You know you’re a career server when you can be 3 feet away from customers still be on the clock and loudly FaceTime with your boyfriend then proceed to make 3 other calls right afterwards one about fake eyelashes, keep your feet on the next chair at the bar, play with your hair while polishing water glasses & think we care that you’re to going to your grandmothers beach house. I would have fired her on the spot; this woman is a liability and useless!

The food is really great and price is right. I’ve been there over 20 times and the food hasn’t disappointed me yet. This would be a 5 star place but… and I’m not racist but the Asian staff is the worst. I will not even sit at a table where I see them as a waiter. They are very rude and ALWAYS forget to put in all your food. I asked 4 times for something on 1 occassion and it never came. I went to a different person on the 5th occassion and suddenly got it. Not sure why they are all so mean and ruin every food order. If you’re expecting great service, you may need to skip this place.

Came in here for dinner with my brother. 18.99 is good price for dinner. However, server took too long to bring out the food where all of our food was cold. Sashimi portion was OK. Steak and any beef type dinner was over cooked to where it was really rubbery and chewy and even hard… Hibachi was not as good as I thought… Other sushi maki was ok. Me and my brother was actually disappointed how food came out. Salt and pepper shrimp was good though. Overall, my brother and I are not going to come back here. It was our first time here and it was actually not as good as I expected compared to other all you can eat sushi places that are around same price range.

I love this place, I really do. Unfortunately tonight was a horrible night. I waited an hour to get my food, the waitress tried to blame it on the kitchen staff, she forgot to put in our order, yet there were a lot of things she could have done better. Drink never refilled, no attention to other patrons in her section, they all had empty cups as well. At the expense of sounding rude, I would like to point out the noticeable difference between the Asian waitstaff(great service, very attentive, never had a bad experience) and American waitstaff(always something wrong, not attentive, lack of service and no accountability). Ps. What gives lately? I feel like it could start snowing at any moment it’s so cold.

Sushi is pretty good and the lunch price is a steal. I came with a bunch of coworkers at about 1130 on a Wednesday. They wanted to beat the lunch rush. Well there isn’t really a lunch rush so we didn’t have to worry. That being said, it will still take forever between rolls. Make sure you order everything you want the first time around. By the time we got our second servings, most people didn’t even want them. That’s how they get you! But for the good, the sushi is pretty fresh. They have a good variety. I wish they had more specialty rolls, but the ones I had were pretty good. The only one I wasn’t a big fan of was the Volcano roll. Also, I would avoid the edamame. It was kind of bland. Otherwise, the other rolls were delicious. I don’t remember what we got, since we tried almost all of the specialty rolls, but they were all great. The green tea ice cream wasn’t very good. However, I did like the sesame balls. For the price of $ 11.99, I can’t really complain. Luckily, I don’t live anywhere near here, or else I would probably double my size!

Lunch with my teammates from work. I love good sushi and sashimi, and love to cook /eat traditional Japanese food, so I am a hard sell with the kind of food you get in the big buffets and all you can eat joints. This was better than expected… Pan fried Gyoza were pretty good. Sushi was edible and tasty. I only ate one roll, since I was trying to be somewhat reasonable. Hibachi chicken and steak was ok, as long as you don’t expect what you get at a real Japanese Hibachi restaurant with the chefs and flying knives! A single portion was small. but you can order it multiple times if you want! Meat may have been stir fried, or steamed. I really couldn’t tell. Sauces were a bit bland. There was no real Teppan Yaki, or even an option to order it. No rice was served either… although I am sure you could get some if you wanted. Desert was a tempura banana… again, edible(hey, it is a battered and deep fried banana, right?). Sweet Dough… basically a deep fried canned biscuit… ehhh. Considering the price, and how you can continue to eat until you can’t eat anymore… it is not bad. Although personally I would prefer less food, and more quality… but that is me. Staff was awesome, very friendly… and food arrived very fast also. If you like the all you can eat type of place with less than stellar food, for a cheap price… you will love this place. I might even go back sometime.

Wow, AMAZING!!! It was my first time here and the food was delish along with excellent service. You literally pay $ 11.99(lunch is until 3p) and can eat anything from the menu. Food is prepared and cooked fresh upon each order and just awesome. YEN was our server and he truly went above and beyond to make it an amazing experience despite how busy they were. He make great recommendations and kept checking on us to make sure everything was good. Can’t wait to go back!!!

I was kind of hesitant to come here since I’ve been going to Koizi since it opened and I must say I’m glad I gave it a chance. Got to see Peter and glad he’s doing well. Besides that the sushi was really good, what is supposed to be fried it actually came out hot, not even warm HOT so will definitely be coming again.

