If you are a meat purest this a fun trailer setup to check out. The ribs are very good. Not the smokiest I have had but meaty and delicious. Wood smoked. Real deal. Very substantial portion. I assume the other smoked meats are very good too. The sides are just okay. Tasty but I don’t think homemade. Ice the chef’s name. He’s been smokin’ up for 21 years. There are some chairs and a picnic table. More of a to go place I would say. especially if you let the flies bug you.

Great food, friendly service, food cart This place is one of the best bbq places in Tampa. Their turkey leg and ribs are to die for. That’s really all they serve but they do it very well. The sides are above average but I think he buys them rather than making from scratch. He only had potato salad and baked beans. The food is very cheap. The service is very friendly The place is in the hood but at no point did I feel uncomfortable. This is the type of place where you pick up food to go or you eat in your car. I ate at their picnic table and got like 7 fly bites. If you haven’t gone, go and pick up a turkey leg

Let me put it like this. I use to go to Busch Gardens for the turkey legs alone. After tasting these smoked turkey legs from Ice Cream… i dont miss them at all. I hate to say the same thing everyone else is saying, but it is literally falling off the bone. There is no way you can pick it up and walk around eating it. His BBQ sauce that he makes is outstanding also. You have to try it out. You won’t be dissappointed!!!

A friend and I were in search for a delicious turkey leg but thought, where does one find such a thing unless there is some type of fair or festival going on? Naturally we Unilocaled and found this lovely gem. It is a little food truck and no they do not serve ice cream but they do serve amazing fall off the bone turkey legs! The man running the food goes by the name of «Ice Cream» and was so incredibly nice. He let us check out the turkey legs before he wrapped them up for us. We sat down at the picnic table behind the food truck to indulge. We attempted to take a photo holding the turkey leg up but it literally fell off of the bone. They turkey leg was so smokey and delicious it didn’t even need the bbq sauce or hot sauce that«Ice Cream» offered us. He also gave each of us a large cup of his«old fashioned» lemonade which was also delicious. I would recommend this sketchy little food truck to everyone!

Why still 5 stars? Because I finally tried the turkey legs. — — — I love the ribs so much here that it was tough to stray from them. But I was in the mood for a turkey leg, so I went for it. It was incredibly messy, but possibly the best I have ever had. This truck is one of the best kept secrets in Tampa Bay. He should have a line constantly wrapped down the street!

Great Turkey Legs! I can’t speak on BBQ here, but the turkey legs are delicious. I’ll get right to the specifics. For $ 7 you can enjoy one of the best turkey legs you will ever put up to your mouth with sauce included or on the side. He does offer a variety of side items with good portion sizes that should satisfy majority of us. On a side note — If you are feeling generous you can go to your nearest carnival/Six Flags and pay $ 15+ for a below average leg and overcooked fries. No drink of course.

It’s amazing how the best barbeque always seems to come from these little roadside stands, and Ice Cream’s Delicious Turkey Legs and BBQ is one of the rockstars in Tampa for cranking out some incredibly wonderful smoked meats. Drop south on 22nd Street, just 2 blocks south of Hillsborough Avenue and watch for the little red trailer tucked under the trees. You’ll be able to smell the smoke as you approach, and no doubt you’ll see a line of people waiting for their chance to order some damn good barbeque. The menu is very simple… ribs, thin ends, barbequed chicken, and smoked turkey legs. The sides are baked beans, potato salad and sweet potato pie. On Thursdays and Friday’s he also makes collard greens and Mac & Cheese. He’ll wrap everything up in foil if you want to take it to go, or you can sit on the picnic bench under the trees and eat it right there. If you choose to sit outside on the picnic bench watch out for the ants and the flies — in fact I’d suggest a good spray-down with Off so you don’t get bitten by the fire ants. Ice Cream is the nickname of the cook, owner, and guy in the truck, sort of a jack of all trades who really knows how to smoke the meat and produce some homemade sauce that has a nice kick. Very personable guy who is proud of what comes out of his smoker — and rightly so. This is some incredibly tasty barbeque. The meat is flavorful, but not dried out. The ribs were still juicy, and fall-off-the-bone delicious. My girlfriend ordered the smoked chicken, and she was in heaven. I liked everything so much that I ordered a smoked turkey leg to have for dinner later tonight. Ice Cream wrapped the turkey leg in several sheets of aluminum foil and gave me some extra barbeque sauce. When it’s time for dinner, I’ll just cut the meat off the bone, add the sauce, and re-heat. The food is stellar, and you’re in for a real treat when you eat here!

Thin ends and collards was what my stomach demanded today, and I did not disappoint it.

Ice Cream doesn’t just sell turkey legs. He sells Delicious turkey legs. Doubt me? Check the side of his truck. Says so right there. And its true. In fact, delicious doesn’t quite explain the splendor that is the mighty turkey leg served by the one called Ice Cream. Thanksgiving was less than a week ago and today I ordered a turkey leg… I don’t know why. I walked up to the truck and maybe it was the billowing, smokey, wonderful smells coming from the stack that got to my head, but I stood there not knowing what to order. When asked for a second time what I wanted, I simply blurted out, Turkey Leg! Like a mesmerized Ralphie when asked by Santa what he wanted for Christmas. Instead of football, I blindly spouted off the only thing that came to mind. Turkey Leg. Watching Ice Cream wrap the leg in aluminum foil, he seemed like a sort of BBQ Santa. Three layers of wrapping to ensure it stayed hot. This guy’s awesome. I could sit here and explain how good this turkey leg ends up being, how the meat just fell off the bone and was moist, smokey and amazing but really this is something you should experience for yourself. Get a side of BBQ sauce too. I don’t know if he makes it himself but its good. Now naturally, I couldn’t just eat my turkey leg by itself, so I also added a side of potato salad… this side of potato salad could work for two people, maybe three and was only $ 2.50. And much like its poultry partner… pretty darn good. Ill be back Ice Cream. And next time Ill be ready. Ribs please?
