This place just keeps finding ways to disappoint me. I’ll usually go to Maloney’s once a month for wing night or burger night. The only reason I am giving them two stars is because burger night is actually worth it and is tasty. Wing night on the other hand is very deceiving. .25 cent wing night is a great deal but you get exactly what you pay for. What do I mean by that? The wings are as a small as my pinky finger and are usually over cooked. They obviously use smaller wings for this special as no place would serve wings this small on a daily basis. The solution is to order more wings so you can get full. Nope. They limit it to 10 wings per person. If you’re really into portion control, you’ll love wing night! My last visit there took 25 minutes to get my wings as well as my barely warm french fries. I also like that ranch is .50 cents. More than a chicken wing. That doesn’t happen often. I would also say that Maloney’s isn’t a large establishment but isn’t a small one either. Having only two servers working a pretty popular night isn’t the best idea from a management perspective. I get it, these girls assume that since wings are so cheap during this night of the week that they won’t get tipped anything. When your service is below average and you come around to my table twice throughout the night, than its very safe to assume that. They act like they don’t want to be there and have poor body language. The service here used to be somewhat good but its going downhill fast. Also, if you like to eat alone and not be bothered, go and eat here because at least the servers won’t come around often.

We have been here several times. We have gone for just drinks with friends as well as lunches. When I first ordered I wasnt expecting much as far as quality. I was thinking bar = bar food. I was so surprised how good the food was. It tasted fresh and had some wonderful and different flavors. The staff is very friendly and the place has a fun yet laid-back atmosphere.

Just on a short notice we decided to run out for dinner. We had heard nice thing and we weren’t disappointed. The Fish & Chips were excellent and we’re certainly be returning. Food and service made for a nice evening.

Great place to watch games. I find myself there a lot during the NFL season. Lots of TV’s. Staff is always available. Never had an issue here.

Good and cheap. My husband got the Monday .25 cent meal and they were delicious. I got one of the nicer dinner options, grilled chicken, for 9.95, it was on the smaller portion size. They have a veggie burger that sounds delicious.

My friends who originally brought me in here six months ago suggested we all go together again. Sadly, this experience will probably keep me away now for good. Too bad, I had even recommended this location to someone else recently and will be telling them to try the new one in Carrollwood instead. This was all about the service, so going to the new location eliminates the likelihood that I will deal with the same employee again. I watched the first period of the hockey game and then was looking to see a menu to order food that I could take home by the time the second period ended. After failed attempts to get the employee’s attention, I figured the only way I would get a menu is to get up and go to the front door and grab one on my own. It took awhile, but we were finally approached for the first time in at least 20 minutes and I placed a simple appetizer order for takeout while my friend ordered some wings and a refill on his beer. Fast forward to when the second period of the hockey game ended and I still had no food to take home, no further contact with the employee and simply left rather than wait around any longer. If it hadn’t been for the good company and conversation with my friends while watching the Lightning game, this would have been a complete waste of time. Mistakes happen, but to take someone’s order and then never interact with them again(let alone not actually produce that order at all) is really pathetic.

Well if the burger is good I have to say pod things. I had the Stank. It was HUGE and perfectly cooked. The flavor was very good and not overly hot. It tasted like they cooked it on an open fire grill. The bun was toasted and had a wonderful sweetness. The atmosphere was good with TV’s all around. The happy hour is pretty good with $ 2.50 bud lite drafts.(on the day I went) That is good in my book.

Maloney’s is my favorite bar/pub in Tampa! Great atmosphere. They often feature live bands which is a nice touch. They also have daily food and drink specials! A clutch alternative to the rowdy South Tampa bar scene. Highly recommended!

I had the Whiskey Pub Burger. I was pretty happy with it over all. I don’t know why whiskey is in its name though, there was no whiskey flavor at all. It did still taste great. The fries could have been fried a bit longer to get them more crisp, they were steak fries, but that’s personal opinion for how crispy you like your fries. For sure, the tap was definitely lacking for an Irish pub, but it had the staples. I didn’t get any whiskey, so I can’t comment on that.