It bothers me how this restaurant is not as well known as Koizi but i must play fair and list all the pros & cons as I would with any other restaurants/businesses. Pros: Quality of the sushi/hibachi/etc is surprisingly good for how much you pay. You can kinda instantaneously taste it as soon as you try one of their rolls/la carte/hibachi. I personally don’t think their Hibachi is not much different than any other endless sushi & hibachi restaurants. i would rate their service a little bit less than average. Overall, you’ll be very satisfied for price and food you get here. Totally worth. Cons: This goes almost without saying. You get penalized for having leftovers. I personally didn’t have any problems with it but you have to pay certain amount of price(per piece) for not finishing your food. I don’t think it’s strictly enforced so eat at your own risk. I heard few people complaining that their food quality went down drastically when they dined there towards closing hour. Giving them the benefit of doubt, it might be a wise move to avoid eating there near closing hour. But don’t take my words for it.

SUSHISNOB I AMNOT but I swear some people can eat balls of rice wrapped in seaweed, DRIPPINGWITHASMUCHEELSAUCEANDSPICYMAYO as if a tsunami of kitchen spices fell on it and as long as it contains a sliver of fish… it’s a specialty sushi roll. THAT’S HOWMOSTOFSAKIGOES. I’ll stick to my sashimi. On the flip side I CAN’T COMPLAINTOOMUCH cuz sometimes I just need to become a Godzilla tearing through mountains of sushi. And shumai and crab Rangoon — did I mention APPETIZERS, DESSERTS, ANDHIBACHIAREINCLUDED in the all you can eat? So for now I’ll turn a BLINDEYETOWARDSTHEQUALITY since nearby sushi restaurants also hide behind saucy fish. CAN’T BEATTHATPRICE therefore. I’m pretty sure I saw a turtle RACE by the servers. Yeah I get this isn’t a buffet and you actually have to order each piece, but I’m pretty sure THISPLACEISUNDERSTAFFED. Yet so busy.

I have to preface this with a confession. I’m not a fan of Sushi. However, most sushi places do offer other items so I certainly didn’t go hungry. And I did try one of my hubby’s Dynamite sushi and it was ok. The ambiance is clean and modern looking. The service was good, with the exception of the food runner who looked confused and didn’t speak above a whisper. The server recommended some of her favorite dishes but didn’t know what was in some of the other items. Not a biggie. We came for the lunch deal and you do get as much food as you can muster for a pretty good deal at $ 11.99 pp. I ordered an avocado salad which is the same as their house salad with the addition of avocados. They were a bit on the brown side and sliced thinner than Twiggy on a diet! The ginger dressing was tasty. Next on to a bowl of miso soup. Unremarkable but not overly salty so thumbs up to that. The crab rangoons were so so, not the best I’ve had or made for that matter. I tried the shrimp and veggie hibachi and wouldn’t order that again. The veggies were overcooked and the shrimp soggy. We also tried the fried tofu and it came with so much sauce on it that it broke apart when you tried picking it up. The veggie tempura I had was ok, kinda bland and hard to mess up but it wasn’t greasy so that’s a plus. Bottom line, if you want to indulge in mass quantities of sushi, hibachi, teriyaki and such for reasonable price, you came to the right place. Buyer beware, if you don’t finish your sushi, you get charged. Confucius say, finish your plate, or hide the evidence!

Saki Endless Sushi is a sister restaurant to the original Saki Endless Sushi located in Clearwater, along US19 at Gulf to Bay. This location can be found on Dale Mabry Highway in Carrollwood, about a half mile south of Fletcher Avenue. Like it’s namesake twin, Saki is a flat-priced, all-you-can-eat, as-much-as-you-like, strap-on-the-feedbag-and-chow-down-until-you-hurt-yourself kinda place. Dinner will run you less than $ 20 per person(before drinks), and lunch is closer to $ 12 per person. Children and old farts are cheaper(«Take out your false teeth Ma, and gum yourself a big olé plate of fried rice!») Once seated they hand you the menu and explain that you can order ANYTHING on the menu for the one flat price. Yes, anything… and as much as you want. The only kicker is that if you leave food, or rice balls on your plate that you’ll be charged a «piggy fee» and made to wash dishes for the rest of the evening. So let’s say that you check out the menu and decide to order a cup of Hot ‘n Sour soup, or maybe some gyoza dumplings, and then a couple of pieces of traditional sushi, and maybe a maki roll or two — and it’s all one flat rate. Your dining companion might choose eggrolls, chicken wings, hibachi steak and some teriyaki shrimp — and it’s also one flat rate. The kids may want to eat chicken nuggets and ice cream. I suggest that you drop them at McDonald’s — but yes, they can order that here as well. You can order sushi and sashimi either a la carte or on a platter, along with a surprisingly good variety of basic rolls and signature rolls. If you prefer the more traditional Americanized-Asian entrées you’ll see sweet & sour pork, General Tso’s chicken, beef with broccoli, etc. From the hibachi grill they have steak, shrimp, chicken, salmon, veggies and more. Then finally they have teriyaki steak, chicken, shrimp, and salmon. That’s right — everything for one flat price, so mix ‘n match to your heart’s content. Don’t expect to see a lot of exotic sushi options. This is your basic tuna, salmon, shrimp, and white fish; but they do a nice job mixing and matching various roll combinations with sauces. You can also order traditional sushi over rice, or a limited number of sashimi options. Again, it’s all one price. The servers hustle back and forth, placing your orders and then rushing the food to your table. If you’re not sure what to try just ask for their help. I’ve been known to mix up sashimi, signature sushi rolls, wakame salad, miso soup, hibachi shrimp, a side of fried scallops, salt & pepper shrimp, and a dish of mint chocolate chip ice cream — all for under $ 20. Burping quietly into your napkin between courses is considered necessary, and no one will give you the stink eye since they’re all doing it as well. Bottom line, this is a great way to sample a wide variety of different Asian food without being locked into a big olé platter of something that you don’t like. Portions are reasonable, and the price can’t be beat. Don’t go there expecting top-of-the-line fancy sushi. Just enjoy the place for what it is, and be happy that you ate a heck of a lot of food for a very reasonable price.

