inch thick. Half the time I pull topping off the crust, as there is too much crust & I seldom eat the rim of the pizza, because it is way to big, too crusty, dry & devoid of any real flavor, not the case here, I ate all of the crust, because it was properly prepared & executed. Needless to say it was too much pizza for me, so I got the rest to go & it was great the next day. I saw the wings, which looked delectable & patrons were having no problems eating them, very quickly, which leads me to believe they are quite good. I was suprised the wine offerings were fairly decent. I can’t say the prices were high, I would just like a more substantial pour. When I am in the zone with my pizza, I prefer a carafe of wine to be shared or a ½ carafe or bottle for me. I just want to chill, enjoy my pizza, drink my wine & leave reality behind. Trust me the wine situation is not just here, it has become a terrible plague in Tampa. Beer drinkers know exactly what they are getting. In Tampa wine seems to go from a 3 ounce to a 9 ounce pour, how ludicrous. Just give me a glass of wine ¾ full & most wine drinkers will be happy, I would. Once again my apologies to Hampton station for my first review, my second visit, has erased the first! What’s a girl to do? Keep looking for the perfect pizza & wine to match it.

So I actually drove past this place about four times before I realized it wasn’t a gas station. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because of how long the food took. We got there and found out it would be about a 40 minute wait for a pie. We had our dogs with us so we decided to go home and come back for the pie. Hampton Station is however dog friendly. Another guest informed us of the dog treats inside and brought us some. When we did finally get home with the food it was amazing. We ordered the veggie pie and added pepperoni. The veggies were really fresh and covered the entire pie. The sauce was really great as well. I am from New York and I tend to dislike any pizza I eat in Florida because they can’t even compare to NY pizza. But this one put up a great fight. The wings and atmosphere were also really good.

Why 4 stars? Because everything that touches Seminole Heights is gold. — — — I may be biased, but I feel like my neighborhood can do no wrong. I’m not going to claim that this was the best pizza I’ve ever had, or even in the top 10… but I also know that I visited during the first week, and that Hampton Station has plenty of time to perfect their craft. The business next to Publix has long been operated by more of the old school Seminole Heights. The new hipster generation took this space over, and it looks GREAT! Craft beer, pizza, and wings. I hear burgers will be around soon as well, and I’ll be back as soon as that’s true. It’s amazing what a can of paint, string lights, and a cool sign will do for a place. It completely transformed from non-descript to trendy, in a very short period of time. The old gas station cover over the patio has turned out to be super convenient to keep outside diners dry during the rainy season. I’m stoked that Hampton Station opened its doors, and I’ll definitely be back!

Yay for another great new business in Seminole Heights! I was, of course, happy to hear that Hampton Station was on the way. When I found out that a bike beer crawl that I was attending would be stopping at Hampton Station, I was excited. I must say, Hampton Station did a great job of accommodating our massive bicycle gang even after just opening. Hampton Station is a smaller pizza joint, also offering craft beer and wings. While the inside isn’t that big, there is a large outdoor patio. They have a pretty good beer selection(which isn’t surprising as 2 Independent bartenders opened the place). I got to try the pizza and it was delicious. Rumor has it that they will eventually offer burgers, too. Hampton Station will definitely enter my Seminole Heights food rotation. I foresee this being a sports spot for me as the big screen tvs, pizza, and beer are quite inviting!
