I just received an email that this location is closed down. The only 2 remaining in the area are on Fowler Ave and in Clearwater.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to deli food. I am learning that being diabetic doesn’t mean you can’t eat well, you just have to make wiser choices. Vegetarians will love this place as well. Jason’s is my number one pick for several reasons. Besides the fact that their food is delicious, they are health conscious and have a wide variety of foods for people like me with dietary restrictions. Meats do not contain carbohydrate so they do not raise blood glucose levels. A balanced meal plan usually has about 2 – 5 ounces of meat. Their website says they are the first major restaurant to ban trans fat and high fructose corn syrup without government intervention. I applaud their forward thinking. You can find organic, gluten sensitive food here and lots of it. Besides sandwiches, which are humongous, they serve salad, soup, wraps, pasta, and more. I ordered a turkey and cheese on wholegrain bread and of course extra pickles for lunch today. It also came with a bag of chips, which I gave away, and cost me $ 6.41. I picked this up to go but have eaten inside many times and have never had a complaint with their service or the food. I believe they give students and seniors a discount as well. Oh… and they deliver as well. Give Jasons Deli a try and drop me a line to let me know what you think.

Helpful staff, clean, and fresh made to order food. It wasn’t great, and although the Salad Bar contains several organic products… it’s very limited. The thing that got me was the price… it’s a bit on the pricey side. I had a Salad, Sandwich, and a drink and it was $ 13.75. Plus it’s located next to Whiskey North, so don’t come here after dark or you might get stabbed in the neck by the clientele there.

Had lunch with my mom and sister, we all enjoyed our experience. The only drawback was that the man taking our order seemed to be new and didn’t really know the menu very well. My mom had a tomato basil soup, my sister ordered a california club and I had a chicago club. All our items were fresh and delicious. I specifically liked the herbed focacia on my sandwich, it is one of my favorite breads.

I came to love Jason’s Deli from getting lunch from here years ago at the Fowler location while working in the area. Now I frequent the Dale Mabry location. I have never eaten inside the restaurant, but will try to soon and check out the wonderful looking salad bar. No matter what you’re in the mood for or what your taste is, you will find something here you will like. If you are training for an upcoming race or competition, this is also a good place. My family agrees the beefeater sandwich is our favorite. I also enjoy either the Club Lite or the Club Royal, and Chef Salad. We also like the corned beef and/or pastrami sandwiches, but I haven’t gotten them in a while. My vegetarian friend likes the Zucchini Garden Pasta, and a relative likes the Tuna Melt sandwich, but not with cheese. Our preferences with soup are Tomato Basil and Broccoli Cheese. The service is always friendly and fast and because my take-out orders tend to be full with soup and au jus containers, they are always careful in how to pack it, which is very much appreciated.

We’re usually not big fans of chain restaurants, but the issues with chains are much less prominent with lunch fare so Jason’s is one of our favorite lunch spots. It’s one of only a few places in Tampa that serves muffuletta sandwiches and the ones at Jason’s are among the best that I’ve had outside of Louisiana. We also like that they make a point to use healthy ingredients in their food and that they have some unique non-soda beverages. The restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly.

Jason’s Deli is a terrific spot when you’re in the mood for soup, salad, and sandwiches. The Deli is located on the east side of Dale Mabry Highway, in the same little strip mall as Whiskey Park North and Edwin Watts Golf. The menu offers a wide mix of options from their soups and made-to-order sandwiches, paninis, pastas, salads, along with a nice-sized salad bar and a soft-serve ice cream machine for those who clear their plates.(Well, that’s what my Mom always used to say…) I’m a big fan of their Muffaletta sandwich with a cup of soup combo, and I also like their Sergeant Pepper, which is ½ pound of hot roast beef, sautéed onions and bell peppers, provolone, mayo on New Orleans French bread with a cup of au jus. You place your order at the front counter, pay right away, and then sit at the table while they prepare your meal. You wander to the back counter at your convenience to pour your drinks, collect straws, and napkins. The restaurant is fast and efficient, and great for families and larger groups.

Jason’s Deli is solidly okay. On one hand, not a ringing endorsement but on the other, the few menu items I really like are predictably good and reliable. And who doesn’t love having a soft serve cone while waiting for your food? I like a few of their soups, but wish there was more variety rather than same ones over and over. I enjoy their version of a muffaletta and like the option to use turkey rather than salami. I also like the Meatballa — good meatballs in a flavorful sauce with a nice blanket of melted cheese on top. They are a little too eager to slap avocado on things, which is why I don’t order most of the rest of the menu. Overall, nice casual place to have a meal and this location never seems overcrowded. Might be a good spot for a bookclub or other meetup.

I really like this place. Fast and simple, good food. Given, I’ve only had their nutty salad which I love, and bites of my boyfriend’s smokey jack panini and broccoli cheddar soup, but it’s consistently hot and good. Free ice cream. Staff is really nice. A great place for a quick, good bite. MUCH better than Panera.

I ordered the ruben it was ok not enough dressing for me prob wont order again. My hubby ordered the NewYork Yankee it was mounds of hot corn-beef and he said it was really good. You get a choice of regular or baked chips and a pickle. The best part of all though was the all u can eat ice cream vanilla, chocolate or a twist they offered cones or a cup some chocolate syrup.

My first time eating at Jason’s Deli and I was presently surprised! I ordered the Club Royale and loved it. Tasted great and felt nice and light(but very filling), the chips and pickle were tasty as well. The baked potatoes looked fantastic. The salad bar looked so fresh and delicious with so much to choose from. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, everything sounded great. A++

This place is an awesome lunch spot. Soups, salad bar, sandwiches, soft serve ice cream, tons of seating. You could eat here several times a week and never feel like it’s a routine. I’m not sure if they’re completely organic or mostly, but I like their sense on environmental responsibility. I got a custom made sandwich– toasted whole grain with turkey, avo, cheddar, lettuce, and tomato. It was delicious as were the chips they came with. But boy, was I eyeing that salad bar when I wandered over for my drink. It looked so fresh with tons of variety and extra little nibbles like mini cornbread muffins and brownie muffins… at least I think they were brownie muffins– I’ll let you know next time I visit ;)
