They have great pizza and beer. Weds nights they have a fabulous BBQ night. I had the all the meat, ribs, chicken sausage, collard greens and baked beans. Great flavor, and goes well with the wide variety of beer. My friends band, Jct 27 was playing outside, a little humid but very nice. Great happy hour atmosphere, very laid back and close to parking garage. Definitely a great place to go in Ybor city.

I was looking for something to occupy a couple hours of my evening. Because of my affinity for beer, Brett N recommended I check out New World. It was Sunday night and I was rolling solo so I was hoping to meet some folks at the bar to chat with. I walked up there and it turns out it was just me. Pretty awkward to walk into a place and turn right back around so I sat down to have a beer. I’m glad I did because they had a pretty impressive beer menu with a number of things I’ve never tried. Unfortunately, a couple of them had sold out over the weekend, but as I mentioned, it was Sunday evening. I started chatting with the bartenders and had a few laughs while they were tidying up for the night. They made some recommendations for other places to check out and I even ran into one of them in my travels. Very hospitable on both sides of the bar!

Awesome food, fun atmosphere. We came for lunch and I thought a BBQ buffet would be less than appealing. I got a good amount of great food, and a Diet Coke for $ 9. Into it! Can’t wait to come back for some beers and to hang out!

Had the Boulevard Rye Ale on tap and fairly certain the tab/lines need to be cleaned. Beer taste over-carbonated. Cheap pizza and overpriced beer.

Good beer selection here but the thing is the service is always – and I mean every single time – unpredictable. It’s either hit or miss or feels fine one minute and then not so good the next. Whether it’s a matter of being ignored for too long, seemingly intentionally overlooked or a bit of a snarky attitude, I just don’t really get it. This is the service industry folks and tips are better when you’re accommodating. The food is reasonably priced and has always been good in my experience. I like the atmosphere here too with the pleasant indoor bar and outdoor patio. They feature live music Wednesday through Saturday. It’s a fine spot but I never feel completely welcomed.

My sister and I came to New World again to give it another go and this time around Mary Anne the bartender was awesome! She was all smiles and extremely funny. I will be back any night she is working! I felt that old neighborhood vibe again and even met some cool new people… I loved the fooseball challenges also!

If you want a small scale venue to catch a regional act while enjoying a wide selection of craft brews, this is your spot! Hard to beat on a nice evening in the Tampa Bay Area.

Great place to listen to live music and get a few beers. They have a cool outdoor patio area. They also serve some really good pizza if you need something to eat. They also have bbq wednesdays which is amazing but you have to get there early.

This is a really cool place, especially on nice days when it is perfect for being outside. The reason I say this place is cool, is because the way to set up. When you walk in, you walk into the outside, which is essentially like a small beer garden from Germany. There are wooden tables, lots of shading, natural and umbrellas, and it is also dog friendly. The inside(not the outside inside, but the inside beyond that :-) also has a pretty decent size bar with additional seating. If you are a beer lover I think this is a great place for you. The menu has an overwhelming number of beers for you to choose from. If you are going there to eat, in my opinion, the menu is very limited. The food there is tasty but there isn’t a giant selection. I think that is okay for this place, it seems like beer first, food second! There was no live entertainment when we were there however, it is my understanding that they do have live entertainment on some nights. Another bonus about this place is it is a block off of the main strip in Ybor. Finally the prices were reasonable, the service is good, and if you love beer this is the place to be.

This bar is very chill with great space, both indoor and outdoor. Good energy. Great beer selection. Friendly staff. Get the chicken wings!!! You get 6 per order and, believe me, you won’t want to share them! The pizza is equally good. Thin crust with really good flavor and creative, generous toppings. One more bonus, great background music that is kept at a lower volume where you can actually hear the people you’re hanging out with.

This was our last stop of our beer tastings and when we arrived I was surprised to see that this location did not brew their own beer. They had a variety of beers in bottles and drafts but had not actually brewed their own beer in years. This place was small but had outside seating that I think would be nice during the day. The staff was friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the beers they served and the area.

Great tap and bottled beer selection along with live music practically every night and excellent wood fired pizza. One of the most underrated and best places in Ybor to just chill and enjoy great food and beer.