It’s a nice pub. The drinks are not expensive. I actually ordered their margarita, which was great. The bartender was nice. Now in my mind this place is a 3.5 based on the fact on the drink menu they offer a Jameson with ginger ale. For 7 $. I ordered it because I actually love Jameson and ginger ale !! Now the problem was that there was no ginger ale. It was Sprite and Coke mixed together. As a bartender I know this because that’s how you make«ginger ale«if you don’t have it. But don’t advertise GINGERALE if you don’t put ginger ale.

Hubs says, «Thank you, Unilocal.» We came here because at some point tonight we wanted Sheppard’s Pie… I saw great reviews on Unilocal, and Maloney’s website said all burgers were $ 6 on Wednesday. So we were in. And, as hubs just told me, the burgers were worth much more than $ 6! As most of our evenings begin, many other restaurants were suggested by both of us. Coupons were uncovered. Unilocal reviews were scrutinized. Moods were dissected. Then, after leaning toward Sheppard’s Pie, we discovered Maloney’s $ 6 burgers on Wednesdays. Delicious burgers! I got the Blarney Bacon Burger(cooked perfectly medium) & loved every single bite. My Jameson Irish Mule was fabulous(but $ 7!). Hubs enjoyed his $ 4 Hart draft, and his off-menu burger with mushrooms & provolone. He really loved that burger. And the service was excellent. We will definitely be back for $ 6 Sheppard’s Pie on Tuesdays!

Our first visit and we WILL be returning. Teresa was absolutely wonderful. It’s hard to find a bartender/server who is so sweet and great at her job. We ordered the fried shrimp with their«boom boom» sauce and was very satisfied. They make their own blue cheese dressing which was really good. I ordered the french dip and they did not skimp on the meat. It was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband ordered the Ruben without the 1,000 island dressing and he was just as happy with his order. Maloney’s did not go lightly on the meat and everything was worth the price and more. Their drink prices will bring you back. We will be returning. The whole staff we encountered left us feeling like family. We highly recommend visiting this establishment.

Great place for groups and happy hour. Live music and ice cold beer! Food is good also. I love the chicken Philly, I here the French dip is good also. About 12 tvs and a full bar. If you have kids they have first Friday on the first Friday of the month. Bring the kids and get your drink on… then if you live in Westchase. …walk home!

Maloney’s has great daily deals! When we went they had a $ 3 shocktop deal which my table quickly pounced all over. Paired with the all day $ 5 car bomb shot(half pint of Guinness w/a shot of jameson + baileys) our party did two rounds before we called it quits for the night. Their burger wasn’t bad and served hot and fresh. I ordered the Blarney Bacon burger which was covered in a slice of swiss & american cheeses along with two big strips of bacon. Gotta have it Medium rare(of course) as with each bite, the burger juices were soaked up well by the bun which to me is key, simply so that my plate is not a juicy mess right after. I choose the onion petals as a side which came in a small portion but was very crispy and came with a nice zesty creamy sauce. We also ordered 10 wings which was just ok. split our order by getting half maloneys bbq & half asian ginger which was ok but nothing to remember as it was drenched in sauces. only came with 2 pieces of celery which truthfully was a little disappointing. I wouldn’t come back for anything else but the cheap drinks & burgers. i saw a few adds for $ 6 burgers on Wednesdays along with game nights for which i may check out. also heard they have live music which is always a plus ! will have to check that out and report back The interior was very dark which is a perfect atmosphere to make this a low key type of day, drinking the night away with a few buddies. Plus the cheap drinks(they have moscow mules & old fashioneds!) you really cant go wrong for a local spot in west chase. Service was a little slow(which was surprising being that there were only 3 tables full) as it took a little while to get our orders in but it wouldn’t stop me from coming back as i loved the local feel of the bar. Honestly as long as the drinks keep flowing & are light on the pockets, then you can count on me as a return customer!