Been here a few times, feels like each time I go the quality of the food/service goes down a little. Great concept, price is reasonable for what they offer. All you can eat, with the food made to order. All you can eat places are great, but the quality of the food is definitely lower compared to other restaurants. The rolls of sushi are made to order, but seafood does not taste fresh. I had a roll which appears to have old avocado(brown/blackish). The rice of the rolls fall apart, maybe a bit too much vinegar in the rice? What I like about the restaurant is the selection, you aren’t just here for sushi. They have a good amount of appetizer which are delicious, some other options such as soup, or hibachi. Service here is not the best but decent. If you come here, don’t expect the best food. I suppose here, its quantity over quality. Its not terrible food, definitely a step above other buffets. I would come again, but not my top choice.

I finally tried Saki on a Friday night with my daughter and it was a so so experience. I give this place 3 stars because although it’s not going to be the first place I think of, I would probably come back for lunch. Pros: 1. Was sat immediately on a Friday night. 2. They didn’t damn good job transforming what used to be the worst«Jason’s» into a Japanese restaurant. 4. The sashimi(especially the escolar) is delish 5. You are able to «all you can eat» a variety of items freshly made for you 6. No nasty Buffett where you risk other patrons contaminating the food 7. The service is friendly 8. You even get dessert made to order Cons: 1. I don’t think the dinner price is worth it for what you get. 2. The hibachi items aren’t that good 3. The Korean beef ribs(galbi) was so gummy it was inedible 4. The rolls all tasted alike and contained waaaay too much rice compared to fish I guess during lunch you don’t get 8 sashimi pieces with your meal, so I’m not too cool with that since the sashimi was my fave.

I’ve been looking forward to trying Saki as I’ve heard good things from Rachel M. and Melinda M. And unlimited sushi?! Yes please! I also had a coupon and thought now is a good time as any, and we’ll save a few bucks! We came early, as it was a Friday night, and I’m sure it can get packed. We got seated immediately. We wanted to order a drink, so we asked our waitress what beer did they have on tap. She wasn’t sure, so she went to check and came back with the answer. Then we asked if they served sake, she wasn’t sure, so she went to check and came back. I wish there was a list available so then she wouldn’t have to go and check and then come back with the answer. I love the concept of ordering a la carte for a buffet. You know it’s freshly made, and it hasn’t been sitting under a heat lamp for who knows how long. I immediately order our limited 8 pieces of sashimi per person. Too bad sashimi wasn’t’ truly AYCE, I would’ve then given this place 5 stars! I ordered some of the hot food items as well as nigiri until I was stuffed. For a Buffet it’s good. Is it the best Sushi I’ve ever had? No. But again, let me iterate, it’s a buffet, buffets aren’t Michelin rated restaurants. I do love the concept of ordering a la carte but when it’s busy it’s a little bit slow getting to your table. Get there early and you can avoid that and make it to a movie afterwards!

After a few recommendations, we tried Saki again and really enjoyed it. Is it the best sushi I’ve ever had? No. However, it’s good quality for the price. Our service tonight was great. Peter was our server and impressed me with his memory. He had some good recommendations including the Fuji roll and crazy roll. We also shared edamame, teppanyaki broccoli and Philadelphia rolls. We tried sashimi and the fresh salmon was my favorite. All in all, it’s a good meal at a fair price.

Endless Sushi and Hibachi, what?! I’ve been to Saki in Clearwater and Koizi in New Tampa. Since this is a new location, I totally had to go with my Asian guru sista friends Natalie M. and Melinda M. Trust me, your life at any Asian type restaurant is not complete until you go with them. They will make your life and ordering food so easy. We also had an awesome waiter Peter who took great care of us. I ask tons and tons of questions and he took care if me. I also ask for weird requests like pick me out the best sushi rolls that taste good and look the prettiest. Yes that’s me. It did not phase him whatsoever. We tried the following: Saki roll White dragon roll Fugi roll Volcano roll Rainbow roll Romance roll Hibachi chicken and steak Salmon rose Tuna roe(fish eggs) Salt and pepper calamari & shrimp Thank god there was five of us. This was a lot of food. We didn’t pick it up as a regular buffet. They would make all of it fresh. Just don’t abuse the system and have tons of leftovers because you will have to pay for those pieces even though it’s one price for the meal. This is a brand new place. It has been open maybe a month. It is super modern with the flashy Vegas LED lights.