I have a confession to make. I have lived in Tampa for over 10 years. I love craft beer. I love Ybor. My husband is in a band. One would think that I would be a regular at New World, right? Well — one would be wrong because this past weekend was the first time I ever set foot in New World. That will change going forward! I figured that New World was a brewery(based on the name). In fact, it is a bar and restaurant with delicious brews. I did not eat the day that I stopped in as I was there visiting a holiday market, but I was intrigued by the looks of the food that we saw others enjoying. Their beer selection is solid and the place has a real Tampa/Ybor feel to it. I can imagine that it is a GREAT place to watch live music. The patio was just lovely and I enjoyed sipping a Pilsner while soaking up the sun. Now that I have seen the light of New World, there is no turning back. Can’t wait to come back for some live tunes and some chicken wings!

Great beer list with drafts and canned/bottled. A neat spot that’s really more pub than bar with some decent looking food options. Inside and outside seating areas. But no, this is not a brewery.

Came here for Sunday brunch and was pleasantly surprised! This place is an adorable bar with a large patio and a cozy, casual indoor seating area with both tables and a bar top. The brunch is a buffet, and for $ 15 you get all you can eat homemade baked goods(scones, biscuits, sticky buns), eggs, bacon, pancakes, cheese grits, fruit salad, green salad, quiche, pulled pork, and breakfast tacos! You can also order freshly made eggs and omelettes, and the chef in charge was super sweet and made a great omelette. The baked goods were excellent, and I’m normally picky about both scones and biscuits. Our drinks were refilled promptly, and the bar has an excellent beer selection! I would definitely come back for brunch and am super excited to try more of their beers as well as the patio seating once the weather cooperates!

What can I say other than this is the best kept BBQ lunch place in Tampa. While the smells from the BBQ pit waft through the air as you enter the bohemian courtyard until you sink your teeth into the pulled pork or delicious sausages, New World Brewery is such a great place to enjoy a fabulous BBQ lunch. The meals are served buffet style. Today there were 4 cold salads a curry pasta salad, pesto pasta salad and 2 types of cole slaw, on the hot bar– mashed potatoes, baked beans, greens, curried chicken, jerk chicken, pulled pork, sausage and BBQ chicken and apple cobbler– yummy! The plates are weighed each time you go up for servings. They make their own sauces and each one is distinctly flavorful and delicious. I prefer the Carolina Gold– I believe that is what it is called. They have an enormous beer selection as well! The staff are also what make this place so great. They are kind, attentive and always so welcoming! This is one of my fave places in Tampa!

Great home in the wall place. Crazy assortment of beer, even sweet beers on tap. The bar staff is hilarious and very personable, even to newbies like us. There were clearly lots of regulars on a Sunday night, but we got really great service as well. The smoked chicken wings are one of the better appetizers that we have ever had. No really, amazing. The smoked and jerk flavors mix well and can be tasted through out the meat. We are defiantly coming back for those. The atmosphere is so cool and friendly. Great place.

Located next to a parking garage and the Church of Scientology, you would never suspect this small pub to be a home for great food. You enter through the dining area and into a large bar filled with Tampa memorabilia and hundreds of specialty beers. This place has atmosphere! This place has been a hidden gem on the West side of Ybor for almost 20 years. It has great patio seating and live bands most nights of the week. The décor inside is very unique and it’s littered with all sorts of «chatski» type decorations. They have an old school pinball machine and a Foosball table if you a hankering for some sport.

Cool hipster bar that’s kind of divey inside with a laidback outside patio where you can watch live music at night. Inside has a jukebox that has hipster bands, most of whom I’ve never heard of. But it’s free so it’s a cool way to discover«new» music. There’s also one of those 80s dome hockey games. Pretty nostalgic… I don’t drink so I can’t speak to the beers but they have a wide variety of craft beers and mead to choose from. I go there for lunch on occasion where they have a small BBQ buffet– a few meats-pork, chicken and sausage, maybe 7 – 8 sides, such as baked beans, macaroni and apple cobbler. You just grab a plate, load it up, have it weighed, order a drink and pay after you’ve finished eating. I load it up pretty good and it comes between $ 6 – 8. The pork has a nice, smokey flavor. Just be selective when you put it on your plate as some of it is really fatty. So you don’t want to pay for something if you’re not going to eat it. They have a few BBQ sauces to choose from. The macaroni is cold with an Italian dressing of some sort but it works. The baked beans are your average baked beans, not bad. I like the apple cobbler the most. They also serve pizza(it is in Ybor after all). On certain nights they have BBQ and live music; that’s probably when you want to go to get the full experience of NWB. Check out their website.