Visited this place with some friends. When I got there my friends already ordered drinks and some food. So I waited for the server to show up and asked for my order. Before hands my friends already told me about the deal and so I already know what to order. She approached me and ask for my order and told her want I wanted. I was kinda confuse that my order is just a glass of beer and it took a while for her to bring it to me. And so I told my friends my beer is taking a while, did she forgot my order? And they agreed that my order is taking forever. So when she brought my beer, I immediately told her that I wanted 5 pcs. wings to kinda give her time to bring my order in. The food was okay, had better but it’s okay. The place as Sunday was kinda slow. That is why i was confuse that my order took a while. I also noticed that the guys rest room has another door that leads to another rest room. Confusing. The happy hour was good got cheap drinks and shots. Can’t beat that.

My date and I wanted to grab a quick drink before my company’s Christmas party. We didn’t realize Westchase was celebrating First Friday, when we drove up. It took a while to find parking, but we lucked out. Maloney’s was the closest bar to us, so we stopped in for a drink. The place was packed, but we managed to find a table. Despite the bar being crowded, we were waited on right away by Jordan. Jordan was very attentive and personable and seemed so calm and collected in spite of First Friday. I really liked the vibe in this bar and the crowd wasn’t too douchie either. There was a gentleman performing live music covers from the 90s and 80s, and he was enjoyable to listen to. They are many TVs in this bar and it would be a great place to catch a game. We only had time for one drink, so unfortunately we didn’t get to eat. I definitely would return to this bar for some adult beverages and to try their food. I have already made plans for next month’s First Friday to visit!

We’ve done take out from Maloney’s as well as eaten in and both have been great experiences. Today we brought our kids and say outside and it was great! The patio can accommodate those that wish to have a view, catch a breeze and even accommodate a double stroller for twins! I had the Fish & Chips special. For $ 6 it was a huge piece of fish and the fries were cooked perfectly. Crispy and seasoned to my tasting. My husband had the Buffalo Chicken Flatbread and he loved it.(He’s a really picky eater too) I had a pint of Guinness which was delicious. Cost: $ 5.60 We will definitely be back especially since it’s kid friendly.

I’m here tonite, with my lovely bride, based on a Mark H review. Just ordered the mushroom and Swiss burger, and the wife the California burger . It’s Wednesday $ 5 burger night. Every type of burger on the menu just $ 5. Sipping a draft ultra $ 2. Waiting for our well done gourmet burgers. Burgers were cooked to perfection. Our well done burgers(burgers should always be cooked well done) were moist and juicy. The bun was fabulous. Lettuce tomato and oinion with a pickle on the side were all included. Instead of fries we substituted the Ceasar salad for 2 bucks extra. Worth it. This is going to be my favorite Wednesday nite burger joint!

Listen up, folks. There are two types of good burgers in this world, good burgers at full price and good burgers at a discounted price. On any given Wednesday, you can order the best burger in Tampa for the price. This means, that it’s price, combined with it’s flavor, make it the best burger deal in town. Let me explain. On Wednesday’s, McDivot’s(down the road from Maloney’s) has a great burger deal. $ 3.99 for a massive burger, but that’s where the deal stops. Any toppings, fries, chips are all up charged accordingly. So, while the burger is big and good, it’s not a better deal than Maloney’s Wednesday deal. Why? Because Maloney’s not only has a FLAME-GILLED advantage over McDivot’s, but you can order any damn burger on the menu at the discounted price. I’ve had them all at this point, and they’re all delicious. There are no up charges, and that is the reason why I believe that it’s the best burger in Tampa for the price. Judging the burger alone on it’s taste and forgetting the Wednesday deal, I’d rank it in my top 5, easily. 1. James Joyce 2. Oyster Shucker’s 3. Bern’s 4. Maloney’s 5. Jack Willies It’s amazing to me that Burger 21 has survived with Maloney’s sitting across the way, selling a far superior product at cheaper prices.

Stopped in to Maloney’s last week for a beer and hubster got all excited when he saw the $ 5 Tuesday special for shepherds pie. So we came back. It was surprisingly empty. Just a few other patrons. Lots of TVs for you sports fans, including a large projector. I was glad that they played music. Service was great. I got the grilled salmon with veggies and a Caesar salad and it was tasty. Hubster gave two thumbs up for the shepherds pie and house salad. Can’t go wrong with the $ 3 Maloney’s red. Bill came to under $ 30 before tip. They have live music Thursday-sat and daily specials. Will come back again.
